The caller stated he was representing the Democractic Sentatorial Committee.

Calls from this number are close to harrassment.  No message is left and if one answers, they often hang up.  They call for days on end using multiple 866 numbers and similar behavior.

I cannot believe we pay for phone service and get harrassed in this manner.

These people call several times a day and when you answer the phone they say nothing;  strange background music.  *69 also reveals this 866-640-2797 number.  We are strong Democratic supporters, but would never contribute to any organization which engages in this type of obnoxious harassment.  We are fed up.  We are on the no call list but they do not respect this.

Despite many attempts to get these morons to quit calling, we still get anywhere from 2-10 calls per day - never anyone on the other end of the line.  Coming from Outreach Associates, which is charging their "clients" for these robo-calls.  Call the Democratic National Committee, Habitat for Humanity and other organizations they claim to represent on their website - let them know they are being ripped off by Outreach Associates.  The charities, political entities are gaining nothing; Outreach Associates is making a killing.

The guy called from this number, he asked me if I wanted to give money and that's it. 1-866-640-2797 doesn't harass anybody. They are even limited in the number of calls they can make to an individual. If you really want to find out if that's true, its all available in the public record. So please stop lying about this number.

By the way, there is no way the Republican contributers on this site (you know who you are - "This number calls me all day....blah...blah...blah) are going to win elections by wasting time badmouthing some phone number.

I get a call from 1-866-640-2797 maybe two to three times a day, it's not ten, but still a little annoying and I am a democrat. Perhaps it is not necessary to sue them, but they could try limiting it to once a week or once a month is even better. People are a lot less likely to give an organization money if they are suffocated by constant phone calls, and the fact that there is no one on the other end is creepy. No it is not the ACLU! Try writing in the Secretary of State in PA, they have a file on them.

Calls from this number border on harassment.

We get numerous calls a day on a daily basis from this number.  We don't pick up and they leave no message.  Annoying.

Call from 866-640-2797 (Outreach Associates) at 1:48 EDT with the strangest message....  Caller must have thought he'd hung up...  "What an a**wipe, that must have blown him out of the water," and then "I don't like t-shirts," and some other blather.  I didn't listen to the rest of the message.

Wonder of wonders (not), there was actually a message left on the answering machine: click-click, mumble, mumble, Zack, mumble...

Received several hang-up calls at home in the past 2 weeks from the "Direct Advantage Marketing" (www.dam.com).

I'm a liberal and Democratic Socialist and donate annually to many of public interest groups that DAM works for.   I don't mind taking their fundraising calls... but that many hang-ups is not cool.   Clearly either DAM or some of it's callers are not behaving.

My phone system says calls i've received from these numbers are related to DAM.
