Received 2 calls yesterday and 3 calls within 30 minutes today from "unknown" caller. I answered all but the last call. Each time I answered the 4 calls I could hear voices in the background but they wouldn't speak to me directly. My voicemail picked up the last call and they left a message stating we would be served a sumons at our home and place of employment. They left a phone number for "Law Offices of Brinkman & Associates"(866) 760-4327) to call if we wanted more info before we were served. The number went to a company called "Brinkman & Line Group". I called and left a voicemail. When I started looking up this company by name and phone# I have found several different company names. Law Groups do not operate under multiple names.  When they returned my call they told me I owed $840.00 for a cash advance loan from 2003.  I informed them I  had been sued in 2006 for this debt  and my wages garnished. It was paid in full.  I also told them they were the third "Law Group" that have threatened to sue me for this debt I have already paid.  She told me she had someone elses account on her screen and she had made a mistake. REALLY? ?? How many other people have been sued for their "mistakes"? They are scam artists! ! Don't pay anything or give any information until you research whether or not it's real or if it's paid or not !!

Got a voicemail from an unknown number and person that said her name was Cyndi Scott. She left that 866 number and a reference number. She never identified the company she represents. Only said she would serving me papers at my home or place of business. Go for it! Sounds shady to me and I'm not calling anyone I'm not sure of and getting trapped in some scam.

called back from a different number, asked information about the company said for a client, they said they needed a case number, I asked why is it they couldn't give general information about their company?  I would not provide a case number, she said what would you like to know, I asked how long their business had been in service, she said 3 years, I said what is the location of your main office.... silence, she hung up.  yeah not so sure about it.

yes brinkman, called back to give your message to them about needing documentation etc. but coincidentally no answer just had to leave a message which I wont.

Just received a call from unknown number today, they called twice, finally answered, they said they were part of a liaison group, had to look that up btw, then I was like um ok, so they said they could not give me any further information only a number to contact about my case number, and then gave me a case number, i'm nervous, but I have to call figure this out, the guy says its about arbitration and that I owe advance America back from 2004, yes I do believe I took something out, but I couldn't be for sure, they used references as an ex I haven't spoken to in YEARS, I have never left the state or been unable to find, so i'm not sure why after 10 years they are just now trying to contact me?? he put me on hold a couple times for about 3 minutes each when he was supposedly talking to the advance America place to see what kind of settlement could be worked out. said I owed 242.00 that they would settle for payments of 100 for 4 months, or outright at 200.. I said there is no way I can afford this right now, I would have to set up something else.. they said that I should have known about it, as someone would be at my home tonight with papers for me to sign.  UM??? The guy said they would not settle what I offered, and that someone would be at my home in 24-48 hours, I asked him how he even got my number since its not listed under my name but my moms anyway, he said they have private agencies locate those people they need.  He then told me that it was as serious as malitious attempt of fraud, that I would be facing if taken to court, but that it could be talked down if it was not intentional.. yeah scary.  No idea what to think or do.  Never had this issue before... but yeah same number I called 1866 760 4327, I'm not signing crap if someone comes to my door, sorry nope.  

I got a phone call last year about this time this company telling me the last 4 digit of my ssn and wanted to serve me and I got another call who can we call to report this to there has to be some one who can stop them

This company called me as well they wanted me to pay on something from 2005 from advance America. They wanted 502 within 24hrs or I would be served papers at my work or home and a warrant would be issued for me and I would face federal charges. For one the Statue of limitations is  expired. when I called them back I told them I have talked to atternety and they must provide all documentations before anything else could be disused and they hung up. DO NOT PAY them anything anyone... they are not LEGIT!!

smh u still think that they got your number through tapping your phone? why wouldnt they just call u directly?  and on top of that u still owe the gas man, and ur father helps pay ur bills

These people are getting phone records some how. I had called my gas companys delivery guy yesterday about delivering us some gas.  A few minutes later he gets a call from :unknown:,they leave a message concerning me.  He called me and gave me the number they had left, and it was this number.  My thing is, the only way they could have gotten his number is to get my phone records, that was the first time I had  called him. Isn't that illegal??????  They gave me all the same bull that they give everyone else about a debt from 2008 and that they are going to serve me with papers at my home and work...

I GOT A CALL ABOUT A CHECK CASHING PLACE I DID 14 YEARS AGO....I TOLD THEM I BEEN UNEMPLOYED FOR MONTHS AND COULDN'T HELP IT TO DO WHATEVER....TOLD THEM SINCE THEY HAD ALL MY INFO TO SEND ME SOMETHING IN MAIL ABOUT IT ALL, BUT NEVER GOT ANYTHING BUT SINCE I HAVE GOT THE SAME KIND OF CALLS AS OTHERS.....MAYBE OLD CREDITORS SELL YOUR INFO TO LET THESE GUYS TRY AND GET THE MONEY OUR OF YA, I'M DOING NOTHING.....I';; WAIT FOR THE SUMMONS...AND SEE

They called me and said they were collecting on a debt from Cash Advance America from 2005 and with fees would be $695. They had my previous married name, the last four numbers of my ex husbands social security number, and an old address from 3 years ago. They said they were sending summons out in 24 to 48 hours to my home or work place.  I called them back, they transferred me to some other girl named Veronica and when I started asking her questions, she immediately got defensive and nervous. This is a scam. I never took any loans out.

I received a call from this number today stating that if I didnt pay them for an account that was 9 years old, they would be summonsing me the next day. I asked for proof, documentation etc. They kept belittling me. Well I wasnt about to stand for it. I asked for their physical address and they gave me an  address which when I looked it up, it was a UPS store in New York. I spoke to the UPS store and they said they have been getting many calls for the same thing. Please do not pay anything to BRINKMAN ALLIANCE! I spoke to a Veronica and a Kaylee. What a joke. They are lousy at trying to pretend to be professional, They cursed me out and said all kinds of stuff. I caught them right away lol.

I received a voicemail from this number saying that I owed a debt and they wanted to deliver documents.  They have the wrong person though. This is definitely a scam.  I called number back and told them they have the incorrect number

Got a call from this number telling me it was from Brinkman Alliance...saying I owe a bill that was 210.00///they will take 310.00 to clear it...is it a legit place...They said they will issue a Cease and deciss order on serving me papers if I pay them in 3 installments...HELP!!!!

okay I got a call first from an unknown number they gave me this number saying that I owe money on a debt  they wanted to serve me with documents they couldn't tell me what kind of documents but wanted to come to my home between 10 and 2 on a monday! hell no nobody by that name live here!

I RECIEVED A THREATING AND HARRASING PHONE CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE TRYING TO COLLECT A DEBT THAT IS OVER 7 YRS OLD. THAT IS PAST THE STATUE OF LIMITATIONS. THE THREATENED ME WITH CRIMANAL CHARGES IF I DID NOT PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS. WEIRD HOW THEY SAID THEY ONLY TAKE ELECTRINICA PAYMENT AND ASKE DTHEM TO EMAIL ME INFORMATION ON THE COMPANY AND THEY SENT IT FROM A GMAIL ACCOUNT. WHAT KIND OF LEGIT COMPANY HAS AN EMAIL ACCOUNT.
