Verizon also refuse to remove the unauthorized monthly charge by 866-7216, time to switch to AT&T.  I DON'T NEED ANY UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON MY BILL.  GIVE ME SERVICE I AUTHORIZED OR SWITCH PROVIDER.

I can't believe this is going on.  My husband has been charged for two months with a $9.99 charge for Premium TXT Messaging on Verizon.  When I spoke with the Verizon rep he told me that the messages were from SMSgamerinfo - My husband is 64 years old and does not even play games.  He said he received a text message about something & since he didn't know the people he just deleted it - now he keeps getting more & more messages.  Verizon said to just text STOP to Txt Code 97000 - but now we are out $20 and we can't get reimbursed. This is wrong and Verizon should stop this practice. I have to give a secret code just to access my account or to get help - why should a 3rd party be able to charge my account.  And everyone thinks AIG is greedy. Wow, look around at this stuff going on. Verizon!!!! Where is your customer service??????????????

Same situation here.  Charged two premium text fees for this service that I never subscribed to.  Verizon won't issue a refund, said it has to come from SMSGamer themselves. For that, they ask for a bunch of personal information and say it will take "a minimum of four weeks" to research and process, "if you are eligible for a refund & have not used the service at all."  The rep at SMSGamer called me a liar.  Something really shady is going on -- they state they have no record of me even subscribing but have twice charged my bill.  And the phone # on my Verizon bill for SMSGamer didn't work -- I had to Google them to find the number.  Shady, shady, shady.  I'm researching their "real" location now.  If this is state-to-state fraudulent charges (for cramming), it is a federal issue.  Off to look at my possibilities.  Unscrupulous people should know that karma will come back and bite them for taking advantage of people this way.

I have lost money on this scam and I'm sure you have too. If you want something done about this please go to the FCC here:

https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do?form_page=1088G

Complete the form. I was told by FCC customer service that the more who "officially" reported this to the correct authorities (FCC) the more likely it would be able to build a case and fine the offending company (and hopefully crimincally prosecute the crooks).

There is a scam happening and it involves cell phone companies.
I was billed $9.99 on my Verizon Wireless phone bill for ?Premium TXT Messaging?. I called Verizon a number of times. Verizon informed me that this was a ?third party billing?. I told Verizon that I had not subscribed to anything like this and wanted it off of my bill. Verizon has not been too co-operative in this situation. One Verizon rep did put a block and helped me to unsubscribe from this scam. The rep gave me two phone numbers- 866-606-7216 and 866-854-8026. One number had a recording that the ?mail box is full? and the other number had an out- going message and put me on hold ?forever? until I hung up. The Verizon rep also gave me a web-site ? www.smsgamerinfo.com- which I went to and there was a list of different links. About four of those links were complaints about this same company?s ?smsgamerinfo.- scam and different cell phone providers. One complaint dated back to October 2008 and Verizon complaints dated back to January 2009.
I called Verizon and asked to speak with a manager. An ?empty suit, policy and procedure? manager named Jenae called me back. I again explained the scam and asked Jenae, that since complaints were coming in to Verizon since as early as January 2009, why didn?t Verizon realize that this was a problem and that Verizon was a partner in this scam and why didn?t Verizon do something about this scam. Jenae assured me that Verizon was not making any money off of this (ha) and that these ?third parties? can get your phone number that you input on the internet or they can text you and if you open the text message then you will get charged and Verizon-in the goodness of their heart-will collect-free of charge, no questions asked (ha)-  this charge for the ?third party?. I reminded Jenae that my contract was with Verizon, and only Verizon, and Verizon should let these ?third parties? bill me directly.  Jenae acted like this was legitimate, normal business as usual; however, she would credit my account and it would show up on my next month bill. I told this icon of good business and customer appreciation, that, since Verizon associated themselves with scammers and participated in questionable business practices, my trust level in Verizon had dropped to below 0; therefore, I would deduct the $9.99 from this month?s bill and Verizon could deal with their ?third party? business partner. Jenae then put on her ?extortionist? hat and informed me that there would be a $5.00 late fee if Verizon did not receive the full amount of the bill this month.  Can anyone guess what I told this ?college indoctrinated but uneducated? person to do with that late fee?
Pure and simple this is a scam and identify theft; and the cell phone providers are involved in this scam.

Got a text message: "smsGamerInfo 866 606 7216 19.99 mthly HELP 4help STOP 2end other chrgs may apply." Short text number = 97000.  This company bills your cellphone for $19.99 a month for sending you "daily game cheats".  I did not sign up for this.  Called AT&T customer service.  They had me text STOP back to them, instead of AT&T stopping the charges.  I got an immediate credit for the $19.99 charge.  I asked what they are doing to stop this company from issuing fraudulent charges - rep had no knowledge. She suggested that I block subscription services (which includes ringtones - fine by me) so I did.  Rep was helpful in getting this improper charge removed.  Watch your text messages & contact your carrier immediately if you get "crammed" like this.  Read FCC info at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/cramming.html.
