I have been harassed for the past five years by this company called CRS, on several occasions I have the company to send me documentation on how much I supposedly owe them. They never send any means of documentation or proof that I do owe any money to them at all. All I get is phone calls all day and night long.The number they use is 1-800-361-2613 along with these numbers 1-905-660-2900, 1-416-613-5802, 1-416-777-2230, along with the phone number provided above. This company breaks all the credit laws that Canada has and is still in business. The company should be named Contact We Have no Proof and like to Harass People Services

I have an unlisted phone number and somehow they got that. I wonder how.I called Bell and they assured me they did not get it from them. They have been harassing me for 4 years.I do not have a clue why. Sometime they stopped calling for few months and sudenly start again every days and several time a day. Honest to god they must have 24 hours shift.

Called cell 4 times in one day and left unintelligible voice mail looking for someone I've never heard of.
Called them. Claimed they have no record of calling my number. Asked to speak to the manager sent to voice mail. Asked csr what her name was sent to voice mail. Hung up on me 4 times before I finally gave up.

I have paid off Canadian Tire in Full and these annoying people at Collections continue to phone 10 times a day right into late evening!
I asked canadian tire to arrange to have calls stopped as they arrange it in the first place.
Last time I use Canadian Tire card I only missed 2 months and this began.

Sweetheart, this caller is Contact Resources Services, a collection agency in Ontario.  They call me too, because the person they are looking for abandonded a phone number years ago, that CRS still have.  So like a stupid dog, CRS just keeps on calling and calling and threatening and leaving unintelligable messages.  When they called falsley identifying themselves as "the mail room" and that i had an important message waiting for me, I traced their number back to these reports.  Accordingly, they got a call with several minutes of heavy breathing and grunting to listen too.  If they are so dishonest and prepared to waste your time, call them back and waste theirs.  Their address is posted on the net.  Send them a letter advising them to cease and desist or legal action will follow.  Report them as harrassing callers to your phone co.  Use caller block.  If you have a toll free phone service, call them up and leave the phone off the hook all day or all night so they cannot use that line.  Understand this.  Companies like this are fair game when police and phone companies shield outfits that harrass innocent victims in their quest to recover old, written off unrecoverable purchased debt.  If you have a phone number that belonged to someone whose name you don't even recognize, that is what is going on.  As a last resort, simply change your phone number and unlist it.  It costs, but if the cops think this sort of activity is okay to shield, you can always begin calling them at all hours of the night too if you really need to get your pound of flesh.

Its HBC credit services when you call them not CRS.

CRS ethics for collecting money is being rude and annoying calls.  Looks like they are desperately wanting to make money from collecting to consumers.   Despite writing a letter to make them stop with their harassing calls they just kept at it.  Thinking of filing a complaint with this very company.

They keep caaling, each time someone new, each time threatning.

they must adhere to, asked not to call your work, boss annoyed they must stop.  they are not
allowed to file legal action until it goes through company or something?/ look it up!!!

SCARED LADY, same to you, request a copy of whatever you are being asked to pay!! that is your right.  PEOPLE dont forget that option we all have on our phones ***call BLOCK***

GET EDUCATED< your rights and rules they must follow, they will pull out all the stops ie;scare tactics and such,  stop them in their tracks and stop your extra STRESS by telling them what is and isnt ok.     JUST GOOGLE your question, youll get lots of info on the subject, be empowered

Harrassing me regarding a canadian tire mc that I have had an agreement with for over two years through a debt consolidation program. How can they hassel me when all pmts have been made AND ON TIME TO CANADIAN TIRE MC?

Got a call from 18667333279.  Lady said she was calling from CRS and there was an important legal matter due to negligence with the city of ******.  She left a voicemail stating that if I didn't call back by 5 p.m. today, legal action would proceed.  WTF.

divorced,,,went bankrupt not by choice...back in 2008..discharged 2009.....all creditors including Canadian tire under bankruptcy...keep getting calls from contact resources still to this day they have been contacted by trustee...by  me and everytime they call....constantly ...adviced them ...they're answer  i'm a dead beat...i should be paying my bills...if i can afford to go bankrupt...they hve a judgement against me and refuse to remove it...!!!  now i have to get a lawyer involved which will cost me alot of money ..because they are to dam stupid  to realise ..life is not all a  box of chocolates filled with goodies..sometimes you get crapped on and that's life....  they are a very unorganized ..self centered company who  doesnt give a dam about anuthing but makinbg sure they meet their quota or whatever..someone has to step up and do something...

I have been getting threatening phone calls for months and I don't even know who the person is that they are looking for. They don't believe that I know nothing of this person and I have explained that I've had this phone number for years and have never even met anyone by that name. The people calling are very rude and they have even hung up on me when I tried to explain that they have the wrong information and I've had this problem for a while.They also ask me for my own personal info even though they realize I'm female and they're looking for a male.I've gotten hundreds of phone calls and I don't know what to do. When I finally got someone on the phone who would somewhat listen to me, he explained that even though I'm constantly asking to get my number taken out of their system, it keeps being re-entered by the person they are looking for. They sometimes won't say who they're representing since I'm not the person they're looking for, but usually say they're calling from CRS and once or twice they've said they're from CPP. They are always saying to take care of this "SERIOUS claim before it's TOO LATE" and the deadline they are giving me is constantly changing. The deadline for time given before "taking SEVERE LEGAL ACTION" is always a few days away and this has been going on for close to a year. This morning I finally got a name and number for a direct line (Rick 604 691 2452) as opposed to being told to call the number I'm usually given (866-733-3279) However, it is a Vancouver number and not only do I not have long distance, I am also aware a collector must not communicate or attempt to communicate with a person for the purpose of collecting, negotiating or demanding payment of a debt by a means that results in the costs of the communication being payable by the person. Yet another violation of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.

Spoke about a file number and pending legal action. Recorded on my answering service at 6.32am. That's RIGHT at 6.32am duration 32 seconds. First time caller, registered as 604-629-2009  on my call ID display.

I have continuous phone calls from these people. Yes I do have an outstanding credit card debt with Canadian Tire. My account was paid each month (at least the minimum) until I lost some income, namely child support and hours at work. I have tried to reason with them and told them I would make at least some payment each month until the debt is paid and in the meantime if that is not good enough to take me to court. My hands are tied. Yes I only make 50.00 payments some months but isn't that better than nothing? Now, as my home phone was cut off they are calling me at WORK. I have told them verbally and sent a letter (which was returned) to not call me at work. I could lose my job! But, still, yesterday my coworker takes a message for me saying some auotmatic dialer left a message on the office voice mail. What can I do?

Googled them and found they are called Contact Resource Services, a collection agency in Clarkson/Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

They are Contct Resource Services in Missisauga Ontario. They commonly act for Canadian Tire. They are hopelessly disorganised. I have had an arrangement with them for months now, but they still keep making the same calls and the arrangement doesn't show up on the card statement, but when I ring them they say it is all okay. They are legit, just hopeless.

I received this automated call from CRS regarding "an important security issue with my account".  Hard to believe since I do not have any credit cards and I am not in debt.  Get the same automated message at work on both lines.  Line 2 is not advertised at all.  So I can only assume that they are dialing random numbers.  I have spoken to a few people and they get these calls also.  It is very annoying.  How do I get them to stop?

I called and the lady told me she couldn't tell anything because I didn't know a name or file number. Said an agent would call and give a person's name and file number. Then they could help. I asked her what they do, are they a collection agency. She said they are a "legal firm". Asked her to remove us from their database since this is a business, said she can't do that unless I know the persons name or file number.

They are collection agency. Since, I ignored all their messages at home, they started calling my work and leaving their number for me to call back. Their message always says "call my office regarding pending legal matter"  It's been 3 months now that they are doing this. If this is a legal matter I should  have received something in the mail for ignoring their messages.

Our voicemail has been tagged numerous times by this number. They leave a call back # 18667333279.  I have called to tell them that this is not the person's number. This person is a relative with the same last name and initial, which would definitely seem like the person's home phone number, but it is not. They have threatened us that we may be a part of fraudulant activity. We have asked them to take off our number and have said that the person at question has indicated this as their number. We have called the cops, they have given us the number of Consumer Info. Center (Alberta) 18774274088 to get more information on how to deal with this. Consumer Info. Center says I have to get their address and give them written request to have my number taken off their legal collection document. Until I do that, and if the number is not taken off, then further action can ensue. I don't understand why I have to go through all this because someone else cannot pay their bills.

I called the Consumer Info. Center back, and told them I do not want to write and send my address info to CRS. The dispatcher I got (this time around) said that I don't need to do that. He said, if in Alberta, you can file an online complaint through their website servicealberta.ca. I've done so and they've been very helpful.

Got a call from Johnny.  He quoted a file number with my name stating that this was a serious legal matter and I wouldn't like it if he had to start calling my employer.  If I didn't call him back, they would be taking legal action.

I called the number he gave (8667333279) and it was CRS.

Same here I think we should only pay them a few dollers a month as long as a payment made the rest will up to court that would be a six month down the road.
