Look up 1427 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30062 on Google streetview.  Hanna has got about 8 cameras on the front of the building.  Must be worried about people coming over.

Asked my name, and address. With the address he said must got the wrong person. If he from a real law firm,
they would of said, their name. No name was said as to the caller.  Also he asked for my date of birthday.
He would not tell my husband, or myself when asked what this was all about. Was not on the up & up to me.

I have been getting calls for several years from "debt collectors", but I do NOT answer. ALL of my debt was discharged in Federal Bankruptcy Court eight years ago. I even spoke to my bankruptcy attorney 2 years ago about the calls, and he assured me of this. So now I am getting calls from this number, as well as Hannah's 770-area code number. Again, I am NOT answering. If they really had a case, they would have sent me something in the mail by now, but neither they nor previous so-called collectors have ever mailed me ANYTHING.  These low-lifes buy up old debt for pennies on the dollar, hoping some poor scared person will take them for legit. They are NOT legit.  BEWARE:  Once you agree to start making payments, you will re-set the clock on your old debt, even if it was discharged in court. The rules may vary from state to state, but DO NOT play their game!  And do NOT answer calls from numbers you do not know!! That's why you have caller i.d. in the first place.

I don't know about what other people do & what their particular situation is, but do NOT assume that everyone who has a bill collector call them has been shirking their responsibility to pay their bills on purose.  In my case, for instance, I wound up disabled. Having applied for Social Security Disability and not having been accepted yet, I have no income. I HAD been paying my bills and when I could no longer work and realized I would have trouble continuing to pay my bills, I tried a payment arrangement with them. Unfortunately, their "minimum" arrangement was much more than I could possibly afford, so I decided to pay them less than their arrangement required (and told them so) but I did not stop paying them. They decided to send me to an unscrupulous bill collector, anyway, who doesn't accept payment arrangements, either. So it looks like I may have to declare bankruptcy. I don't want to,  I would rather pay my bill. But these sleezebags are forcing my hand. I used to be a bill collector and I know the drill. If you're nasty you don't get as much as when you're firm but nice. And if someone is willing to make payments, you're STUPID not to take them. In this economy, if that person is willing to pay, let them!  Not everyone whose bills wind up in collections is there because they just don't want to pay! Stop thinking everyone is the same! Some sleazy bill collectors do NOT obey the FTCPA and try to scare and intimidate people, which is against the law. While there are people going around purposely not paying their bills, there ARE good people out there who through NO FAULT of their own can no longer pay bills theu incurred months ago when things were good. If you think you're so high and mighty, I suggest you stop pntificating and begin to take a hard look in the mirror!

BTW Collector, Most of us in debt don't choose to be in debt! In my case I had a good job. I always paid on time and many times paid more than minimum payment required . Then I lost my job. When you lose your job(like me) and settle for another job with a pay cut and medical bills pile up, and even got a second part-time job to fill the gap you do the smart thing ,close your credit card accounts out and pay what you can afford! Before you brag about how much you make and work in collections, stop and think before you say!  It just goes to show people are right when they say bill collectors are cold-hearted!

I got  a phone call from a lady at 866-811-1159.  She knew my name, and my ex-wife's remarried name.  She said she was from the law offices of Frederick J. Hanna & Associates.  I refused to give her my ex's phone information, but subsequently called my ex, who I do not get along with at all, and gave her the name of the law firm and their phone number.  I do not know if she called them, and the person from the alleged law firm, refused to give me any information citing attorney/client priviledge.  This happened at  8 pm, est.

no, they don't get 20% comm, they get 9%, but it is still nice added to the nice salary that Fred gives them.  I know, I used to work in the St Louis office, but guess what...you still need to pay, because they aren't lying. they know where you work, live, play, all that stuff before they even make the 1st call...work with them, while you still have the chance to work voluntarily...

I know that you all are upset and I was just like you with the harassing phone calls. I told them to screw themselves and go away cause working with Credit Solutions. They told me they would never settle with them and I didn't believe them...but they were right. Credit Solutions never settled my accounts but took my money! I paid a total of 2685.00 to them and I'm still fighting for it back. My credit is ruined and Fred Hanna's office has started garnishing my wages. I didn't believe they were real and hated them also but they hurt me more than I thought they could!! I warn everyone to take heed to this cause sometimes they are serious.

I, too, got a call from Jacob at Frederick J Hanna & A** "law firm".

& I did not dispute the fact that I owe BoA money & I haven't paid on my account in months. I spoke to this man Jacob who initially said that with my "new" job making less money than previous (mortgages prev! & we all know where that is now). I explained I am still in training program at my new company (5mos) & have already received a raise but still doesn't cover my mortgage but that all my other creditors (mortgage included) have been working with me on a "hardship" to accept a very small monthly payment until I can get back on my feet - I opted to not file BK & to try to make good eventually on all my debt but it's a...oles like this that make it damn near impossible. He orig told me that $40 is way too low for a bal of $4K but that if I made a couple good faith payments of whatever I could then they would be more willing to negotiate a smaller payment plan. I said ok - I get paid in a week & will send you at least $40 if I can send more i will. Unfortunately (maybe) I misplaced the address so I called the phone # & got someone different - they said he was an idiot & was in training & didn't know what he was talking about & that's why he know longer works there -he took pertinent info income -primary debt etc & said well I can't do anything unless you send $1000 good faith payment - I laughed & said "that's not gonna happen" if I had $1000 I'd be sending to my mortgage co for which I am 90 days in arrears!
he said he's turning over to wage garnish - I asked for supervisor - he was an a** too- I said every other creditor I have has been willing to try to help - I am NOT the only person in financial trouble right now - Hence President Obama's stimulus!! I am trying to do a little. He said I should borrow from family - I said I have nobody to borrow from - he said then a friend - I said if I had someone to borrow $4K from I wouldn't be 90 days down on my mortgage (which was 120 until I sent them $$ in the past 40 days)
I tried to call Bank of AM & they said "too late"!

Anybody have any ideas please post (I don't usually do this but ... hopeful)

Yea they constantly call me as well. They had the audacity to tell me to apply for a loan to pay them. I told them why would I apply for a loan to pay their extra rude behinds when I have loans out for school? They told me they would garnish my wages...WHAT WAGES?!??!!! I am a broke, out of school college graduates. If BoA is getting bailouts I feel we Americans should get bailouts. One woman was even like, "I've been where you are and its not a nice place to be". I told her well, you should tell BoA not to give credit cards to a 17yr old. Hell my mom lost her job and I had to pay for school.

I receive these calls non stop. At first I tried to talk to them, but they extremely rude. I have told them that I will not deal with them if they are gonna be rude to me. Its not my fault that I got laid off from my good job. Its the fault of greedy people like "collecter" and others like them in positions of power.  I am trying to paymy bills, it just hard when you losse 2500.00 a month off your income.

I have recieved a call from this # yesterday and today asking for some guy that I do now know and the rude guy on the other end of the phone insist that I do know him.  I tried to explain that I do not know who this guy is, but he was very rude saying that he was going to keep calling until I let him talk to him.  I own a hair salon and my cell phone is my buisness phone. He even had the nerve to tell me that I did not own a salon that it was a cover up for the guy he was trying to reach!  So weird!  And he is nasty!  He has never told me what he wanted with this guy other than to talk to him. He has never even said who or what company he is working for.

I received 14 calls from Fredrick J Hannah and Associates within a 24 hour period. I am working with a debt consolidation agency that is very well known and has a very good record - and they keep assuring me that they will be able to come to "some type" of settlement with them. they are so rude and threatening that I can hardly sleep at night. I filed 2 complaints with the Federal Trade Commission. I have always paid my debts and never been late with payments until now and am trying to help myself - with FJH and A**. I am scared I will be taken to court and everything else - they even called to verify my employment - people keep telling me they can't just start garnishing my wages with no other "steps" but it worries me.
I do not know you can sleep at night being one of the collectors at this agency - unbelievable trying to make people feel like sh** when they are TRYING to at least pay most of thier debt without living under a bridge.  VERY VERY RUDE - never had anyone in my life treat me like these people! My particular harasser was "April" and she has to go home daily thinking "man, this job makes me feel like crap!" - if she doesn't, she has no conscience!

I had a tumor on my spine and had back surgery and I am unable to get to work. I earn a living doing day trading for a company but it is not nearly what I was earning.  There was a lot of medical expenses that I had to charge on credit cards because my insurance would not cover the medical costs.  I think God that I live in Texas. In Texas they can NOT garnish your wages or touch any assets.  The only thing that they can get is a “judgment” and that doesn’t mean anything in Texas.  It will just go on your credit report, but if you don’t sign for any certified letters or answer the door, they can’t serve you with papers to get the judgment.  GOD BLESS TEXAS!!!!!!

We received a voice mail message from them.  We pay all our bills on time, so I called them back, being concerned about possible identity theft.  They agreed they were calling the wrong person, and stated that they would remove our number from their list and not continue to call.  They were polite and professional.  Assuming that we get no more calls, I have no complaints.

When these "customer service reps" call, they never identify the company they are with they just ask for a certain person that does reside here. And of course that person is ALWAYS at work. So if they cannot get ahold of that person here, they call that person's cell phone IMMEDIATELY hanging up with me. I know this because this person's cell phone sometimes gets left home.  Last night the "rep" by name of "Rosie" called and spoke with this person (however, this person pretended to be someone else just to find out what "Rosie" wanted) and all "Rosie" told this person was that "it's a "personal" matter. Nothing more, nothing less. After this person hung up with "Rosie" they told me that if people who are calling cannot give more information on what they want, what company they are from etc then that person is not going to talk to them. I would find it quite funny to turn the tables on them to be able to find out all about THEM and make the conversation backfire on them.
Hmm maybe I should use some of my Psychology techniques, maybe the Freudian theories will work???
