I test drove a Honda 2 days ago & subsequently received calls from this # every day. I was outraged & thanks to this website traced the calls back to the dealership. To their credit, when I spoke with a manager he immediately removed my phone # from their list and told me he would "make a note" not to call.

I knew this would happen....gave my number to a car dealership, and they sell it to a scammer....lesson learned.....again.

Caller said he represented Pensacola Honda. Said he was following up on a recent visit to the dealership. Asked if I bought a car since I visited the dealership. Since I bought a car from the dealership yesterday, I said no. I said it was kind of old, and needed some repairs, and he didn't ask any more questions. Thanked me for my time, and then asked for my email so he could send me some coupons.

It is a call center that Toyota uses.. if you speak with someone at dealership about possibly buying a car they enter you into the system for leads that is why they call. I received one today, I called the dealer and told them that the company is not professional and they should identify who they are, what company they are with and the reason for call before bombarding with questions. I also told them the $37,000 4 Runner I was going to buy will be bought elsewhere that I don't appreciate my cell number being given out without my permission.

Company calls and identifies themselves as "the company you just visited / received service from / purchased a product from" so in my case this was "Honda of Tysons Corner".
This is misleading, given that the company making the call is eLEAD and has no affiliation with Honda.
As others have above, it's best to not provide any feedback to this phishing expedition and make sure you let the firm who gave out your phone number have it!
Cheers

I started getting calls from this number past two days. I have never answered it, but just looked up in Google for this phone number, and this forum popped up. I have given my contact number to only one car showroom, that is Nissan at Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA and now I am confident, based on the above posts that we get these calls only because someone from car/bike showrooms is sharing customers' number with them.

So I didn't know who this number was either until I came onto this sight and saw everyone was saying they had recently done service at a car dealership. I actually work at a Toyota Dealership, and I know which company we use for marketing calls so I figured what the hell I'll call back and see if it's them. It was. So this is a company called Eleads. They do marketing research for all of the big dealerships, and report back customer satisfaction and sales trends every month to the dealership. They do not give your personal information to anyone except the dealership that actually sent your number to them. You absolutely can ask the dealerships to put you on the Eleads do not call list. I actually informed the lady that answered when I called back that since I work for the dealership I know for a fact that I had marked myself as a do not call, and she needs to do a better job of following that. But regardless of such things rest assured this isn't a scam call, and they aren't looking to rip you off for anything just making sure you are happy with the service you got.

just got a call after having my Acura serviced. I called back and told "Leland" that I prefer doing my surveys via email and to take me off the call list. He was quite nice and said he would. We will see. My next call will be to Acura and Honda. I have both and it is a pain!

Went looking at Honda, Kia, Nissan dealerships for a new car and every since then, this number has been calling me over and over again. This is so annoying!!! They never leave a voicemail either....
| DZ 2012-11-06 19:14:32 Unknown |
Based on other posts, This is obviously an independent company that does follow-up calls for various participating dealerships. Mine was calling for Hamilton Nissan asking if I bought a car yet? What could they have done better? etc.

Got two weeks of calls from them, read these posts. Then I called back and spoke with "Ezra", I don't care if its his real name or not. I simply asked "I want this number ____ taken off the call list". He said "yes ma'am, no problem." Haven't had a phone call in a couple days now. I was polite, I think that was half the battle.
Simply call and ask to be removed. :)

We went looking at crossover vehicles at a Subaru dealership & a Jeep dealership right next to each other in NE Atlanta. We told them we were only "looking". That was less than 3 days ago. This number came up on our caller id, but I did not answer. I looked the number up on the internet & found this forum. Sounds like this is probably the same thing as everyone else. Thanks. The other guy was right. Now I know what dealership I WON'T buy from if these calls keep coming.

Only gave number recently to Honda Dealership in California. From above thread, seems as if these callbacks occur from different vehicle dealerships. Must be a service they give their customer names and phone numbers to. No message, just a hang up. Perhaps it's a feedback survey service.

Just bought a Mercedes car from Brumos Mercedes in Jacksonville Florida. Have received several calls from this number but will not answer any.
It used to be that companies would tell you to expect a survey call from Company X. This is annoying when a callers would not identify themselves but expect me to identify myself. "I'm your daddy. Ask yo mama." is going to be my new standard reply.

Browsing on Sunday for a car! Made the mistake of giving my phone number out. The guy at the dealership said we don't constantly call you as it makes our dealership look bad. Well i have had 5 calls in two days.

I received a call from this number 866-796-6124. I returned the call. At first the automated voice said this call is recorded for quality assurances purposes. The call was transferred to a live person. The person asked me who I am. I asked her " who she is". She identified herself as "Kim". She ask me who I was again. I told her, she must know who I am because she just called me. She said she didn't know who I am however I must have just purchased a Harley Davidson motorcycle or wait you just had some work done on your Harley Davidson motorcycle. I asked her why would she call someone and whenever they return their call be so sneaky. "Kim" said what do you mean "sneaky". She was just wanted to asked me some questions about the service I received on my motorcycle. The lady asked me on a scale of one to ten, what kind of service did I receive. I told her up to now about about 7. She asked on a scale of one to ten would I refer the company to other people. Then she said would I return to the company for additional services. I told yes. The lady thank me and hung up.
The lady never identified the company taking the questionaire or the company that performed the service for me. If they are a PR company working for a dealer, they are losing more customer's then they are gaining.
