Well having them under investigation obviously didn't help.  Like the other 2 numbers you mentioned this, they still call.  It's been almost 2 years since your post about the numbers from American Heart Association.  They have called here 12/22, 12/17,  and 12/12.  They rotate between the numbers to call every day.  I have about 3 more numbers from them.

The number called.  Said "Hello".  Nothing on the line.  Then they hung up.

I rec'd a couple of calls from other numbers which turned out to be American Heart Association.   I called 888-355-7209 and asked politely if they would remove my number from all of their call lists.  They were very nice.  This is a simple way to eliminate these calls.  There is no need to be rude to a group that is trying to do good things.

OMG!  What does it take to get the Am. Heart Association to go away! In the past two weeks, I have blocked no less than 5 numbers reportedly belonging to them.  I've also asked them not to call.  And oh by the way, the AHA will NEVER get a dime from me!  Harrassing, annoying, nearly-criminal in the their telephone begging practices!!!

Another call from the American Heart Association. I will never ever donate to them again. Probably most of the money people give to these jokers goes to the clowns doing this fund raising.

Every morning at 8:00 I get a call from 866-619-5010.  No one appears to be on the phone.  Posts on the internet indicaqte it is from the American Heart Association.  Why does a legitimate organization like that annoy those who may be their supporters?  Is there some way to stop these calls?

Very annoying repeated calls from several of their numbers. Too bad we have to put up with low life people like this in society. However, I thank God for sites like this to keep us informed and maybe one step ahead of the creeps out there.

Something to keep in mind about all these continuing bothersome calls from telescum for surveys, so called charities and charity pickups despite asking them to remove you from their list:

Call centers have sprung up in my town that make use of the survey and the charity loophole around the do not call list; they have been a headache for law enforcement, emergency services, neighboring businesses and residential areas.  When I ask any patrolling officer in town about these call centers, they are quick to state their frustrations about the criminal activity that some of these call centers have brought into the area. Several law enforcement agencies regularly visit some of these call centers looking for warrant arrests etc.  I have heard sources including from frustrated employees that work for these call centers complaining about the drug activity, vandalism of cars and neighboring businesses, break-ins and theft, drinking while on the job, smoke breaks are actually marijuana breaks, drunk driving, very dangerous driving, tons of tossed out litter of empty liquor containers, trash, food etc.  Heard that the mangers are also involved in criminal activities and have even preyed on their legitimate employees who are simply trying to eek out a living on horrible wages.  Also the operators are untrained in a very high turn around, poorly managed and dysfunctional work environment.

Also realize this when you call a companies? customer service line and get horrible service from the call center that?s been hired by the company.  One time while on a call with our bank?s customer service, the operator was so loopy that it required ending the call and calling again to try and get someone else to help, think about that when you call a companies? customer service and the conversation gets odd, off the wall and obtuse ? you may be talking to an operator that?s drunk or on something.  After 6 months of getting a different and wrong answer to our ongoing problem each time we called our bank?s call center, we gave up and closed the account.

With so little police left in our town due to cutbacks, they can?t always respond to vandalism and break-ins when it?s witnessed as they have their plate full responding to the major emergencies, this allows the criminal activity free reign, the neighborhood becomes the hood.  Some insurance companies require proof of private security patrols before they will honor a claim due to vandalism or theft leaving the neighboring businesses off guard and uncovered.  These businesses also have the added cost to hire private security, install security systems/monitoring, upgrade lighting etc.  Then there are the dangers and headaches to the nearby businesses employees such as their cars being vandalized or broken into.  Some businesses simply give in, pickup and move out of town.

One of my neighbors owns a call center and he requires that his operators are bonded, but I guess there?s no laws requiring this ? there should be.  Right now in my town it seems like anybody can start up a call center and hire questionable labor for cheap without much regulation.

I my efforts the past several years to try and get something done, I am most struck by the fact that there?s no real help, everyone is more worried about being sued than dealing with the obvious problem - you are on your own....

Have been getting calls from this (& several other) toll-free numbers. I don't answer & they don't leave a message. Found on here that they're calling about the American Heart Assn.'s Good Neighbor collections. Looked at AHA's website and found their number, 1-800-242-8721. Call and tell them you want your number removed from their database. Lady said they've received lots of complaints about the third-party service that's doing their calls -- calling repeatedly, all hours -- and it's under investigation. FYI -- she asked for my name, zip, phone number & found my listing in their database (she read my address back to me). Then she asked for my email address, but I didn't see any reason to give that. Supposedly, I won't be getting their calls.

As stated in other posts, this is the American Heart Asscoiation. They have been calling me for weeks now, sometimes twice a day. In researching the American Heart Association I read that their  Executive Director was paid $554,537 for their fiscal year ending on 06/2010, and the entire organization spent over $142,000,000, in that same fiscal year, on fundraising and administrative costs; ridiculous amounts, and they still continue to beg for more with their harassing "non-profit" telemarketing.

They've called 17 times during the month of December, 2011. I haven't picked up once. No message left. Next time they call, I bring out the big guns. The newest cd by Eminem, played at level 10 by my stereo receiver and Pioneer speakers. Then I walk away and see how long they stay on the line. If the poor rapping dialogue doesn't get them, then the level ten volume should do the job.

I have received calls from this number (866-619-5010).  I certainly hope that the AHA would realize that this practice is counter-productive and damaging to getting donations from folks.  This company would probably keep most of the donations themselves, anyway.  This should be illegal.  I would label them as a telemarketer and not a non-profit org.

Right on, MMM!  And that's the big problem with supposedly "legitimate" charities, is that there is no way to know for sure if they are legtimate or not.  Even if they were, how could you know where your donation was going?  And with so much spoofing going on these days, that makes it impossible to know where the unsolicited call is originating. Why don't these wretched scammers and chronic callers just hit up the Wall Street gangsters and beg for a few billion in extorted "bailout" funds?

It's hard to block a number that constantly changes, it's gotten so bad that I have come home to as many as 16 messages on my answering machine, all hangups or dead air except one or two legit calls from family or friends.  These numbers, as I'm finding out, are from The Heart Association, Breast Cancer Awareness, Police and Fireman's Fund and one collection agency that has been calling for 6 YEARS, looking for a "Henry Taylor". I have told them they are calling the wrong number and they still call and call.  What good is a DO NOT CALL list when we're still subjected to this form of invasion and harassment?

Received calls from this number 866-619-5010, as well as  888-355-7209 almost daily.   It is very upsetting to us when it is hard to get to the phone and when you do no one on the line answers, but just hold on the line.    Sure wish something could be done to stop this!

We participated in the Neighbor Campaign a few years ago (mailed out the letters to our neighbors), and for the past few years I have requested the AHA to please call one of the other neighbors.  NOW, when they call here (about 5 times in the past 5 days) they ask to speak to my husband.  When I say he is not available, they will not leave a message, but say they will call back.  This morning I asked who was calling, the lady gave her first name, working for some organization on behalf of the AHA.  Please know that when I request not to do your soliciation work, that goes for my husband, too.  Next call I will explain that to you.
