Called and asked for (name), I asked who is calling and said his name ia Roger, I asked who he worked for and he said "That depends, is this (name)", I said no and hungup.

Got a call from this number(female caller) said she was calling regarding my master card.I told her I don't have one ...which I don't. She then wanted to verify my date of birth. Told her no way and hung up. Obvious Scam!!!!!

I received a call from this number (male caller) but he wouldn't tell me where he was calling from.  Said he was calling regarding my Capital One Credit card and that my balance of $1000 something was just turned over to a collection agency.  I told him that's impossible because I don't have a Capital One Credit card, I pay in full each month and don't carry a balance on the one I do have...and I refused to tell him what I had.  He kept asking me to verify my SSN...four times he asked.  And I told him each time I'm not giving him that info.  He verified my name again but this time he use an incorrect middle initial whereas the first time he just asked for me by my first and last name.  I then told him that wasn't my middle initial, I refuse to give him any info, and told him goodbye and hung up.  If that doesn't smell like a scam I don't know what does.

I have received calls from this number on non published home number and cell number asking for a name i can not pronounce. When i ask how they got the numbers they say they can not disclose that information. They say they are calling from Jamaica and they are a financial company. They say they will remove my number and yet they continue to call.

My family member was getting calls from this number and they stated they were attempting to verify information on her Capital One Mastercard, which they do not have.  After several attempts at obtaining more information from females answering the number, they would always hang up on me.  They stated the name of their company was Alliance One.  I requested that they fax contact information to my police department so I could follow up with Capital One Bank on the complaints we received.  This is an obvious scam and I will follow up with the NYS Attorney General's office.

I've gotten so many calls from this number and others similar to this one that I just programmed a custom ring into my cell phone. Now when these rip off scammers call the phone rings on silent. Much easier than hitting the ignore button and finding myself irritated at their persistence.

It really is Alliance Company... (capital ones collection dept)... so if this number is calling you they are trying to collect a debt.  They do have several numbers (866) so if they are asking for someone and its not you then someone used your number or there is an error.  If they are relly asking for you by name then you have some sorta Capital One card.  If you know for a fact that you have never had this card < then you need to go and check your credit report for ID theft ( someone used your SSN and info to open a acct).  But seriously if they are calling they are bill collectors and your info or number was used.  Try and talk to them to figure it out.  BUT NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR INFO , THEY SHOULD KNOW IT ALREADY.

This number has called me 3 times this week. The caller ID said "TELEMARKETING". Of course i'm not going to answer. But i reported it to the NAtional "DO_NOT_CALL LIST" after the fisrt call. I don't believe thet the government really makes an effort to enforce these laws.
