I received numerous calls from this number.  Most of the calls hung up after (1 or 2 rings).  If I was able to answer the phone in time, they just hung up on me.  I called the number back and it was Macy's customer service letting me know I missed  the previous month's payment.  When I told them I was aware of this and that I had scheduled a payment, the began harrassing me trying to get me to pay immediately and threatening additional fees and interest.  I told them it was within their right to impose fees and interest but that I wasn't going to pay until the due date.  The became so rude (jerks) that I hung up.  My payment was received by Macy's before the due date but when I got me next bill, the had charged me interest anyway.  I called the customer service number on the billing statement.  I got an automated phone application that allowed me to question my invoice.  Without even speaking with someone or answering any other questions, the automated service said something like "if you are calling concerning your $3.42 interest charge on your last statement, we have credited you account."  Thought the charged was removed I can't help but think about the other people who get the harrassing calls and pay early or who just pay the interest charge without questioning it..  I'll continue using my Macy's credit card because of the added discount but now I know their sleezy tactics to pad their pockets.

Received an email from "Macy's" thanking me for contacting them.  This number was listed.  I have not contacted Macy's nor to I own a Macy's credit card.  Very suspicious.

This is the number on the back of my macy's card, but when I called it, it send me a text message, asking for me to Press Y to join the service regarding the number I called. It's some $9.99/month service that has nothing to do with Macy's. How is Macy's customer service line now a scam? If you have an old macy's card, see if you can get a new one and find the new cust service number, don't call this number.
