I see number I don' recognize and I don't answer, they get the voice mail and don't leave a message.

Didn't recognize number - let it ring.  No msg. left

They call 2-5 times daily, I pick up - no response, when I call back i get a message about fund raising...

When I called Verizon, they told me i could not block and i could make a complaint with my local authorities - like i have the time?

This number has called me three times today without leaving any messages. I called back (with my Send Caller ID option turned off) and got a voicemail greeting calling it "the Donor Services Line of Outreach Associates, the nation's leading tele-fundraising organization" and asking that I leave my name and phone number and someone would call me back. Googling on their name revealed that they are a contract fund-raiser, i.e.- charities contract with them to raise money on their behalf via telemarketing. The report I saw indicated that about 50% of the money they raise they keep for themselves.

OK, here's an update. They called me again a few minutes ago and this time I answered. They were raising money for one of the public television stations where I've subscribed in the past. I told them if I was going to renew my subscription I'd do it directly with the station, thanked the guy for calling, and hung up.

I get calls from this number and they hang up after I say hello

My husband and I answered this call at the same exact time.  The man on the other end asked to speak to ny husband.  He seemed a bit flustered, perhaps because we both answered.  My husband gruffly asked him what he wanted.  The man again asked to speak to my husband and my husband said, "Speaking. What do you want!?"  The man then said he couldn't hear well due to a bad connection and said he would call right back. He never called back.

I answered and the person was calling on behalf of KQED Public Radio for fundraising. I previously donated and that is how they had my phone number.

Previously posted that it was a call on behalf of KQED Public Radio/TV, and that it was a renewal. I want to add that the person I spoke to was polite, and that I had no negative issues with the caller or organization.

Rcvd call on cell phone and when I answered there was no response. I hung up.a4w2
