They persist in calling so I'm starting to leave long non-sensical messages on their recordings at various hours of the day, several times a day. They are such a bother that I figure it's time to fill up their phone with gobbledygook. I think they got my name from the hospital where I was treated for breast cancer.  So I use them to unwind and relieve stress. Not even English sometimes.  Just noise. Now that I think of it, maybe they need to know about Jesus.  Next call, I will tell them.

I cant not believe ACS has not been shut down..they expect staff 2 use aggressive tactics and pull on heart strings of the elderly and poor...they have paid ALOT of fines but 12/12, ACS is still violating at least the do not call list...told and given script to solicit people @ work...i guess when u have money u can do what u want...at least 3 state attoney general offices have went after  ACS...I think they should be more aggredsive with their endeavors...flood your state attorney general office, ask ACS to take u off ALL list, speak with maagement, write down the name and time of the person you spoke to....there is alot of SHADY stuff going on, at ACS....management is high off good stuff, managers have stolen credit card info from donors, icould go on forever...but I am just going to look for a new job ACS should be shut down...I am really shocked at the history of company since 2008 to present...

The breast cancer assistance fund called me for a donation..   When I said I would not donate until I checked  their credentials,    she ended the conversation. They are on a long list of :SPAM callers... Do NOT send  anyone any money until you check them out!

So glad I check this place out by reading all of your posts.  Scam!

I received a call reminding me that I had pledged $10 at the end of September. She said this was the last day of the drive and wanted me to give either my debit or credit card to make sure the transaction could be completed today. I told her I don't give card numbers over the phone. She then said I could read the check number off of the check to her and they could process it without check in hand. I said no. She then said to send in the check asap.  I asked her for the address to send to because I didn't have the donation slip anymore.  There was quiet on her end of the phone.  I said "Hello".  She said her computer screen just went down.  I said, "What is your address for me to send to?"  She said she would have to call me back.  She never did.  This is the LAST time I will "donate" over the phone.

Caller ID said 800 Service - I answered and the woman asked for my wife - I told her she had the wrong number - then she asked for me by name and I told her again she had the wrong number. She said "I don't think so". I could hear it was a call center with all the background noise, so I hung up.

These people called me during dinner.  I saw the toll free listing and did not pick up.  From all the other comments on here it looks like I made the right choice.  I'm also on the national no call list, and wish that the regulations on these callers could be changed.  If they only give 1% of the money they receive to charity, where is the rest of the money going?  Probably right into their bank accounts.

Called at dinner time, first woman said she was asking for donations to the Breast Cancer Support Fund. Could I pledge $30. $40, or $50? I said $30 to keep her talking. She happily blessed me and then put me on the line to a second woman, who wanted to verify my mailing address. I gave her a bogus address, and then she asked if it was debit or credit?  I said neither, and she also blessed me and said the pledge would be in the mail and I had only a few days to send it back.

Next time, I will let the machine answer....

Rcvd a call from this number (866.825.2728).  I answered the call with Hello and a very rude lady on the other end responds with "Do you speak ENGLISH?".  I hung up the phone and called the number back and a recording answered stating it was the Cancer Support Foundation.

I just got a call from this same number and basically this is the run down of the call...asked me if I was Mrs. (something) the name was of person/people that used to have my number.  Told her this wasn't their number anymore and she went on and said that was okay they were trying to reach everyone....

She said she was with AC something, a professional fund raising organization raising funds for Breast Cancer Support Foundation, a non-profit which helps with breast cancer costs like rent and utilities for those with breast cancer.  She went on about how she wouldn't be doing her job if she didn't send me a pledge card.  I said no, I live on disabiltiy.  She went on to say, I don't want to take anything away from you or your family but there are thousands of young women out there living with and facing this disease, cancer.

I couldn't do anything more than to just hang up on the call.  I am on a no call list and yet these telemarketers just keep calling.

Whenever you get these calls asking to donate money to a charity, the first question you should ask is, how much goes to the charity. They have to tell you, and don't be suprised to hear less than 10%.
If they tell you 80% or higher, than it is probably a legit company.

I used to work at this place for over 2 years. Was a struggling college student taking care of myself with no help from anyone as my mother passed away and my father & I have always had a strained relationship since their divorce. I'm letting you all know this to humanize the people who you all speak to. I worked here to keep food on my table and a roof over my head. While I agree some of the company's practices are not right, they are unfortunately perfectly legal. I can understand you all being upset but keep in mind please that NO ONE aspires to be a telemarketer and you have to do, what you have to do. At the time, I.was living in Michigan and the economic climate is terrible. Jobs are hard to come by unfortunately, but ACS is the only option for lots of people. I have now graduated and am currently in graduate school and left acs, but i just wanted to let you know that we are people with real feelings. Why would you say twlemarketers need to die? Or answer the phone screaming and being rude to someone who was totally polite to you? There are many days I left work in tears and I always felt genuinely ashamed of what I was doing, but I felt I had no other choice. So, please. Have a.little mercy on the people you speak to if theyre nice. No one WANTS to interrupt your dinner or our kids' bedtime. The computer dials your number automatically, your info literally just pops onto our screen. In ky opinion, calls should stop at 730, but thy can legally call until 9

The first time I got a call from "Breast Cancer SUPPORT Foundation" was lat Spring, three days after I made my mammmogram appointment. Person had my full name and said was sure I'd be interested in their cause of education, support etc. I asked where got my # and she said "the State Directory". I was already thinking there was some connection to my HMO because  months before I got a call from the Diabetese Services fraud Org. a week after I picked up a prescription from a very odd clerk at their Pharmacy. Coincidence? I tipped them off, with details, . Today I get another call this time from Breast Cancer SURVIVORS Foundation, same spiel, I asked where got the #. "State Directory- asked what is that- "It's a Directory"- "who publishes it??" "Not the phone company" Who does??? I don't know. Who does know?? I don't know. There is someone who knows what this is and I want to speak to them. I got someone who told me a first name, I asked- got an  incredible runaround-  Finally  "It's an Internet Phone Book, a 411 number- explained to me what an Information # was- ha ha, then said they "give the name and get the number "  I said how do you have the name?? and he said my first and last name and the street address. I was frreaked- he said "only way you would not get called was if you had an unpublished number- I said where did you get names and he said" We get them all over-theyre called leads. I said take that name off your list, he called me by that name and said they'd be glad to- Iam creeped out.

I'm with all of you that just hang up whenever a toll free number pops up with no name on caller id.  My whole family is instructed to immediately push talk then end whenever we get calls like that.  When the kids were a little younger, if they dared to answer the call, they had to handle the call.  Trained them quickly.  Family understands that it is okay to immediately hang up on any calls that have toll free or no name attached.  Wish it would help, but scammers and telemarketers will continue to call even if we tell them not to.  So, it's just easier on my family to do the above. I don't waste my breath speaking to any of them.  I will do as a previous post stated and log a complaint with this boggus company with the do not call website.

Many of these calls are made by a computer.  They want to know the best time to reach a human so the computers call our phones and auto hang up.  Once they have the data as to when it is most likely to reach you, the minimum wage dummies call you.  Just got a call from this number now.
