I got a call from this number. A certain Dan Bartino informed me that he was calling to collect on a debt for a "broken lease" at an apartment that I still live in and am paying rent on regularly. He actually had at least the last 4 of my social and the address which freaks me out. I said it wasn't mine. Is anyone else having this issue? I'm reporting it to the police and to the FTC.

Tried telling them no here by that name and to take number off and stop calling  Does no good so now the last and final time they called i had my fun .  I answered  " OH MY GOD IT'S DONE BUT THERE'S SO MUCH BLOOD EVERYWHERE  I HAVE TO GET RID OF THE BODY I NEED YOUR HELP "    That was 3 months ago im sure the caller is now in therapy no more calls

Got a call from this number once and then 3 local calls afterwards.

I've have gotten so many calls from this number and they said it from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau. Its a recorded message and I've called that number back. They wanted me to settle my account for the full 500$ today and they won't help me with any payment plans. hen I can hear them laughing in the background and I even heard one of the say She's so stupid!!!!! HOW RUDE!!!!!!

Got a total of 4 calls from them between 9am and 1pm.  Considering that my voicemail isn't even set up, and I had bought the phone and got a new number last night, needless to say they asked for someone else.  I informed them the first 3 times of the circumstance that I received the phone and number last night, they apologized and said my number would be removed from their auto-dialer.  I received that answer all 4 times, but on the 4th call I informed the collector that I wanted to speak to the supervisor.  Don't know if the person was actually one, but he apologized and let me know that the earlier callers should of let me know that it could take a couple of hours till the computer updates and stops dialing.

My problem with this isn't the fact that I received this call, but the fact that the calls came in at the same time every hour.  If I remember my state law (I don't have a clue about the Federal regulations) that continuing phone calls (even from debt collectors) over 3 calls per day is considered harassment unless in emergency situations.  And debt collecting isn't an emergency situation.  Got 15 mins till the time the next phone call would be coming in if the auto dialer didn't update, we'll see if they kept their word.

This number keep calling everyday!  This a collection company, that needs to stop calling me!!!!!

I recently updated my information with Sallie Mae and gave them my voice mail number. A month later I start getting phone calls from Mercantile adjustment bureau. They leave a message asking for me to call them for the last several months. Though I did all the proper papers with SallieMae showing I can not pay my loans right now, I get this bottom feeder debt collector. Sallie Mae has a copy of my tax return showing I dont make enough money.

I found out why they do it though, these private debt collectors get paid 2.00 everytime they call. It gets attached to my debt, which I can not afford to pay. They know this, so when I die, they will hit the government for it. This is happening to 10 million people who can not pay those loans either. If they want to lower the debt they should stop these debt collectors from calling when there is no hope of collecting.

I keep getting calls asking for someone who does not even live at my house and I don't have a relative by the name of Jason.  I tried to call back and the line is dead.  THey've called 3 days in a row and said if I am not Jason to disconnect the call.  I disconnect the call on my voicemail and they still call back.  I'm not Jason so stop calling.  It's aggravating.

I get these calls everyday. ive gotten them for someone i dont know and have never met, and ive gotten them from about 20 minutes after i got my number. ill answer the call, it gives me an automated message. i call the number back and ask them to stop calling me because i dont know said person and they hang up on me without another word.

They are supposed to be debt collectors, named MERCHANT TILES something I can't recall in detail. Not to mention, that they are very rude. they want the debt paid immediately. The funny thing is that like in my case if you have a debt of like $8,030 per say, they tell you to pay it, but if you can't, they drop the debt amount by like $2,000, then when I told her ("Pamela Moran") I can only do monthly payments, she started to talk about my credit, and again drop it another $1,500-$2,000. Finally, when i insisted on a monthly payment plan, she started to very, and when I say very, I mean VERY RUDELY interrupted me. Needless to say that, I got RUDE right back at her and hung up. I don't understand, what their problem is, but I'm going to get to the bottom of it.

This is an oinker called "Mercantile" - a debt collector.  A pretty good way of finding out about these numbers without giving away your ID is to use Skype or other free VOIP.  This is what I did, and these pigs answered "Mercantile".

I called the number 866-851-0083 back and a live person answered.  I told them I've been receiving calls everyday for a person that does not live here. She asked which number was being called to, and once I gave it to her she said the number has been removed and I will not receive any more phone calls. We'll see.

They call several times a day, playing a pre-recorded message.

Some British sounding bi*** claims to have a message for someone who has not lived at this place in several years.  There is no 'human' to talk to, so I can't even tell them to stop calling!
