Repeated calls come in from this "unknown company" every day on my pre-paid cell phone.  These illegal and annoying calls are eating up my "emergency" airtime minutes and the calls just won't stop.

I called this number today to see who was trying to contact me.  My call was immediately answered by an automated call center and I was left on hold for the next 2 minutes and 39 seconds.  Once a "live person" answered the call, the unidentified representative said he would remove me from their calling list *IF* I gave them my telephone number first. At no time would this company, the message center or their representative identify who "they" were...

Recently, I had a similar situation happen with my house phone and yes, I was stupid enough to fall for it.  Within a day, my phone was ringing almost nonstop from "unknown", "private" and "out of area" calls. I work from home and it's incredible how much time is spent by picking up and then immediately hanging up on these calls (just to stop the phone from ringing).

Although I can subscribe to Call Intercept via my land line service provider, why should I be forced to pay for a service to prevent calls that shouldn't occur in the first place?

As of 2007, each of my telephone numbers have been on the National Do Not Call Registry.  The telemarketing calls keep coming in.  I was informed today by one company rep. that "survey calls" (a.k.a. an attempt to disguise a sales call) were not technically telemarketing calls so the Do Not Call Registry does not apply to them.

These so-called survey calls are just another form of telemarketing.  These shyster companies state they're complying with the law simply because they use a different terminology to define their tactics.

This is Juniper Bank or Barclays (Same company) collection department.  They will call 100s of time each day and it is an automated person directing you to call their customer service.  No one is even on the line.  No point in answering.  No point in calling their customer service since they are barely literate and cannot understand any of your questions on your account.

This number keeps calling my husband's phone at work and his cell.  I've tried calling, got someone who could barely speak English, then they transferred me to an automated line that gave me "all the greatest and latest" options for whatever the company is for, finally I hit 00000000000 and got an automated line saying "Thank you for calling Barclay's, please enter the extension you're looking for.  I want to change the number on our account page but they want those three numbers on the back of the card, I don't have the card! no 3 little numbers!  When I try to call another support number, got someone with a mexican accent.  No Understand English I was told.

Juniper bank from hell.  They call non-stop just like a previous comment said.  Even if you have pre-scheduled payments.  It borders on harrassment and would like to know if anything can be done.  I guess removing my # from the account is the only way.

this is the worst company on earth if you like to sleep while your phone is set on vibrate for calls from work.  I have waged a small personal war on this bank.  I have some information that might be helpful.  They are not a survey company,  this is an information collecting company.  They then sell your information, or profit in some way.  They are making money.  When you call back by god don't give your real name the last 4 digits of any federal number.  If you ask for the mailing address of the company you might as I did get the name berclays bank in  virginia.  Wilmington virginia has never heard of them for the record.  The call in my case seems to be coming from the phillipenes.  I am on the nation do not call list because of this company.  The fraud by this company from over seas is hurting american interests.  If anyone in Barak Obama's economic task force is privy to this comment, your work is being undermined by this company, as I will be forced to 1. never do any banking online again, 2 never give any information again.  I have a limited contact point and given my situation have come to the conclusion this company whether from virginia the phillipenes or anywhere, has direct information from the Bank of America.  Either the bank of America is Chicago I go to PERSONALLY. Or the National Bank of America telephone number I called given the information they had to poise an attack on me to get more.  I would be very interested in communicating with anyone of you who receive these calls so we can cross reference any similarities in our lives, to determine the point my information and yours was given to a bank with no physical address in the united states.  I am not talking about a picnic. My misspelling in this comment are devised to show you what I think of the location of my early morning wake up calls. Good luck to you all, as it seems we must do this ourselves for our countries economic recovery.  I did have a tiff with bank of america mere hours before i received the first call.  I need a nuclear missile.
