dont call lol......they bought the debt from the original creditor that wrote it off......statue limitations has passed more than likely, at least in my case.......so they cant sue ya, but they will try to scare you with everything in the book and they will never mail you anything........they told me it was Nationwide Document services  and said something consider this call as your notice if you don't respond we will file with the fta or some bs........I got calls from James Johson, i think and then I get a call from last name Jackson.....doesnt say nationwide but leaves the same number. and tries to scare me that he just got this in my office and that I must return his call today lol.........and keeps saying this is the final attempt..........they cant sue, but will try to scare ya in paying and will call family and they will call from all kinds of numbers and unknown

BAD  COMPANY

Called my work, left a voice mail, talked to one of the assistants also and left a message which gave out personal information and then proceeded to tell them he was serving me with a court summons and how to proceed through security at my work.  left a case number also.  Found out it was Allstate Mediation to collect unpaid payday loan to Ace Cash Express.  They used Lockwood Locators who I am promptly filing a complaint against with Texas Attorney General because they asked an assistant how to get through security to serve papers and then left a message with my name and case number and that they were serving me a court summons.  Jerks.  I called the 855 number left and the people were very helpful.  I told them I would have paid it before now but access to the web page had been blocked on ace cash express' part.

I had some jack*** named Dan Hoffman state that he was a locater. He told me that he had paper to serve me and that I needed to call the company called AFF. I asked him what was this about and he said he didn't know and that I needed to call them. I know that is a scam, because this attempt was made against me before. When I asked for something in writing that refused to give it to me. When I asked for a their address and website so I could look up information about; it was refused. I told them to serve me with the papers so I can dispute this in court. Does anyone know what I can do about this, to make it stop?

Nationwide =SCAM.  WON'T give you their mailing address (told me to hire an attorney and they will provide them with an address)  WON'T mail anything to you to validate the "debt", WON'T give you original creditor or amount details of "debt", WON'T provide name and phone number of their "locator".  They WILL call you at home, work and cell threatening to serve papers and they WILL steal your money if you give them any info.  Their "locator" calls from a local number, but won't leave a message, when you call back, it says "this dept of investigation phone will not relay voice mail, leave a messge, the box is full, an error has occured"  blah, blah, blah.  They try to scare and embarrass people into paying something they don't owe

This agency has also called me from the same number, and i was able to put some investigation into it...They are Nationwide Recovery Group LLC .They use the numbers: 877 357 3499 and 866 751 4055. They must use the same tactics of a 'locator' initiating and calling you informing you that they are ready to serve court papers. You ask why, they respond in regards to a debt. You are unaware as for the very fact that you have never received any prior literature via mail or other routes. They then give a number to call and there they are able to save you from getting served and rudely arrange settlements. All organizations are required under the Fair Debt collection Practices Act to provide the validity of debt to you. They are very very rude people...I just spoke with a "Michelle Jones", if that's her real name,  from 866-751-4055, the company name is supposedly "Nationwide"...would NOT give me the address and got very agitated when I asked her about her full name...Lauren Kelly is the one who's suppose to serve me papers and her number is 337.376.2638 but of course she doesn't answer the phone and you can't leave voicemails...but then I have a new company calling me, repeatedly, CCS out of Jamestown, NY 716.338.0077 or 855.362.8684 with the same bull as "Nationwide" except i do believe these people are more rude!!!!  Mr. Wright, who is the rudest, Mr. Gates and Ms. Green...like the previous person said, how common are these names? something seems fishy about both of these companies and  I wish someone could help me and bust these people for scamming people and making threats the way they do!!!  If someone knows anymore info, could you please let me know, thanks!!

Consumer Comment: False Collection Pratices and lies. Harrassment at workplace, They also falsely
represent themselves as being associated with legitimate law firms. They call peoples' jobs,
speak with coworkers, human resources, supervisors, friends, friends of friends, family members,
spouses, ex-spouses, family members of ex-spouses, anyone they can. They lie, intimate the person
is about to be arrested for criminal charges, that they will be sued within 5 hours, papers being
served as they speak, papers served via the non-involved party they are speaking with, etc. They
talk to people other than the person actually involved and basically defame those people's names
and disclose personal and private information to people they legally should not be giving that
type of information to,whether or not it is true or false. They speak very forcefully and are
very intimidating with everyone. They threaten, scream, swear, lie, lie, lie and say whatever
they can to provoke a response. They never ever give their corporate office name and address.

They give P.O. boxes. They do not announce they are trying to collect a debt. They seem to deal
predominately with delinquent Payday Loans. Many times these loans have exceeded the statuate of
limitations in their respective states. They will not provide validation of debt letters on their

letterhead.

All these Company names seem to be affiliated. They are using the same collection scams/practices
to get people to call them to try to force a payment by fear tactics, use the same phone numbers

Have you noticed that all of these names are common plain vanilla Anglo Saxon type names? (no

offense meant,please.) I wonder if there is a computer program that spits out a "common" name for each collector? It just seems too strange to me.

Did they give you their company name?

I too am having problems where these people are calling my family, my exes family, and giving out my personal information to them. They are calling from numbers listed with the area codes of my family's phone numbers and then harassing and lying to them. They are threatening charges against me also, and claim I have been served via a family member.
Personally, I will not call them back!  If they don't have your personal phone numbers DON'T call them back from them IF you desire to speak with them. Use a pay phone from a town other than yours. Even if you block your number from your end, anyone with an 800, 866, etc. number will be able to see it anyway.
This is a debt collection call probably from a defaulted payday loan, unpaid medical bill or something like that. I had a payday loan that I paid on for a year and a half but had to keep renewing because I could never catch up with the fees, etc after being laid off. I figured they got their money back a hundred times over and finally just quit paying. They have threatened me with "bad check" prosecution, which it is not, by the way according to the structure of payday loans in general, so don't let them fool you that way. I got into a trap, the only way to stop it after a point was to simply quit paying. Bad mark on my credit, oh well. I can live through it...

By the way who can I complain to regarding the release of my private information to other people?


Call Type: Debt Collector

Did they leave threatening messages, and claim that this was your "last chance" to contact them?  Claimed that they have charges and a claim filed against you?  Same number pulled that on me, about two or three months ago... I ignored them, and lo and behold... NOTHING HAPPENED!  Then today, they were calling my number, leaving the same threatening message, but this time for my ex.  They ALSO called my FATHER, asking for my ex; how they got his number is beyond me.  No idea who they are, but I strongly suspect they are a scam.

I need to find out any info about this number because I cannot find anything. Every place says no results found.
