Got the same letter promising 2 free round trip tickets. Number 1-866-646-0109 signed by
Joanne Cane Number at bottom KB-40281 from Phoenix AZ dated Aug 6th 2012. My husband is a mail handler at the USPS so I will have him take it into work. I wish we could stop these stupid people, I just feel bad for the people who actually believe this. Nobody gives you anything for free!!

Well I had to check this letter out. I knew what it was but called any way. Some guy named Patrick answered and explained that it was a wholesale travel company looking for new suckers, oops I mean clients......Same old garbage. Patrick? was that his name? hmmm.......What a waste of mailcarriers time....

I received the same letter. Has anyone heard anything since about this like how they got our information?

So glad I found this site! I got the same letter and got super excited at the idea of 2 free tickets. BUT the feel of the paper, the look of the logo, etc. seemed entirely too cheap for a VP's stationary. A little more investigation found this:
http://www.fodors.com/community/air-travel/us ... icationscam.cfm
I'm glad you looked this up instead of calling!
not fooled 2012-06-06 14:41:58 Unknown
same thing- hand addressed to me in Chicago, from Denise in Arizona, won 2 tickets from this obviously bogus company. quill forward it to the attorney general.

I just received the letter today and called because I wanted to see what kind of scam this was... Ryan picked up the phone and said that a local agency had just opened for business and wanted publicity. That the airline was providing complimentary vouchers. He asked for my name since the letter was addressed to my husband and continued to ask questions such as age range and income range.. At this point I went off on him and hung up.... So pathetic.. Don't let them fool you...

I just got it today 6/4/12 and is the same scam. Were could we repot this? Cheap fotocopy and hand written address on outside of envelope. Signed by a "Denise Cale" too with the 1-866-841-2027 number.
Jamie 2012-06-04 22:51:37 Unknown
Got the same thing.... I'm very confused as to why anyone would spend thousands to scam people. $.45/stamp... idiots! Also, funny that the letter was dated May 26th, the stamp dated May 31st, and they had been trying multiple times to contact me??? Their loss! Plus, wouldn't you think a VP of an airlines would have a LinkedIn profile????
Pete 2012-06-04 22:39:19 Unknown
Yup, In Chicago same letter, hand addressed.
Worst Scam Ever! 2012-06-04 22:13:25 Unknown
This "letter" is laughable! My wife just received one and it is a very poor effort, to say the least! You almost get the feeling that some dope got their hands on people's address info and thought it would be pretty slick to try and rip them off....but mid-way through they got fed up and lazy but figured they couldn't stop because they had already bought all the stamps!

I also got the same US Airlines letter for 2 roundtrip airline tickets from Denise Cale, and I live near Boston.
FLORIDA TOO 2012-06-04 19:51:24 Unknown
I got the same letter in ORLANDO FL... and the number is 1-866-841-1987... NOT calling it... just passing on the SCAM info..
Hope some people learn NOT to fall for these criminals.
I do not need to fly to Orlando! I live 20 miles from Disney, 10 from Universal, and 5 from SeaWorld... I generally stay away from those places.

I received the same letter saying I qualified for an award of 2 round trip airline tickets. It's also signed by a Denise Cale, VP of US Airlines. Scam.
Chicago 2012-06-04 14:28:15 Unknown
I also got the letter who is looks so so unprofessional, mine was from Denise cale from Arizona too. I hate that they can do this thru our usps, it;s a scam and also going to report, they do these things because some people really believe and do as they are asked. c/c , send cash and most are seniors because they are so trusting (my parents) i worry about mostly
rigedy 2012-06-03 15:25:07 Unknown
same here....but i received it to my sisters house....i NEVER wrote her address down on anything....and the logo is obviously fake also...but i'm gonna call just for entrainment purposes....i think we all should call and act interested then hang up right when they think they got the sale....
minnie 2012-06-03 02:36:55 Unknown

This scam must be going around the country! I live in Indianapolis, IN . -- received the same letter saying I had "qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip airline tickets with value up to $1,298.00." The phone number I should call is 1-866-841-1993. No way, Jose! I will NOT call that number!
Mark 2012-06-02 22:47:37 Unknown
I just rec's the same letter and Googled the phone number to find this blog... looks shady! I also reside in Chicago. Thank you to the "Sm" above who forwarded it to the officials because someone has to stand up for unsuspecting people.
Joe 2012-06-02 17:59:22 Unknown
I got one of these, looks like a phishing scam. Throw it away.
Summer 2012-06-02 12:13:10 Unknown
We just got the same thing and we live just outside of Chicago in the suburbs. Can't find any information on the person or the number. What a scam!
Esmeralda 2012-06-02 11:41:31 Unknown
I just received the exact same letter... If you search on line you will see that this scam has been around since 2009... The company name is us airways, NOT us airlines!
nancy 2012-06-02 11:38:19 Unknown
Same...sent to me in Chicago also, no return address, fake logo. So obviously a scam. I tried to google her in arizona to get an address with the phone number, no luck. I will be reporting it.
Andy 2012-06-01 22:34:06 Unknown
I just received the same letter. I live in Chicago and the letter was sent from Arizona with no return address. This totally looks like a scam. Hopefully no old people are scammed.
It looks really unprofessional so you'd have to be pretty stupid to fall for it.
Sm 2012-06-01 22:01:27 Unknown
Same thing with me. I'm going to forward my letter to the attorney general, FTC, etc. I'm sure this is a scam and hopefully someone can look into it. Mine was signed by Denise Cale, Vice President, USAirways. Yeah right.
Nolan 2012-06-01 19:26:14 Unknown
not known if phone calls came from this number
Sent a solicitation letter in snail mail from "U.S. Airlines" (no such company exists) with no return address. Letter says we have won 2 round trip airline tickets, worth up to $1,298.00
says call this number: 1-866-841-2027
but I did not call this number
