They called from 866-747-4463 having to do with my ex BF. They probably have other numbers too. They are a legitimate company looking for skips who bail on their car loans and can't be located. So if you got a call for anyone it had to do with them trying to recover a banks collateral.
ONe interesting thing to note is apparently if you harass them with tons of phone calls they will restrict your number. This happened to my x BF. He was calling them because his ex GF has the car(the person said he was a private investigator, this is a lie) and he wanted to know if they'd located her yet. My ex BF is an alcoholic so u can well imagine the drunk rants he went into when he called. So apparently if u call them constantly with a drunk rant then they block u so u can't call them and they haven't tried to call him anymore. They only called him once I believe. I changed my number after the 2nd call(I was getting other harassing calls from someone else too) and I researched this company on the net. Who else they're calling I couldn't say but it appears if my ex BF is any indication, they don't call the debtors more than once or twice instead harassing family, friends and neighbors of the debtor. It should be illegal to harass someone that's not the debtor but they are dealing with difficult skips who are not going to tell them where they are because they don't want their car repo'd so they figure if they harass family and friends long enough one of them that knows where the debtor is is going to blab to make the harassment stop. The problem is they rely on credit reports and other information from information brokers and data miners and alot of this information is incorrect or out of date and they for some reason think everyone they talk to is a liar because this is all they do. When they call and say it has to do with bank fraud or id theft, etc, they are using a pretext to illicit information. They really are no better than the people they are pursuing. It is my understanding that bellescamp is no longer allowing this spoofing, etc. But there may be other companies that do. Bellescamp is allowing text messaging now.
Just know if u get a call from them it has to do with a difficult skip and recovery. Granted the info they have may be out of date but that won't stop them from callling. The only way to stop them is change ur number.

Lmao I had fun with these people on the phone. They are scammers so just call them back and have fun f****ng with them lol the "investigator" called me Jersey trash and said that my family was full of s*** haha I enjoyed this call.
They call from a different number every time and use fake names. They also know the last four digits of your social so don't let them fool you.

This has recently happened to me. I have contacted the FTC, and Attorney Generals office. It would be helpful if you joined me to put a stop to these people and their practices.Please share with with me how you came about this info. Can I also use your info with the FTC.

They use a call scrambler that your cell phone will show as a call coming in from a local number registered in your cell phone as someone in your cell phones directory. I got 4 calls from these people each showing up on my cell phone as an incoming call from a business associate.
They hide behind fake names and other peoples phone numbers and then harass you, your business associates and your relatives.
They also like to make threats and call you names and try to belittle and berate you as part of their intimidation tactics.

SB Investigations is a company called Skipbusters. They are part of a larger company called American Recovery Service and Patrick K Willis Company. Patrick K Willis bought Eddie Murphys mansion in El Dorado Hills, Ca. The CEO is Peter Willingham The main managers for Skipbusters are David Copeland, Joey Yo http://www.facebook.com/joey.yo and Steven Shelk his wife Sara Harrigan works for the other side American Recovery Service.
The numbers they leave you are to what is called a spoof, trap or blind line the extention is usually the last 4 didgets of your internal account 6 didget number. These services are provided by companies such as http://www.bellescamp.com/. When you call in to these blind line's, you r called id block is defeated even if you *67 the before you call. Other things they can do with these blind numbers are input exactly what they want to show up on your called id. If they have your mothers phone number they can use that to make you pick up. None of this is illegal. They can also put your own number into the caller id to get into your voicemail. That is illegal, but they do it anyway and get away with it.
Everyone at Skipbusters uses an alias, to protect their identity and they hide behind the blind line to escape the threat of any type of legal action. The average billing for a repo to one of their clients is arround 350 to 400 for the investigation and 350 to 400 for the repo. The investigator makes about 75 dollars commission per car, of which the contracted repo driver and his company usually makes only about 275 to 300 dollars per car.
Please please, please do not be afraid of SB investigations, they will use every tactic in the book to scare you, your friends and family to get to your car. To them you are not human and they do not care about what problems you have, you are just a number. Call the lein holder on your vehicle and negotiate you may find that they are more amicable to your plight than SB investigations.

I got a call from him today too, but with a 316 area code. Said he was trying to get ahold of one of my friends that used me as a reference, but after speaking to her, found out she'd never used me as a reference on ANYTHING. Very strange. "Avery Smith" said he was located in California and needed to speak with her about a bank fraud case. However, the number he originally called me from was a Kansas area code and she is not aware of any such case. Who is this guy and how has he gotten both of our numbers and linked them together???

Avery Smith supposedly of SB Investigations is stalking every member of my family, my work - just got fired today because of his second phone call - this is documented in 2 email messages from my boss along with a termination letter due to this harrassment. The 'first time he called he said he was investigating bank fraud, the second identity theft.... neither of which apply to me or my 86 year old mother with dimensia or my nephews one in state one out of state.... this guy is crazy. He also calls from 214-720-6867. Beware this scammer - he is really out of the Austin area.
