I have been contacted by this company regarding an emploment offer made to me.  All of the above comlplaints are very accurate and applicable to my current experience.  I understand the need for a background check in my line of work. But either the hiring company should do the check themselves or out source it to a legitamate, professional company.  3 days in a row I have been asked to provide first wmployment verification from my employer then the next day, 13 year old paycheck stubs ad w-2s.Then the next day a w-2, or 1099 from another employer I worked at briefly.   I sent as much as I have, and feeling a bit uneasy doing so.  I have told the HR rep who is my contact each and every time theses requests are being mad.  I have read lots of bad reviews on this company.  They are either based in the Phillipines or maybe India.  They hava an Oklahoma area code when they call.  BEWARE!!

The WORST company EVER,  I have had to deal with these morons twice in 3 years.  Both times they claim to have sent out paperwork for drug testing which I never received.  The hiring company sent a request for an extension and still nothing.  When you call and if you can get thru they have uneducated, rude people handling the calls.  I DETEST HireRight and firmly believe they should be out of business.  Lazy uneducated morons!

HireRight is a joke!  Except the joke is on you, if you got offered a job and they jerk you around.  Not funny at all.

They do allot of thier work in Inida.  So, if you are being interviewed for a job, and you sign a form that says "HireRight," there is a chance your personal data is going to a place where there is practically no  privacy protectin.  Good luck!

Worst company ever.  They won't pick up their phone to deal with the mess that they create themselves.  I found they only way to deal with them is to have the HR person that is handling your hire lean on them hard.  Magically they start working very quickly and efficiently for the HR person (the one that pays their bills.)  Even if you have an extension to reach a case worker they wont pick their phone.  I have called from multiple numbers including a google phone and they still wont pick up whether it is 6AM or 4PM.  I can't believe Fortune 500 companies rely on such a s***ty service.

Hang up call at 5:19 am after ringing several times. Call back at 5:31 am with only one ring this time. No person either time.

just got a call from these people asking if I do intl. money transferts. I just hang up. this is spam phone calls.

HireRight. They do pre-employment screening. They kinda suck. Well, they majorly suck. My former boss had to call them back several times to get thru to them to answer their request. They let their phones ring for a long time, all have middle eastern names (so I wonder if outsourced to India?) and they are idiots. They stopped investigating me because the date i reported starting my MBA was different from the date my school reported (I ommitted the time for my "pre-MBA" prerequisite classes that took a year to complete). It took them 24 hours to acknowldege receiving my transcripts that I emailed to them and the email explained the date issue. They failed to input that they actually resolved the issue with my former employer. So they pretty much suck. Good luck if dealing with them!!!

I got a call from a Wesley - left on voice mail saying he wanted to verify employment information on a former employee. Gave his extension and said to leave him a mesage with start and end date, job title, salary and my name and title.  I forwarded to our HR but I will not call and leave anything along this line on a voice mail...

HireRight is the worst company known to humankind.  They are supposed to preform background screening.  But if any of your dates regarding school, prior employment, etc., don't exactly match, their highly automated system kicks your file out and then you got a lot of explaining to do... and errors can occur from anything as innocent as date rounding errors.

When there is a discrepancy, they don't investigate.  Their automated system cannot handle it.  They call you and ask for ridiculous s**t like 10 years of back paycheck stubs.  I certainly don't keep that.  Chances are, if you do dig up the data you are looking for, Haji will lose it anyway.

In the meantime, your employer is wondering what the heck is going on and pushing back your start date.  I cannot believe the crap HireRight gets away with consider the lack of any customer service whatsoever and the insane amount of money they are billing their clients.  HireRight is a scam!
