They asked questions about my car....they already knew the model I was driving ....they said they would donate 500.00$ to the mothers against drunk driver

They've called me three times in two days, and another couple of time in the past. They never left any voice mails.

Called me.  WHen i asked who is calling they hanged up on me.

Tired of "Nor Provided" numbers calling at all hours. I never give out personal information over the phone - I don't care if the person says they are the president of the US. I also do not call people at odd hours of the day and night, even my dearest friend, and yes I do resent people I don't know not respecting my privacy in my own home. Tonight someone called me and when I politely asked "who' calling please?" He mumbled something and hung up. You call and don't want me to even know who you are? That doesn't spell legitimate to me.

Did not answer this call that came in at 8:30 p.m. today, and no message was left.  The Caller ID listed it as AcrAbat Research (not AcrObat, as others have noted).

I've recently installed a call blocker, and can now add this number to the list.  Best money I ever spent!

banking survey. If they'd ask my permission before the start asking questions, I'd do the suvey. I just hate it when they don't ask, then tell you they're recording it, and keep going. Just hung up on her.

Calls like this are why I got rid of my lan line. And a big thank-you to Rogers who obviously sold my # to them. Like when I ordered something online from Mary Maxim and a few months later started recieving all this addressed admail from Readers Digest and other companys, turned out it was because Mary Maxim has sold my address to them!

Just got a call from these scumbags.  Told them to talk my name off the list but I doubt it does any good.  I'm on Do Not Call list and even though their "surveys" are exempt it is a violation for them to call back after I've ask to be remove.  The guy hung up before he indicated I would be removed.  Probably going to say I didn't ask.  

I'd really like to meet some of these scumbags. It seems their home office is in Canada.  Unfortunately that's too far away.  Maybe they'll open a branch in the southeast U.S.

received a call from this number tonight @ 8:15 pm. She said she was asking me to take a short survey on a bank and when I was answering he question she hung up and I got a dial tone. Fishy to me!

Whoever it was, they left a message on my voice mail. Twenty-four seconds of heavy nasal-breathing into a headset microphone. Pleasant.

you know - that's quite a sentiment....just making the calls and hoping you don't get sworn at too many times. Lately, I've had to laugh because telemarketers have started hanging up on ME - because I've started asking questions, even tho I have been extremely polite.  I think both sides - the people who answer, and the people who make the calls have to remember that there are humans on either side of the phone.  If the industry has to exist, can we be human enough to still be polite?  It is better in MHO to just hang up rather than swear at the people on the other end....

acrobat research, from what I know of it, is just a survey company, we call people all over and mostly do surveys for banks and such.  its boring and doesnt pay that great, but its a job.  if you listen to the questions we ask, its not that big of a deal.  im not sticking up for the company, but its always going to be a little different each call you get from our place because there are different personalities.  and to the post about the soft spoken woman, i have an idea of who it was and shes kinda flakey, if she couldnt hear you well or it was close to break or closing she probably just hung up.  i couldnt tell you if the company has any agendas politically or if theres any angles, but its not a scam on the interviewers end, we just make the call and hope not to be told to f off too many times. hope this helps.

I receive a call from them at least once/day.  We don't have caller ID but long distance rings different and we don't answer.  It is a pain to have to delete their call every time they phone....as soon as it flips to the answering machine, they hang up.

Got a call from this number. I completed the survey. It was a bank survey from acrobat (call display).

After dozens of empty answering machine msgs, caller finally left a msg - Aris Interactive, a research firm, collecting data on the health care industry, offering a cash incentive to complete a survey.  Yeah, right...like the same cash incentive offered for stuffing envelopes?

Call received February 04/09. Research firm that was collecting info regarding the quality of the "customer services" of the bank that you are doing business with. Different questions where you are asked to evaluate different aspects of the service (from 1 to 9, 1 being poor service, etc)...

He said he was from Harris International and wanted to ask research questions of my wife.

I threw the person for a loop (he put me on hold for a few minutes, probably to consult with supervisor) when I said "next question" 3 times when he asked about "marital status".

I am very tired of receiving 4 calls a day from companies who hang up as soon as you answer. Its driving me up the wall.. Running in from washing the car to get the phone and then there is no one there.. ERR..
I believe their "research" is to learn what time I am at home to sell to others..

These companies should be obliterated!
