This is a scam.  I got a call from someone claiming to be UPS and they were looking for a missing packaging.  It turns out to be a scam office supply company who tries to get you to day "yes' somewhere in your phone conversationa and then they send you a case of copy paper at hundreds of $$$ more that it worth.  In this case, we suspected that it was a scam and we declined the package when it arrived.

I have been receiving calls everyday a few times a day for months now.. when i answered it.. a recording said they hav a urgent message n to call em back.. i cant stand it anymore.. after months of calls all hours of the day.. i finally called back.. they must hav a phone # check system  cuz she answer w "am i speaking w " n said my full name.. i said yes.. then she told me for what reason y they were calling.. it was a $40 n $60 bill they trying to collect on.. i told her i filed for bankruptcy in march n it has been finalized in june.. she apologize n said all calls will stop within 48 hrs.. i gave her my lawyer #.. they said they will call him instead.. i guess we will see.. huh?

This number belongs to Trans World Systems. They are a debt collection agency where the reps make money on every account they collect on, which explains the harassment. I have just called because they keep calling my number looking for someone else and supposedly, They will stop. We shall see...

Had a call and it was about a doctor bill. They said it was Transworld Services.
I followed up on the doctor bill and it was legitimate. Apparently a collection agency which works off of numerous toll numbers and mostly handles medical bills. I have resolved my acct but refused to pay these people. I went directly to the doctor office I owed and paid my amt due.

what gets me is when i answer the phone when866-706-5681 calls they hang up.

Have received a call and also from 800-291-4367 with the exact same reference number.  How many toll free numbers does this bogus company have?

i called them back one time, said "please stop calling me"   they replied that i owe money to a doctor.
and also stated the calls would stop, because they legally can't call if you you ask them to stop.

yes this #8667065681 been calling me every day from 7:00 am till noon but i gave them hell i have been calling them every day now and b***h em up and hangup in there faces , i bet you they don't like that lats all do that just like what they do to us i think that's a good idea ha :)

This company is Transworld Systems..  a debt collection company so they claim however I suspect they are a scam.  Per the law, they are required to send documented proof that they are now authorized to collect for whoever the debt is..  yet I have NEVER received anything but these harassing, obnoxious phone calls which come in 3x every day.

I have called and spoken with them, and they claim to be calling me in regards to a medical bill which I incurred during an ER visit for a severely irregular heartbeat.  

The representative for Transworld (and they are always unbelievably rude even for a debt collection dirtbag) claims I owe $688 for this bill and that I have to pay the full amount blah blah blah..

Here's the kicker...

I've been paying this bill to the medical office and per the medical office's own records, I only owe $70
which I will pay from my next paycheck.  

The last call from Transworld the jerk on the other end informs me that they're going to file for a judgment against me to get the $688 if I don't pay it in the next 14 days.  To which I say.. go ahead you miserable worm..   Because this Friday I'll be getting paid, and I'll be paying the final $70 to the doctor's office and the debt will be paid in full.

Yes, it was paid slower than the doctor's office would have liked.  Well, I'm sorry that I had a serious heart issue develop and that the doctor wouldn't let me work until the issue was under control.  No work = no pay = no pay bills right away.

However, while the original debt WAS $688 no question..  I only still owe them $70 and I've made payments every payday since I was able to return to work.  So you know what Transworld..

Go ahead.  

File your lawsuit.

I'll counter file against Transworld for fraud, as well as several violations of the FDCPA and when we get to court..

I'll have the canceled checks plus a letter (which I plan to ask for when I go make the final payment in person just to get it) stating the debt is paid in full AND that the doctor's office has requested multiple times that Transworld STOP calling me which they have refused to do.

Go ahead..   File.

It's Transworld. They collect for medical bills. They will call from different numbers every few weeks. I literally have 9 different numbers for them saved in my phone. They are VERY rude. I suggest if it's a valid bill, pay it thru the company you owe, not them!

Don't give any personal information - including your name and phone number - to these people. They are running a scam and trying to obtain financial information about you or, if you are receiving the calls at work, your employer. They also call from the number 800-291-4367. These numbers are associated with the names Credit Management Services and TransWorld Services.

Turning off your ringer for their programmed number works, but you still have to listen to their voice mail!  They were calling me from several different numbers that I found on here constantly, starting at 7 AM.  So now, when I realize it is them calling, I answer then hang up immediately.  That way I don't have to deal with them at all.  It seems to hold them off for at least a few hours.  These people are scums!

I keep recieving a call from 866-706-5681 and they have left me a message with a pass code to give when calling back. I have not yet called them back, but they are still calling my cell phone and won't leave a message now.

This number is a collections company. They have been calling me too because I filled out a BOG form to get my classes paid for and I guess it fell through so now they are trying to get me to pay the 500.00 dollar bill that I COULDNT AFFORD IN THE BEGINNING! It was the school's fault yet I get the calls. But anyway that is what the number is. If you dont pick up they call you atleast 4 times a day some phone carriers like Cingular have a "Add to Reject List" and if you do that to all 4 numbers they call you off of then they wont leave messages. BUT if you dont have that option they will leave a recording that sounds like it was cut off in the beginning saying call this number. . . Hope this was any help to you!

I have been getting these calls since January 2009.  They call me at least 4 times a day.  I have contacted the FTC and have a way to prove when they called every single time...  Now I will make sure to stay on top of this bogus company.  I will be part of any class action suit the FTC has going!!!!  My best advice is to get the phone company to print out a copy of the last 90 day of your caller ID.  There is no way they can say that they didn't call you with the proof on paper.

I receive a call from Trans World, they are trying to collect a debt.  I called them back with the number they asked me to call them back with & the reference ID Number.  They were trying to collect a debt on a person that used to work in my office(I get these calls @ my place of business!!).  I told the lady that he no longer works here, that I did not have a forwarding address/telephone number and that they needed to quit calling our office!  She said she was sorry and that they have noted on the account that we have no new information on him and to quit calling.  We shall see if they call again, I have the date/time noted down, and if they do call again, I will have to get really NASTY and CRAPPY with them!!

This phone number has called us before for weeks and then they stopped. But as of this past week 4-13-09 they started back.... So, I called them and ask who they wanted, they ask for a "Bruce" we told them, they had the wrong number and gave them our first name. Now they have started back calling again, isn't there "Something" that can be done to stop this other than just not anwering the phone?

I get calls every day starting at 8 am till at least 9:30 in evening..I get at least 4 a day..I also have never received paper work and want them to quit calling my home

I received calls from these people in the past and researched it by typing the number online. It seemed to be a scam. They would use names that were not my name when calling, and a different name each time.

Over the past two weeks I've been receiving calls again but this time they give their name as Transworld Systems, a collection agency, and say this is required by the government. They do not use a name for me, but give me an account number to use when I phone them.

I am now online and have attempted to write TWS to either verify the phone and account numbers and/or warn them that these calls are being made in their name.
Unfortunately I have to give them more information than I would like, just to send the email. I read a few complaints about the company and it seems like their practice is to remain somewhat anonymous, by not giving the supposed debtor a way to contact a person directly about an account.

Okay, so they really do not know who I am. I do not know who they are. They haven't written me a letter. I have have no letters from anyone in the past seven years saying that I owe anyone money. I have lived at the same address for many more than seven years. Why the mystery? I would say this is harassment, not good business.

Right I have received a lot of phone calls on my cell phone from somebody with a british accent.  They keep leaving a voice message that asks me to call some number about a collecting a dedt. I am not calling anybody back because I do not owe any money.  I am just going to have my cell phone number changed to get rid of these guys.  It sounds like the best way to handle this situaton.

They call four and five times a day, sometimes more than that.  It is a recording and I have no idea,who they are looking for.  I never get a live person and am getting sick of getting these calls.  They even call on the weekend, starting at 8:00am, when I am trying to sleep. It has even happened on Sunday.  Go away!!

This company calls repeatedly with no identifying info and they do not leave messages.  They call at all hours of the day.  It's very frustrating and annoying to say the least.

I also keep getting calls from this number saying I must pay a bill. Don't have any bills. I'll call BBB tomorrow. They left a message with a reference number 15272408

I found I could buy a $3.00 whistle atl a sports store,   and they have a 800 number.  Use *67 before dialing from a pay phone.  This should get their attention.

I receive a recorded message from this company 4 times per week for over 9 months now. I never answer it nor return the call because I have not received mail from a collection agency that links to this number. Would love to know if anyone knows who this company is.

Checked out the link, and it appears from the website, that they are looking to hire people who will earn their money the same way a salesperson does.

Bet they hired some of the dead beats they found, and that's how they pay off their debt.

Or they're vampires.
