After 10 or so attempts, they finally left an automated message saying they were a collection agency...I am not behind on any bills and have excellent credit so I was suprised and figured I'd better call...they kept me on hold for 8 minutes before I hung up. Never stated what company I had a past due debt with.

Multiple calls from this number. Finally left message stating "this is an attempt to collect a debt." Never identify who they are or who they are calling for. Potential scam...

Only 2 calls so far from this number, but they didn't leave a message and when I picked up the second time, no answer.

when I called them back they said they were debt collectors from amazon.com.  They had also sent me emails.  The emails said I owed amazon 3 different amounts.  I checked my order history (and seller history to be sure) and I havent made any orders for those amounts ever! (i check back 3 years).
I also checked with amazon and they confirmed that I had no debt with them.
So these people, TRS, are outright lying.

So I called them to clear it up, they demanded my drivers liscence number, I was very resistant thinking it was a scam but they said they could not help me without it.  Then they said they needed my bank account number.  I did not want to give it to them but she assured me they were a legit company and they needed it to verify this was really me.  I felt like an idiot but I gave it to her.  

She then told me the bank account they have on file for me is different by 1 number.  I asked her to open a dispute since obviously there was some error and those charges werent mine.  She refused saying since the bank account number didnt match, she couldnt verify my identity.

She wanted me to mail in a copy of my check, a copy of my liscence, a copy of my social security card or birth certificate, and some other stuff.  Hell no was I going to send that in.  The whole thing seems fishy.

Even since then, they have called me hundreds of times.  About half the time they leave an automated voicemail.  Ive answered about 20 times, and its always just dead air and then they hang up.
They also have been calling excessively, and also illegally.  It is illegal to make collection, business, or telemarketing calls between 10pm and 9am.  They have repeatedly called me at 2 and 3 am, and 6-7 am.  Does anyone know what I can do about this?

I've been receiving calls from Unknown Name/Number/ID whatever on my cell for the past few weeks. When I pick up the phone, I hear a sound like someone driving in a car, and it hangs up after about 3-4 Seconds.

Today, I finally got a caller ID number on this one, but again, nobody at the end of the line. I think they are related.

Anyway, I am on the no-call list for our state, including for my cell. What they are doing, therefore, seems illegal to me.

The amazon.com collections idea is interesting, but I don't give out my cell number to companies (only friends/family), and I don't buy stuff from Amazon.

I get the same calls. They leave automated messages reciting a bunch of numbers. It's jibberish. Also, I receive at least twice a day calls from an Unknown Number but they never say anything. It sounds like a call center on the occasions they've gone to voicemail.

Every morning at 8:30 I've gotten this call for three months. My name and then a list of numbers- not a phone number. It is a machine, I cannot get an answer at this numnber. The calls also come at random times-- I'm frustrated!

These people just called but the # showed up as "Unknown number". They asked for my son who just turned 18 but totally screwed his name up. I could tell by all the background noise it was some kind of telemarketing service so I told them I wouldn't let them talk to him unless they told me who they were and they said "TRS, he did business with us." I then said he wasn't home.
A few minutes later I get a call from this 866 # and when I answered it sounded like a dead line. After reading some of the remarks I see that this 866# and TRS are one in the same.
My son just used his new debit card and made a purchase from Amazon about a month ago so I'm assuming they got his number from them. I saw someone else has mentioned Amazon on here.
