I get this call quite a bit. It is annoying since they don't leave a message. Only music & then they hang up. What can I do to have this bullcrap stopped ????

Received two calls from this number this afternoon.  First time there was music briefly and then the call disconnected.  The second time, there was just rustling on the other end, and then the call disconnected.

It is a call center that could be anyone from lawn care to travel.  Best just to not answer or hang up.  Another great idea is to ask them to hold and let them wait for ever.  It ties up their line and they will hang up.

If you have an android (or possible other smart phones), download the free app from the app store called "BlackList", I just keep adding these toll free numbers so they get sent to my voicemail instead of my phone ringing.

I have a Panasonic phone. It has call block. You list these numbers in the phone and they get disconnected after one ring.

I've received a call from that number just now. I tried to call it back and I got a 'Not in service' message

What do you mean call block list?  You make a list when someone calls you have it by your phone and then what? You have something that can block those numbers?? Do tell...

Stupid of me to remark last night how it's been a while since we've had the annoying calls... today I've added 4 new numbers to my call block list.  Wonder how many more by the end of the day

As you can see its based right here in Ontario. I've called a number of times to have my # removed and the not only ignore the request they also have picked up in the number of phone calls to my phone.

Not sure this really is Reliance. The guy who is caling said "Simcon" (or something similar in a mumble) "ON BEHALF OF" Reliance. On behalf of usually = Scam -- they will try to get your account number and move your service to their own scammy service. I hung up after "on behalf of".

Got a call from them today...no message.  Have had problems with nuisance calls from toll free numbers in the past, so would like to know who this is.  Anybody else called by this number?

I have a phone that blocks these calls. They get a busy signal. Everyone should buy one.

They call every day, and leave the blank message on the answering machine.  Call the number back and get the option for 'no-call' and they say it takes 30 days.

866-799-8616 is reliance home comfort.   Sadly, THE BEST WAY TO GET TELEMARKETERS TO STOP CALLING YOU, IS TO CALL THEIR TOLL FREE HOTLINE NUMBER FROM A PAYPHONE 100 TIMES FOR EVERY ONE TELEMARKETING PHONE CALL THEY MAKE TO ME.  If you are in a mall at a wall of payphones, it only takes a few minutes to make 100 phone calls. And the solicitor pays 50 cents every phone call, plus toll free hotline charges, and maybe even long distance charges (times 100).  What a complete waste of the solocitor's money, don't you think?  Every time I do that, it solves the problem immediately!!   If they disrespect your wish to be added to the do NOT contact list, then you need to disrespect their phone bill.   Works every time!

BAN telemarketing including political parties etc

I called the number back, and found that I can opt to be on their do not call list. Which I did.

I constantly get calls from 866-799-8616 on my business cell phone.
