Why would telemarketers not say anything?

This number is a call from NARAL Pro-Choice America

Every single day at least twice.  I was answering until I realized it was the same number every day.  Nobody says anything and now I just let it ring.  The ones I don't like are the ID restricted calls.  Have any of you read Nature Girl by Carl Hiaasen?  I think we all need to find these people and take them out into the Florida swamps with leaky rafts.

They have been calling my land line every day this week once or twice. I have caller id so I never pick up. I am on the do not call list so I think I will report the number.

Call on my cell almost every day, often while I'm at work. Today (Saturday) they called around 5:00 p.m. I never answer since I don't know who the caller is and I rarely give out my cell phone number to anyone except friends and family. Whoever it is never leaves a message. It's gone past annoying and moved into creepy.

Nothing on the other end if answered.  Now I just let it ring.  Does not seem to ring enough times to roll to voice mail.

My comments are the same as those above.  I am on the "do not call" list, but this source calls regularly.

I too receive calls from this number on a daily basis. I can confirm the comments made by Zulma above, that after calling the number, I hear a recording stating that it is Harris Direct Marketing, calling on behalf of a non profit organization. I left my number and asked to be put on the Do Not Call list. This is the one thing that I dislike about contributing money to outside organizations. Doing so triggers a non stop assault of follow up calls asking for more.

Called daily. Never left message. When I finally answered they were asking for Planned Parenthood donations.  This company does follow up fund raising to lists of anyone who has ever donated to any organization in the past!  They are relentless, and don't know a THING about the companies they represent (this woman knew very, very little about planned parenthood).

We get a call from this phone number (1.866.685.4646) several times every week. Now we recognize the number and do not answer and they leave no message. I called the number back and their recording says that they are calling on behalf of an organization that basically has paid them to contact people to raise funds and to leave your phone number if you wish to be placed on their Do Not Call list. I did that so we'll see if they respect my wish to not receive phone calls. Also, the recording says they are Harris Direct Marketing and a google search gave me this result: http://www.harrismarketing.com/
It's a company based out of California. We are sick and tired of the almost-daily interruptions from this phone number.
