got a text, anyone else get something about a job?

Hi, I got a text about a job too. I called it back and they asked me a few questions about a callcenter position I applied for a few days ago, making sure everything was right on my application. We found it was and they sent it off to the employer, I thought it was pretty nice that they took the time to make sure everything was perfect on my resume.

I received a text that read, "Hi ____ call me about the Entry Level Help Desk Job you have applied for 8668616123. (txt STOP to cancel)

I called the number back and they said they were going to forward my application to a confidential company.  I believe they said they were called Career Network.  They verified my address, phone number, age, and education.  According to the representative, they receive a high volume of applications for the position so they have to qualify the applicants prior to sending over the applications.

I just got a text from them. Anyone know if its valid or a scam?

I just got a text from this number. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not to call them back. They had my full name right and I have been applying for the position they mentioned. I would have felt better if they identified themselves.

I just got a text 3 minutes ago about a retail merchandiser job I applied for...haha!

This number is affiliated with Career Builder. An online jobsearch company. After you apply, you will receive a text from them if you chose that as a means of contact. They do a follow up check on your resume and ask if you are still seeking employment. Harmless and encouraging in my opinion.
