Received calls from the Ontario number all week. Today it changed.
the caller ID read OHIO call from 330-005-4120. A prefix 005? Yea, right?!?!?

Plan to return the call from their own number using trick software.

Then will report harrassment to both FCC and FTC.

I doubt the calls are meant for me......

I am sick and tired of getting phone calls from this company.  Yes, I admit thatI have a debt with them, and I am willing to work out a payment option with them, but they are UNWILLING to work with me.  I understand that I have to also work with their options, but they should respect my options as well.  I keep getting phone call after phone call and speaking with several different representatives, and I have told them over and over, at least a dozen times, what I would like them to do, and what I ask is not out of the ordinary.  

All I ask of them is to provide me with a statement of my debt, either by mail or my email, so that I can see first hand the debt.  Every time I ask, I get told several different stories of their policy.  A couple of times I was told this this verbatim, "Oh, I am sorry, our company will not provide you with that, we have to have a commitment from you first that you will pay and then we will provide a statement to you upon receiving payment."  They want me to provide them with my checking account information first.


Also, when I have asked the same thing, several times I was told, "Oh, I will be glad to mail one out for you.  I will put this phone calls on a 7 day hold while that is mailed to you.  Once you get it, please call us and make some type of arrangement for payment.  If you do not call us, we will call you back after 7 days."  I never EVER receive a statement.

A third time, I asked the same thing, and I was told, "I will be glad to email you that information; I am emailing it to you now.  I will give you 15 minutes to review the information and call you back."  We hang up, I NEVER RECEIVE THE EMAIL, and they do call back within 15 minutes and when I tell them that I never received the email, they say, "The only way you will pay is if you see a statement, there is no other way you will make arrangements?"  I tell them, "Until I see a statement of some sort, either by mail or email, I will not make arrangements for payment because you will not get my checking account number so you can have free will to withdraw as you please.  If you do not send me any kind of statement, there will be no payment, so therefore, you will never see a payment out of me."

I have tried to work with this company, but they are UNWILLING to respect my questions also.  Until they are able to compromise with my wishes, they will never see a payment from me!

Sent a letter to stop calling business numbers - refuses to listen - husband had a debt with Capitol One - Global Credit Corp is not going by the fair collection laws - is calling from several different cell numbers: What is the answer? need these to stop

Got a call from this phone #. They asked for my ex-husband who I've been divorced from for 16 years & who has NEVER resided at said phone #. They claim that they have removed my # from their files but we'll see...

Been Calling my work!! and it has to stop!!...

I am a lawyer. They called me at work, and asked for me by name. Left a message with my assistant claiming to be "Global". When I returned the call (Mustafa @ extension 6378), "Mustafa" was mysteriously unable to open my file. He would not tell me why he was calling. I informed him that if he was selling something, we were not interested. He assured me they were not, but would not tell me the nature of the business. I hung up.

I then researched them and found a rather dodgy-looking outfit supposedly in the business of collections, but with all kinds of very questionable practices, in Canada, in the US and other countries. I have no outstanding debt, so am puzzled as to why they were calling, unless they perhaps were looking for legal assistance. They definitely won't be getting it from me!

Final entry:  These idiots finally "caved" to tell me the creditor they were representing.  Capital One.  Hmmm; as far as I was told by Capital One, they do their own collection calls.  Plus, they have had complaints with these jerks for some time.  Finally, I called once more after a month went by.  "It's out of my office; I don't handle that name or that account any more. It's back at Capital One."  I commented, "So, after only two months of trying to reach someone; you give up and return the file to the parent company?  How do you stay in business?  I'd fire somone like you in a heartbeat."  The idiot on the other end said a few obscene words and hung up.  As far as I'm concerned; the are finished.  ANYONE READING THIS; DO NOT ---I REPEAT, DO NOT --- pay attention to these people if they call.  Just report them; or harrass as I did.  Will they sue you? Not at all; because they are 100% fradulent.

These people are so unprofessional and impolite; if they worked for me, they'd be fired in less than an hour.  I don't know where they get the information they do to harass any and everybody; but they will be stopped.

This number is a complete scam.  They call a number on my famly plan and ask for someone who used the phone for a short time.  (A friend, but not the owner of the phone; that's me)  She apparently is in "non-compliance" but will not tell me what or why "It's complicated." "It's personal between her and us."; but asked for her bank account number, routing number and Social Secuirty number "so that we can clear this matter up."  The first time I asked to place the number on the DNC list; they obliged, but they started calling again today after a month.  I finally talked with a few people today; the name of the "company" is "Global Corporation" out of Toronto. (I had friends trace the call and have an address.) The first person (I have a name) got nasty with me and hung up when I said I was going to pursue an international lawsuit.  I called right back and three people (I have names here also) told me I could not be told the reason of the call unless the person they want faxes a "Power of Attorney" to them; but would not give out the number.  "She has it already."  And the last one hung up on me too.  So, I will persue the idea of an international lawsuit; anybody want to join in the fun?

I've been getting calls from this number just about every day over the last week. The leave a message with a referance #. The thing that really worries me the most is that the message is intended for my sister. I've alerted her that this is probably some sort of scam.

I just received a call from an 866-577-5827, at 8:35 p.m. last night after I had already gone to bed after a very busy day, the phone rings.  I decided not to pick it up, and so I also made the decision to phone them back, and I actually spoke to another person on the receiving end, and he was looking for someone else.  Then this morning, I called them back again, and spoke with a woman with a very heavy accent, and she said my # was not even on this "list" that they have, and proceeded to hang up.  The person she was looking for was someone from my past who I do not even like, and she is still upset with me for taking her man away from her(that was over 15 yrs. ago)well, we were married for 7 yrs, and been divorced for 8 years, so, she is still holding a grudge for me; well, I will say to her, get over it and pay your damn bills, and stop using my # to give to other people as identity theft.

I have received an endless amount of calls from the 905 #. So I decided to do some research on my own.  It was amazing what I found out and the folks that I spoke with, and what their stories were.  The 905# is located in Hamilton, Ontario(Canada).  So, I looked up Canada on the internet, and I came across the Canadian gov't's equivalent to our searching out scams.  They are called Phone Busters, and they are well aware of the ongoing issue with this #, and the woman said that they just cannot seem to find out who these morons are, and that they are constantly moving around always, and that the gov't. up there is trying to put into legislation the "Do Call Registry" for the consumers there.  I also reported this to the FCC and the FTC and put my name on the National Do Not Call Registry which is different from the individual states registries, in that if these idiots continue to call you within a 31 day time of reporting this incident to them, they can seek them out and lay a very heavy fine on them. But, you all have to keep a log of the calls(date, time, #, and time of day, etc.)and they will take it from there!

I am sick and tired of getting calls from this number.  They don't say who they are or what they want, only press one.  They have been calling at all hours, seven days a week, and I am sick of it.  They have been getting progressively threatening.  The messages change but still they don't say who they are or what they want.  They apparently don't even know who they want when they say they believe the person they wish to speak to is at this number.  Get real!  What kind of scam are they running when they can't identify themselves and ask for the person they wish to speak to.  This has been going on for three weeks and enough is enough.  I am contacting the police and filing a harassment complaint.

I have gotten numerous calls on my answering machine from 866-577-5827 plus 9 calls from an associated number: 905-413-8586 (Ontario call).  The message was, I have an important message of a personal nature, please press any number to speak to an agent.  I finally called the 866 number to see who the heck it was.  A man answered, Hello.  I said, Hello, he repeated Hello.  I said, Who are you?  He said, Sam Williams and repeated my phone number.  I asked him why he was calling me and he asked if I was...(a relative who has never even visited my state).  I said no, but I would take a message.  He slammed the phone down.  I am now reading on the internet that it was Global Collections about a supposedly delinquent Capital One account that has nothing to do with me.

uh, they keep calling me. like during school. and I almost got my phone taken away,
but I have no idea who they are.. :/ they don't leave me a message though.

I have been receiving calls from this number almost daily at work. Today they called two of our lines at the same time and it's always a recorded message. I don't have time to mess with it so I just hang up.
