Got it just now and I was playing the computer game so I did not have any time to answer the phone.  After finishing my game, I search the internet on google, I think I am lucky.  If I answered the phone, I worry about that I would tell them my bank.  Now I just want to ask a question: Has anybody called the police?

This number has been calling me every few days since October. They never leave a message so I don't know what they want, and I can't answer the call due to a faulty phone. I'm afraid this will turn out like a different spam number that called me three times a day every single day for 4 months, desperate to get hold of me for totally unknown reasons. >_<

Telemarketer
I never pick up calls that smell of a telemarketer. However,  my daughter picked up the phone and she handed off to me.
When I politely told the man I was not interested, he started spewing off obscenities.

Don`t be such a foolish moron...the cops will do NOTHING, the government allows the companies to harrass us....why else would they have our phone numbers (especially cell phone numbers), why wouldn`t the government implement a "call me" system, if your name is not on the list, it is illegal to call you attempting to gain information or soliciting services...the government would NEVER do that....bet your life on it...instead they make a "do not call" list that you have to jump through hoops to get on, but is invalid if a person hears you discuss anything..even in a passing comment to a friend, that interests them enough to call you to harrass you....no matter where you utter the words...idiots...band together and hunt down the criminals who call and harrass and threaten....the only way to stop it..other than that...you got nothing to stop them.

I answered this call once and told the guy I did not want to answer any questions and told him not to call again.  He asked me if I am over 18 and I said "none of your business" he then said he would call again because I would not answer.  I then said "I am over 18, don't call again."  I am still getting these calls.  Now I don't bother answering the call.  I don't usually answer the phone if I don't recognize the number.  My number is unlisted and registered with the do not call list, so I don't know how these people have my number.  Oh well they can call all they want, I won't answer.  Glad I found this information.

oh yes they can scam you ..for one they have your phone number ..your name is in the phone book attached to this number which they can find an address for this phone number and the first question is "what bank do you deal with"! so all in all in the first 30 secs they have your name/number/address/bank !!  It was fishy to me so i did not give out the bank i deal with, if it was real they would know what bank ? be leary people!

Bank survey - Even if it was legit (I still think it's some sort of phishing thing) why should I waste my time so that dirtbags can sell my data to other unscrupulous telemarketers?

I absolutely love how stupid people automatically assume it's a scam, before they even speak to who they think is the scammer on the the other line, how do u know it's a scam it could have been bill gates that randomly chose your number to give a million dollars too, if you didn't actually speak to someone from this number you wouldn't know the difference, trying doing some research first before throwing around false accusations. I just hope you understand the point i'm trying to make on how stupid your comment actually really sounds, "yea this number called me they didn't say anything so I don't know what they were actually calling me for it must be a scammer", lol your ridicules & paranoid  :)

haha reported for what gathering information within the Canadian banking system with the goal of enhancing customer relations, there is no proof within your statement that they are scammers, the reason why they are not on any Canadian do not call list is because they are not solicitors they do not try and sell you anything and they do not ask for money it is just purely opinion based customer satisfaction surveys only which are 100% confidential, so if you call the police and report them, the police may very well arrest you for just being really stupid :)

the survey ended because they needed to present to you the proper questions and you not telling them which bank you use means they don't know which question to actually give too you thats why the survey ended you t**t not because they were trying to scam your money who cares who knows what banks you use not like anybody can do anything with that one peice of information anyways and there is absolutely no questions within these studies that could allow someone the information to access your accounts anyways, these are honest people from an actual corporate company, not some scammers in a f****n basement so stop being such a paranoid do***e bag and then next time these people call just say "no thank you add me to the no call list please" and they will do it and not bug you again if your nice to then then they will be nice too you, life long rule right there

Your wrong Kevin it's not bank of Nova Scotia who funds the survey it's bank of Montreal, and giving them useless information does not affect their business in a negative way in any shape way or form. so doing so doesn't make you an a***ole it makes you very stupid to waste your time for thinking you have the upper hand when in reality you don't
hope this has enlightened you, have a great day :)

Didn't answer a call at 8pm from this #.
Don't usually bother to answer 800s or 888s or 866 etc.
Also on the "do not call list"!
Look how many YEARS these complaints have been going
on for just this number!

She asked if I do any banking and which bank I use. She said they are not trying to sell anything but just doing market research. All I told her was the name of the bank (the only bank in our town) and she apologized that they already have enough responses to the survey about that bank. I was ok with that.

yes they will call you back....they use several of different numbers. So when you ask to be removed from the calling list...they remove you from that number only. they still keep calling from all the other numbers. I know the phone companies sell your number. they do it to your email as well. i gave bell an email that i made only for them, and was getting between 200 and 500 emails a day within just a few months. Bell canada was the only one with that email. I hardly ever answer any calls that are 800, numbers. However it is really annoying. I have sometimes taken my phone right off the hook for the entire day, it is my phone for me to use and not for companies to use as free advertising.

That one is on behalf of BMO, but BMO likes to know how their competition is doing too so they ask you what bank you're with just in case you're not with BMO. Shady b*****ds.
