These dumb-dumbs keep phoning my fax number - good luck with that one! :)

Yeah they are an collection agency,basically any 1(866) # are from collectors or solicitators.Beware though some might be a scam from an con artist.They usually use caller i.d. spoofing in order to decieve.If they claim to be from a collection agency just ask for them to confirm your identity such as asking if they know your d.o.b. ,address,sin# etc. If they can't provide the answers then that's your cue that their up to no good. If they are indeed from a genuine collection agency and you know that you are delinquent in your payments then you should not worry too much,because they really have no legal grounds to sue you or even garnish your wages lets alone confiscate your assets.The reasons for this is simple,according to the contract you signed and agreed with your creditors,it clearly stipulates that you owe the money to them and them alone.once your creditor write of the amount they are unable to collect and sell it to an collection agency,then your no longer legally obligated to pay them,simply because the contract clearly stipulates that you owe the money solely to the creditor and not the collection agency.Furthermore when the collectors do make the threat of suing you,they know that the have no legal grounds,their just saying it in order to scare you into paying.Collectors usually buy written off debt from your creditors by say purchasing it for 20 cents on the dollar. This is basically how the collectors are able to profit.

I received a call from this number and they told me that they have a claim on their desk that they would like resolved. When I asked what it was for they couldn't tell me just that an amount for around $400 was owing. They told me it was owed to activ kapital but this is some other phony collection agency. It is a total scam. They are either phishing for personal info or if they are actual taking money from people who probably never owed anything in the first place. I'm guessing the former is correct and they are building a database of info to either sell, defraud or for future collections. They have been calling almost daily and I wanted to find out why. As I suspected, it is a scam. So, if you get a call from this number, don't answer. I think that to even ask to be taken  off of their call list helps them build a database of names associated with working numbers.

As i was faxing to another number (and not a '866' exchange), this nember was showing up on the screen of my fax machine. What's this all about

866-709-1124..........first called as unknown#, then 30 minutes later the 866#...these bottom feeding sucker mouthed sludge bags can call and call and call until the end of time...who the hell are they but some stranger sitting in a sleazy office drinking shitty coffee and speaking to people with misery and hate all day??? hahaha don't stress, don't worry, DON'T ANSWER! get rid of voice mail and your answering machine and get on with your day :)
