Global Acceptance..handles old Capital One Accounts.

This number is a couple(2) of guys calling with a scam, I actually got to talk to them and they said that they are a collection agency called Global Expressions (?). I looked that name up and it doesn't exist. They claim you by a phone number only, they claim I owe money from years ago, some how they got a hold of some private information and are trying to get me to pay or they say they will put it on my credit report. I called around to the places they said that were making the claims and they had no recollection of it.

I received a few calls and sent an e-mail complaint to: complaints@gacc.biz with a message-"I do not owe any debts to you and demand that you do not call ***-***-**** allegedly regarding account # ******. This is your first and only notice. Any further contact will precipitate a complaint to the regulators. Thank you for your attention."

Within a few hours I was surprised to receive this response:

"We have removed this phone number *** *** **** from our database. Thank you for alerting us that we were dialing the wrong number.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

I am crossing my fingers that I will get no further calls. Maybe this approach will work for you.

These people will NOT stop.  Who are they?  Why are they calling?  What in the world do they want?  It's ridiculous.

These people are calling for my EX brother in law daily.  I have been divorced from his brother for almost ten years.  I have told them repeatedly to stop, but shockingly enough they don't.  I pay my bills on time to avoid any such phone calls and this is what I get at dinner time.

They are  also using peoples cell numbers
So they cannot always be traced.
I kept getting calls from diff
States from a guy who uses the
Name mr. Lee. Got four calls
Traced to Florida.

They continue to call asking for someone else.  Very aggravating.  What can be done to stop this?

This company calls on a daily basis looking for someone other than me on my cell phone they will not stop calling evan after you tell them they have the wrong number.

They have been calling me on my cell phone for over a year now, they used to leave a message looking for an Arlene Johnson, I have answered them or returned call telling them that I do not know that person and it is a cell phone number they are calling, but they just do not stop calling my cell phone. They call at least twice a week.

They call me at least 3 times a day every day.  They've recently started calling me from an unknown number.  I've told them many times that I am not the person they are looking for, but they keep calling.

Yep, me too--I blocked this number on my call block and then they've called on other lines (2598) and I just keep blocking those calls too! I figure eventually, I'll hit all of their lines!!! ;)

This company keeps calling me for my mother pestering me to get her to call them. I'm usually not home & they clog up my answering service. I don't want to know if my parents have accounts in collection. It is none of mine or anyone else's business. I think something should be done as they should not be allowed to be telling out other peoples personal business!!

This number called me twice in a row one evening. Instead of ignoring it, I hung up on them both times (hit talk, then immediately hit end on the cordless). After that, I had no dial tone to any phone in the house for over an hour!

These idiots keep caLLING ME LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE. i KINDLY EXPLAINED TO THE LADY THAT i WASN'T WHO THEY WERE LOOKING FOR. bUT, THEY KEEP CALLING. wHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS!!!!!
