A Mr. Mike Callahan who stated to be from the Legal Department of Kessler and Freeman called and said that I was used as a reference for something (did not identify what) and wanted to know contact information on the individual who used me as a reference.  Stated a case # and mentioned a formal Fraud Case.

I spoke with a michael brooks in regards to a past due debt that i owed money on and he was one of the most pleasent people to work with. I cant speak for everyone at the firm but this gentleman helped me take care of my delinquent debt and update my credit report. This just goes to show that not all people who collect debt are the names you people are calling them. I would recommend asking to speak with him if you get a phone call from them.

these people keep calling my father looking for my husband. i have now reported them to my states attorney general and taken legal action against them. We need to stop this. I did a credit report on my husband who is in question and found tht the so called action isn't even on there. You guys are a fake and fraud.

This is the second year in a row that Kessler and Freedman have been harassing me.  They are pretending to call for the person who had my phone number previously.  
I am listed with the Do Not Call Resgistry and the Registry will not help me.  The Registry is discriminating against me.
I have good reasons to believe that this is all a part of a paid harassment program.  The book "The Shadow Factory" by James Bamford (on the shelves at Borders books) tells about the wiretaps on phones across the USA - including mine.  Newsweek featured a cover story on the wiretaps in Dec. 2008. The wiretaps on my phone, the calls from Kessler and Freedman must be linked in some way.  It's most likely linked to gang stalking (refer to gangstalkingworld.com)

After I post an online complaint about Kessler and Freedman calling me for (going on 2 years) they increase the harassment with even more calls.  They are aware that nobody by the name they ask for is at my phone number.  
Kessler and Freedman is the DEFENDANT in  more than one civil law suit and is the subject of a myriad of online harassment complaints.

So I have been dealing with these same people, asking for a "verification of the debt" as well as other detailed info on the account in question. I have been requesting this info since December and have not recieved it. I see that people have filed a suit against Kessler & Freedman withing federal courts. I want to know how to do that as well. What type of attorney should I contact...I am so tired of dealing with their BS and getting hung up on by James Arcadia just because he doesnt like what he hears from me.

So, I got a call from Mr. Mike Callahan back in November or so, stating I was being investigated for a fraud claim. WTH??? I called them back. Come to find out, they must have had my whole credit history report or something because the chick wa rambling off employers and everything. I knew I owed money for a prepaid credit card, but they were saying I now owed $6000 for a $500 prepaid card. Because I'm trying to clean my credit, I went ahead and made arrangements to pay this off. They said the client, Capital One, would settle for $2100. I let them debit a prepaid credit card for 3 months, then I paid a lumps sum of almost $1100. Now they keep calling, saying I still owe them. I've called and told them to stop calling or I'd file a harrassment suit. I dealt with Mike Callahan, but once the account was paid, he was mysteriously no longer an employee???? Now, these fools keep calling. I'm so upset and outraged now to be reading that this companys is bogus???? I want all my money back, and I'm going to call my credit card company have the charges reversed. I'm also going to contact an attorney and see how serious this is.

I Receive calls every day several times from 2 collection agencies.hayt,hayt &landau.kessler&friedman.hayt,hayt&landau have sent false garnishment papers to my employer.they even sent a policeman with judgment papers.everything looks fake.what can i do?.How can they legally do this and cause people so much anxiety.I am constantly on edge.

I recieved a call from a Lawrence Bell who says that he was with the Law office of Kessler & Freeman and that a  CIVIL SUIT has been filed against me, He left a case # , but, failed to leave a call back number. But, stated that I needed to call him back today. That's is such bull! He also said that he would like to get the charges dropped by contacting the County Clerks office.

I've received several messages on my answering machine. Advising me to contact the offices of Kessler and Friedman in reguards to social security number blah.blah.blah. (They only say the last four digits)because they are in the process of filing a claim with my county court. Which I know for fact they would not be able to do. Especially since they have not provided me with my Verification of Debt. And if they did their research would know it wouldn't even be worth their time and money. They are knowing breaking FDCPA law § 807. False or misleading representations. (5) The threat to take any action that cannot legally be taken or that is not intended to be taken. they called my employer asked for my direct supervisor by name, then asked if I was there, when told yes, they asked to speak to me directly. I asked what this was in regards to and they told me it was a bill I owed from 2006 and was in the amount of 900$ ?? I aske who I was speaking with and he said 'jackson". He then informed me that I could pay a reduced amount if payed by debit or check over the phone. He asked "me" what I thought a good reduced amount would be??? I told him this didn't make sense, and he said if I didn't pay something today, 10/17/2008 I would be taken to court. He said I hadn't responded to letters and they couldn't contact me?? for 2yrs?? now all of a sudden they can reach me at work?? I have been with the same company for 15yrs. And they couldn't contact me...sure didn't have a problem contacting me today!! Even knew my supervisors name... a little odd for a 2yr old debt..don't you think?  Is this fraud or what? Ok, so are they a collections agency or what?  I've been getting calls for months now from a Mike Calahan (716)362-0070  who says he's from the Law Offices of Kessler and freedman and that the matter is urgent and to call him back immediately.  When he calls my home and a family member of mine answers he leaves a message saying something about (?)18,FRAUD - i even have a CASE# and that if i don't call back immediately they will be handing my case over to a court officer in my county.  So, obviously they have not done what they keep threatening to do cause they are still calling my home at all hours, more than a few times a week, leaving messages on machine and more detailed ones when someone answers.  They've never said i need to pay off a debt that's owed. Is this legal?  Can they legally keep calling, saying i've committed Fraud, and threatening to hand my CASE over to my County Court Officer and charges would be filed???

I receive calls from Ms. Washington almost every other day at work. She states that this account is going to be forwarded to a new department since I have not called her back, I have a new case # and blah..blah..blah. I tried to call back and get a fax # to send her a cease and desist letter but everytime I call I cant get past the receptionist/ phone picker upper. Can someone help if they have the fax # . This is very embarrasing to call my work like that and pertend you are from an attorneys office. Geez PLEASE HELP!!!
