I have not received any letters that I recall from Mitchell N Kay or Michell and Kay but I have received a couple of phone calls from this number.  They call when I'm not home and since I don't have an answering machine they can't leave a message.  

I just called to see who would answer the phone and the person identified the company as Plaza Recovery.  I don't recall any other communications from a company of that name.  No telling who they really are.

They keep calling for someone named Jennifer. I just moved 15 days ago, and therefore i got a new number. so i definately have not updated my contact information. everyone that has my info has my cell phone number not my home phone number which i only use for work that i do as a call center. so therefore they need to stop calling me, and they go into detail of asking you do you know this person, and mention there name or go into another question of im sorry for the misunderstanding i will go ahead and stop calling. i have to remind them to remove me off the calling list.

Not sure why it mattered that the Pissed Off Lady was a Black person, but she was rude as hell!

got a call this morning say that they are going to take me to court. I have no ideal who this person is....

I haven't been able to stop the calls yet and because this is some automated system, it doesn't look like I will. After reading some nasty blogs about Mitchell N. Kay and some of their capabilites, destroying credit, freezing accounts along with the persistance of this recorded message, I decided to call them up and use the reference number they gave me. I wanted to see what this was about. The call went something like this:

ME: Yes, I keep getting called by you guys about some kind of debt, I have a reference number.
PISSED OFF BLACK LADY: What is the refence number?
ME: 92whatever something.
POBL: For security purposes can I get the last four digits of your social security number?
ME: Why don't you tell me what this is about first?
POBL: I can't until I get your social security number.
ME: I'm not giving you my social security number. I think something is wrong because I don't have any debt, my credit cards don't even carry a balance.
POBL: Okay we can fix that if I can just get your...
ME: But I'm not giving my social security number to you.
POBL: I have it right here anyway and I just need you to verify it.
ME: Well, why don't you tell me what it is and I'll tell you if you're right.
POBL: I can't give out other people's information.
ME: Well, how do I even know this is about me?
POBL: Can I get your home address?
ME: No, tell me what you have there.
POBL: 44 Applewood drive...

STOP TAPE  Didn't she just say she can't give out other people's information?
ROLL TAPE

ME: No, that's not my address ...not even close.
POBL: Well, if I get the last four of your social security number...

STOP TAPE Do you folks know what damage can be done to your accounts and credit with only the last four digits of your social security number? Careful giving out that stuff to people you don't know ESPECIALLY proven scamists like Mitchell N. Kay. I'd like to note that at this point she hasn't even asked my name ...just the last four of my social security ...red flag!
ROLL TAPE

ME: Look, I gave you the reference number and it doesn't have my address attached to it...
POBL: But if I just get your number I can...
ME: That ain't hapnin'
POBL: Well call back when you're ready to give us your social security number.
ME: But I'm never giving you my social security number.
POBL: Then we will continue to call you.
ME: Okay!
POBL: Bye!

So basically the high-tech automated system at Mitchell N. Kay will continue to harrass me about someone else's debt.

If I'm calling back with a reference number that is the only information I should be giving them to get any sort of mix-up like this rectified. I don't need to tell them where I live, certainly not any part of my social security number, my birthday, mother's maiden name, favorite color ...nothing.

received a call at 10:03 today from Mitchell & Kay attourneys from new york city 1866 837 4873 tried to get information from me and asked if i was hose garcia and plainley told him to flake off and have a nice day .
