757-14 is a ringtone company called ringaza. you must have did the IQ test. I have never gotten a call but i get annoying text messages about hollywood and stuff. if you get a text reply back or send a text to 757-14. All you say in the text message is STOP. then they will send u a text saying they wont send u texts anymore.. its a total scam.

This is so wrong in so many ways.  It's something you can't even be aware of until it happens to you!  Two of our 5 lines incurred charges for services never requested -- NOR RECEIVED!!!  We don't even know what it was -- but Verizon paid them --  Verizon wants the money from me!!!

I hope all phone companies are aware and do not pay any company like this again!

I am furious because there is nothing that I can do!  The phone number tells you to send e-mail (probably so they add you to a junk mail/spam list and sell your info) and press # for more help which disconnects you immediately.  The website is "coming soon."

Verizon wants their money.  Can't blame them, but...  They have lawyers and should go after these horrible people.

HELP!  I hope someone is better at this and can resolve the issue!

got these text messages about a year now and i was so annoyed by it, didn't know who they were, i know i never subscribed to their services either, the text comes in with "75714" and uses the name RingAza.  I googled that name and found their site, I have no idea what they are about.  I immediately contacted my carrier Tmobile, and to my surprise they heard of the company.  I called them because of what people said from above that you can get charged for service without even knowing!!!  Tmobile is familiar with this and guess what?!!!  They ran my bill for the past year and saw that I was charged 9.99 four times!!!  They took off 40 dollars for my next bill and "Blocked" these people from sending me texts ever again.  I really suggest people to do the same if they get these text msgs.

"Just txt stop to this number or the 757-14 and they will unsubscribe you. i just got rid of the problem."

Well, good luck with that.  I too got rooked by the Facebook IQ test thing that used one of my friend's names to make it look like he requested that I take the test to compare scores, and ended up "subscribed" with no notification of having done so.  I texted "STOP" to 757-14 and was sent a msg saying I was unsubscribed.  But, I have received text messages from them daily despite being told I was unsubscribed.  I have texted them again, again told I was unsubscribed, and received msg the next day.  I went to the web-site to unsubscribe and when I entered my number was told I was not a subscriber, but rec'd another msg the next day.  So, I can't unsubscribed because I am not a subscriber, but I can't get rid of them.

I am calling Verizon tomorrow and will have them block premium texting as it is something I care nothing about.

I will also file complaints with every regulating agency I can think of.  There is a special place in hell for these scumbags.  I have NO tolerance for the slime who profit from flat out thievery, trickery and victimization of unsuspecting honest consumers.  Scott Richter is the man behind it all, and I can't even begin to imagine what kind of morally bankrupt excuse for a human you would have to be to live this way.  Disgusting.

Same old story. I wasn't sure where it originated, but from what I'm reading on this board it might have started with the IQ test on Facebook (I guess anyone who takes it - me included - isn't all that smart).

2 consecutive charges not knowing what it was.  Verizon said they couldn't take it off that I would have to contact company.  The 1-866 number didn't work and wondering if this $9.99 charge will continue.  WTF!!!

I recieved these charges on my bill, I never subscribed and when I went to cancel the subscription- I was unable to talk to any customer service rep to have it explained to me how they got my information.  I work 10 hour shifts and everyone of the "subscriptions" occured during my work day when I do not use my phone.  These people need to be prosecuted and phone companies need to take responsibility for these scam artists.

I was also billed $9.99 and on my bill it shows the charge is from the phone number 866-616-6076 which is associated with Ringaza. I contacted T-Mobile and they are 1) placing a text block (these type messages) on my phone and 2) are going to contact Ringaza for a refund.  I also called this bozos and spoke with a rep. and had them cancel any account they had on file for my phone. I also asked for a refund as they did not provide me any service for the $9.99 they charged me and I would contact the BBB if they did not. The rep. stated he would refund the $9.99, we'll see....

These premius text messages (9.99 each) on my son's phone, too!  twice now........not sure how they got his number, need to know how these charges can be reversed.  what can be done?  there were 571 complaints on another site!!!!!!  some charges were 19.99 for other's phones.  this is a HUGE scam and Verizon won't do anything about it!  how can it be on my bill through Verizon if it's coming from a 3rd party?????  I think Verizon is the scammer!!!!!!!  They're making all the money.  If they don't reverse the charges, I'm through with Verizon!  back to pony & cart days with the phone on the wall at home.  Who can afford such rotten service?  Not I!

Verizon is now trying to address this issue as it apparently has happened quite a bit and the company, which apparently goes by several names, opera ringtones and a few others, is being reported to the bbb. Would be a good idea if anyone that has had this happen to them to report it also.

Scammed is more like it. This so called company advertises FREE ringtones and wallpaper for cell phones on MTV, but there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen that basically tells you that if you receive a FREE ringtone or pickup line you are automatically registered for their service with a montly fee of $9.99. I called the 866-616-6076 number during the early morning, between 8a & 9a and got through to an Service Rep. I told them to cancel the service and had to give them my daughter's cell phone number. Lesson Learned.

If you follow the links through ringaza.com to ringtonesutopia.com you'll finally get to the underlying scumbags that are behind this whole mess, an Italian base outfit: dada.net . I aptly sent a web-based email to the co-founder and chairman of dada.net:

To Paolo Barberis : I am pursuing measures to expose the Italian scam job you think you're pulling through your ringtonesutopia.com site.

I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears, so please help in getting this escalated.
