i just got a call from this number well leaving a treating message for me call back at this 1 866 number well i did call back and has automated voice on.who is this and what do they want. is this a scam

Glad to see this. This "Lisa Mckay" just called my parents threatening me. Being an adult, that is pretty lame IMO.

i got the same thing just now i was a little nervous earlier but now i am relived. its a total scam!

I just got a call from this person named David Brown also stating that the company named "Washington Recovery" is serving me with a summons and to call this number 866-594-0585. When I tried to call it, it was disconnected. I have no idea who this company is. Total scam.

I got the same thing at six this morning. David Brown called me from an unknown number, and having been called with this same scam before, I just hung up on him. He called back and I sent him to voicemail and he left a threatening faux-legal message telling me to call 866-594-0585 to keep the summons from happening, and that if I didn't I WILL lose my case and may go to jail, and that he'll be at my house in an hour to serve the summons. Waiting to see if he shows up.

I got a call from a person identifying himself as David Brown, a process server, claiming he had a summons for me that he would deliver in 30 minutes--he refused to give any info about it, just told me to call this 800 number.  They identified themselves as Washington Recovery and connected me to Lisa McKay in their "Legal Outsourcing Dept." She told me this was about an outstanding debt from Check n Go, a payday loan company.  Since I'd never taken out any payday loans, I knew this was a scam & hung up.  They called back immediately from a different # 866-594-5744.  I told them I knew this was a scam & hung up.  They called back again in a few minutes and this time I told them I had called the police who were on their way to meet the process server when he arrived.  I looked this scam up on the web and apparently, it is a common telephone scam in which sometimes they actually do come to your home and try to intimidate you into paying. I got no further calls, but believe me, I WILL call the police if they do try to come in person to my home.
