Carter Taylor called me again asking to speak to the owner, on behalf of the Environmental Defense Fund. I told her we were not interested and asked her to take us off her call list. She asked me if I thought this was a sales call and I said that I've been instructed to tell her to take us off her call list. She kept being persistent, and I told her again to take us off her call list and hung up.

Got a call from them at 9:10PM. Lady said she was calling from Arbitron and they are doing research on purchasing of shoes and buying habits of shoes. I told her it was after 9PM, she apologized politely and hung up.

they're doing market research / surveys, therefore exempt from the national do not call registry. all you have to do is call their main # or email them (if an email is provided on their website) and ask to be placed on their internal do not call list. takes a week or so but the calls do eventually stop. filing a complaint with the ftc, donotcall.gov or state's attorney does little, since they are legally allowed to call you. go the proper and direct route and ask the company calling you to add your ten-digit phone #'s to their do not call list.

once again, i will take any and all legal actions against any one or company calling my personal cell phone number. i had to get rid of my land line because of this type of s**t and i will go to hell before i will let it happen to my cell.

I received a phone call on my cellphone from this number last night. The night before I received a similar call on my landline, so that was interesting.
The person who called my cellphone wanted me to complete a survey about education, and they asked for me directly. I can't remember the name of the company they claimed to represent. I asked how they got my name and number, and they said it was randomly generated. I used to work for a telephone survey place that did the same thing, but when we called people, we did not know their names because the computer really did randomly generate numbers. Clearly this guy was lying.

The caller must have been using a dime-store telephone because I could hear every other word he was saying. It sounded as though he was asking for a manager. I pretended that my phone didn't work. After repeating himself 3 times he hung up.

she called me, asking if my parents were home. ive always been paranoid. when i asked her what it was about, she had hung up. i called back and got the same thing about the interviewing services of america or some BS. i looked up the number and shockingly, everyone else had the same comment... how do you block numbers??
Lisa 2011-06-06 21:02:27 Unknown
Johanna Hernandez called me and I told her that I already asked Carter Tayler to remove us from your call list. She said she would take care of it.

They have been calling for several weeks now. Usually in the afternoon but also at night and on weekends. When I called them back, a recorded message said "Thank you for calling Interviewing Service of America, blah, blah, blah". They claim to be one of the largest market research firms in North America. They are trying to perform survey research studies. The one time I picked up, a lady wanted to ask me questions about restaraunts. This is getting old real quick.

I got a call from this number about some "radio" survey, and I promptly answered most of the questions (excluding any personal info). The person asked me for address to send 10 bucks for participation. I politely refused. Well, if they can know the phone number, they can pretty much get the address. That's beside the point... I just don't like to receive this kind of (free?) money. So, if any of you like, you might wanna take the call ;-)
My thought is, if it is some genuine survey, and somebody is employed to do that, why not help at least once a year ;-) Rest of the time, caller ID helps.

I picked up. Asked me if I spoke Chinese. I said no. Then asked me if I spoke Korean. I said no. Then I asked who she was, but she said "sorry I think I got the wrong number" and hung up.

They call me afternoon at 3:30 pm, CA time,
Don't know how they got my number.
pete 2011-06-06 21:02:27 Unknown
they keep calling and hang up. does anyone know how to stop this?
Jenninmem 2011-06-06 21:02:27 Unknown
I get the calls about the same time. I thought I had registered my number with the Do not call list. But I hadn't. Well I did today. So now I have to wait 30 days to file a complaint. I have asked them to remove my number and have been told that they can't. I like what the person above said about having a sexually explicit conversation. HMMMM I may try it if they call again!!!!!

They call me every afternoon. After 6:00pm, CA time,
Don't know how they got my number.
I already told me, I do not want calls and say they will call.
Next time, I have to be very verbally agressive with them. hoping they can stop.

SS 2011-06-06 21:02:27 Unknown
Kept getting calls from this survy company over & over.
I finally got fed up and started to ask the survey person very sexually explicit questions. I also started making up some sexual stuff.
They ended up hanging up on me and have never called back, yippie it worked!!!
As an attorney I can tell you that most employers are more interested in a sexual harrassment lawsuit then and lame reports from the "do not call" list of america. A sexual harrassment lawsuit is much more expensive and has much better odds of happening.
Oh and BTW I let the survey person know that if she didnt like how I taked she should file a sexual harrassment in the workplace claim. She might get some money for having to hear my vile suggestions. :-)
Try this it works every single time! They blacklist you for being a pervert.

I have started receiving calls from this number. They never leave a message and so far they call when I am not at home. I am on the donotcall.gov list and since your info expires every 2 - 3 years, I resign up each year. I have learned that the most effective way to end this is to just tell them to stop calling, hang up and then immediately file a complaint with the donotcall.gov and ftc.gov and your state attorney general. Once you do that the calls end really quick. Some are exempt from the donotcall.gov list and rather than playing their game of tryiing to figure out why then I am getting the call, I just file the complaint with all agencies and let them do the investigation. There can't be anything more intimidating than receiving investigative calls from their state attorney general, your state attorney general, the FTC and Do Not Call Investigators. So folks start filing your complaints if you want places like this to stop calling and very possibly be put out of business. It is well worth the few minutes it takes to send those complaints to end the hassel of these calls.

After receiving several calls, I simply went to their website contact page: http://www.isacorp.com/contact.html and called the LA Headquarters number. I politely told the person who answered I wanted them to stop calling my number. She asked for the number, wrote it down and said the calls would stop.
We'll see, eh?

I answered and the woman said her name was Carter Taylor and asked to speak to the CEO of the company. She said she was calling on behalf of the Environmental Defense Fund. I asked what that was and she said it is a national non-profit organization, and she wanted to ask some questions about renewal energy. I said the owner was not available and asked her for her phone number and she said they don't have a call back line. She wanted to know if I would take the survey, and I said I wasn't comfortable with that since I do not know about renewable energy. She asked if I wanted their website and said it is www.isacorp.com. She made it sould like it was the Environmental defense Fund's website, but it isn't. It's Interviewing Service of America's website. That's 5 minutes I won't get back.
