My mom got a phone call from this number asking for me by my middle name. I never even gave out my mom's number to any one. I don't have any outstanding bills. I keep up to date on my bills. This is fake!

I just got this call for my husband. Was suspicious and called them. With each transferred call I got a british automated spokesperson. Finally got to what I think must be India. Question: if I have a delinquent account here in the states, it would not be handled in this manner and "shipped" over to India or Britain, or any such place. I DO have some slow accounts so I was concerned. Glad I google the 1-866 number! This sets my mind at ease, as this was a total rip-off place! Warn those that will listen!

I get a call from this number probably once a day, asking for someone that isn't me or anyone I know. Riddle and Associates is who they say they are.

I got a voicemail from this phone number and I called back and told to a very young lady with gentle voice who right away asked me to verify with her my social security number and my birth day. I asked her to tell me who she is and the name of the company that she is working for. I have tried be nice to her in order to get her information first but she could not and I told her that you are going to get anything from me. I dont believe oweing anybody money you may need to be careful....

Called, then couldn't find my name in their database. Idiots. Always answer these types of calls, they have to pay if call is completed. Keep them talking as long as possible with fake info so they have to pay more.

Got a phone call -- voicemail left on the answering machine -- asking for Diane Shuson -- said that if I didn't hang up, I was acknowledging that I was Diane Sushon -- ironic that you cannot hang up on a voicemail. I've been receiving calls like this since moving into a new apartment and getting a new telephone number. I believe this is a phishing scam. Do not provide any information. I am reporting them to the Maryland Attorney General's office.

got a call from this number, said they are from Mitchel and Mckay. the name they asked for is my first name-Andrea, but my sister's married name...wonder how they came up with that combination.

My husband and I received a call today from these people. They left a message about an outstanding debt in my husband's name. We have zero debt, so I was very suspicious and looked online. I will report them on donotcall.gov now.
| grliigrl 2011-06-06 21:02:45 Unknown |
Automated voice left a message to call about a debt payment...said to call this number back and use a reference number. I have no idea who these people are or what debt they could be referring to. It's really funny that they are calling at tax time....some people do get sucked in and will play their game!!
| Lara Sears 2011-06-06 21:02:45 Unknown |
The messages are for a Bruce Wyndam. Bruce Wyndam is not me and does not have my phone number. Stop calling please!

I just got a call from this same number to my cell phone... didn't answer it.. they left no message. I have been getting a debt collection message on my home phone .. automated using my first initial and last name ... I never call them back.. because If I was late on anything I would be notified by mail or it would be a vendor that I am familiar with. Thank you for the notification.

1866-655-5826 just called. the call came through asking for my EX boyfriend from 9.5 years ago. I am married to a different person now for 7.5 years and my husband has has his number for 25 years. this call struck me as odd. I listened to the british accent to get the number. I called them and said they needed to take my number off their list and the lady said I have your number and I'll take it off now... Really asking for someone that's been out of my life for almost a decade!!!

The number is now being robo called for William W. Segal and Associates, a NY "law firm" that is really a debt collection agency. From a web search on them, they get a lot of complaints for abusive calling practices. Apparently someone named Ana Ranglo (?) listed my cell number on their credit application and they are attempting to collect her debt. I did not return the call. I will simply block them through my cell phone account tools.

A message was left on our land line answering machine from someone saying they represent William W Siegel and Associates. The caller wanted to speak with my husband about a debt. I returned the call because my husband is not available. The caller was vague and refused to confirm the date of birth or address of the person they seek. I called on my cell phone, not the house number. The delay in the conversation causes me concerns they now have my cell number and are further adding to their personal info for some reason. There is no outstanding debt, so I recognize this as a scam.

We got a call this morning at our home from this company. They left a message on our answer machine for the person that we actually purchased our home from 5 years ago. Until 3 months ago, we never bothered to get a house phone hooked up because we had our cell phones. So, the phone number that we have now has never been associated with the previous home owner that they are trying to collect a debt from. How the hell did they get my number?? It's bad enough when you get collection calls for someone that did infact once have your phone number, but to recieve them for someone you purchased your home from years ago!!! That's rediculous. I mean, if they can do a search to find a number associated to the persons last known address, why can't they search for that person current number?! Or contact their family members, even.. I am beyond annoyed.By the way, the # 866-655-5826 is for a debt collection agency named William W. Segal and Associates.

It is very important to write a letter to the Better Business Bureau reporting their practice....those people even are not professionals, they just have ways how to intimidate people when trying to collect a debt. They may be are bying debt by a dollar from any one, and sometimes those debt are no real, mean people already paid for it.But they still in the system as currently debt..I had an experience with a debt collectors I paid a debt of 500.00, and after 2 years another agency did try to collect the money..I sent them a letter, and they continue calling to my work, and at my phone number..I finally sent them the proof of my detb was paid. After a year again another agency from Bufallo NY tried c\to collect the money again...I wrote a letter to them, and they did no stop calling me, and harrasming me..the guys who are on phone mostly all the time, sounds with a VERY heavy accent..mean are not from here, I can tell you...and the end of the story was: I wrote a lleter to the BBB, and sent a copy to the 2 agencies who attempt to collect money, and the BBB responded me after 2 weeks, that the agency did cancell the account..but they were NASTY leaving messages, and telling me, that I will have probles with my driver license, my SS, with the police , etc..THEY ARE NASTY, and many times those agencies are connected to each other..I have read that NY is one of the places where people doing frauds live in...MY SUGGESTION IS, NO TO ANSWER THEM, OR WRITE A LETTER TO THE BBB

Automated phone message with some "problems": it ran around 5 minutes, resetting
itself at least 25 times. "If you are <name>, don't listen to this message"!

Automated voice left a message to call about a debt payment. Left an 866 number and a "reference" number. We have no outstanding debts.

Just got the same message at my business, for an Allan (or Ellen) Bonsol about a debt. Nobody by that name is here, nor do I owe any money. Glad I found these comments before calling back. Looks like a phone phishing attempt to get personal info - don't fall for it.
