Calls me several times a week.  There is never anyone on the other end.  I stay on the line saying hello for a few times, and then it hangs up on me.  It always says "800 service" when they call me.  I don't call them back because of all the overseas long-distance charge scams I've heard about lately.

This number called several time within just the last few minutes, no one talks.  When I traced the number and called back, the phone just kept ringing.  Then it called back again with no one talking....  It happened between 9pm and 10pm EST.  We are on the do not call list.

They just called our home and wouldn't identify themselves. They asked for me by name, even though the phone is not listed in my name. When I asked who they were (and she wouldn't identify) I said I would not respond, then hung up. We too are on the DNC list.

I've been getting on average 1 call per day from this phone number, there is never anyone on the line when I pick up. So I have just stopped picking up the phone when they ring.

I keep getting calls from this number even though I am on the DNC list!  It is a royal pain in the butt to be disturbed at all hours of the day and nobody is there when you answer.  I have called the number back and get nothing.  I must be the computer generator.  Please do something about this number harrassing everyone.  Especially when they are on the DNC List.

These people called me at 10:00 PM... are you kidding me. The man on the other end started to get rude when I told him that it was inappropriate to call so late.

866-810-9248 called 2:22pm on 17FEB08.  Upon my answering, caller hung up.

I let the answering machine get this one but they didn't leave a message.  Caller ID said Toll Free Call

I am also on the Do Not Call List, but that list doesn't apply to surveys.  I used to be a telemarketer and I know that when someone says "do not call me again" that means the call is over.  I had a man call me tonight and after I told him this he kept on trying to get me to answer his questions.  I got so mad that I cursed him and his supervisor.  If I get another call my husband thinks that we could press charges for harassment.

The number above calls us several times a day, but no one is ever on the other end.  I say "hello" several times and then I get the recording "if you like to make a call...".  This is so annoying to have to pick up the phone for this number.

We are on EST and the number called us again at 9:45pm which really upsets me since I have a toddler in bed that is woken.

Please tell me what I can do to stop this.  I see several other complaints about this number calling others.

that # calls my house about 6or7 times a day. they called my house at 10:30 at night i called the number right back a answering machine came on saying if you do not want us to call you leave your number with area code so I did and told them off for calling that late. I have not had a call since then.

This phone number kept calling us repeatedly even up to 8:00PM. The called 4 times in one day and when we answered they hung up on us, every single time. I was to the point of calling the cops and reporting them, but then I found out a handy feature offered by our phone company. It may not be like this on every phone company, but if u receive a call from this number harassing you, pick up your phone, press *60 and (depending on your provider) you will get a recording that allows you to enter 800 numbers that you wish to block from calling your phone line. It's a great feature. Don't put up with solicitations from this phone number. They are basically harassing people and sometimes all you hear is silence and they hang up. It's obnoxious enough that they call you, but then to hang up when you answer is just overkill. Don't put up with it. Even if you don't get the the call blocking service, call your phone company and request to have that number blocked because they have no right to harass people.

Received 5 calls from this number in an 8 hour period.  The last at 10pm at night.  Just tried the *60 and added this number, let's see if it works (never knew that feature existed - THANKS!).

Called 5 times in one day and even called at 10:30 PM!!!! WTF!!!! Asked who they were, said they wanted some info for a survey, told him not to call anymore. Im on the Do not call list

I got three calls from this number between 5:20 and 6:25 on Sunday evening.  Can't the FTC shut them down?

I am so glad to read the other comments.  I am so tired of these people calling.  And this is not the only number we have problems with them calling all the time.  Glad to hear it is some kind of scam.  WHY can't someone do something about it?

I keep getting calls from this number. They don't leave a message on the answering machine. They called again on a sunday! I am on a do not call list as well. I blocked my number and called them back to see who it is but the line keeps ringing - no answer. Grr..

I have gotten four phone calls just today from these people! who the heck are they and WHY do they keep calling me?!

I say "Sorry wrong number" which is my standard response when I receive a call I don't recognize, and I hung up.
Yes I am on the Do Not Call Registry.
Also, this is a cell phone.
Only two people even know the number so it is quite easy to distinguish who is calling. Anyone else gets hung up on.
These people are persistant though...sigh

On my caller ID.  I am on the national Do Not Call list and I do not answer unidentified calls.

I received a phone call from these people, but I did not answer.These telemarketer's don't understand that they are calling my private fucken cell phone, and running up my bill! I hate telemarketer's I will cuss them out NEXT TIME!!!!!!!!!!

I ignored the call for the past 2 days. I then answered the call with 'this is J', as they call on my work cell phone. When I answer that way I have gotten 2 hang-ups.

Have received calls the last three nights, after 9 pm.  Did not get to the any of the calls (I was on the other line), and was curious about the number.  Googling got me to this list.  I didn't know about the 9 pm law - good to know.

I let the call go to voice mail and there was no message.  This morning, before normal business hours, I called them back and got their voice mail. It says that you if you leave the contact phone number and a request to stop calling they will do so but it may take up to 3 days.

They called us several times this week, including two times after 9pm.  Very rude.  Even more rude -- they kept calling even after my wife said that we not participate in their survey.  Called their number back and there was no answer.

I took their next call, agreed to participate in their survey, and answered yes to the third question, "does anyone in the household work for a newspaper or other media outlet."  That was not true, but it did end the survey right there.  They have not called since.

These people called twice yesterday 4/10 (and have called in the past) and when I answer there is nothing...not even a disconnect...someone is on the line? not saying anythng?  I don't know, but it is annoying and even worse, they come  at 7:50 and 9:10 PM, just when I am relaxing for the evening.
