they call me from this #..have no idea who it is

Sorry, but you'll only make YOURSELF deaf.  That doesn't work, and hasn't worked since they showed it in silent films....

They keep calling here and asking for so-and-so.  

I usually say "he" is not here.

yeah i keep geting this number like once a week i dont know who they are i never pick up and when i called that # i hear someone saying pleaes wait till a rep. can take your calll then a chick names susan called and i did not say anything

I agree that it is a telemarketer who only knows that you own a specific type of car probably from the DOT Vin# records or something like that.  They have no idea what your mileage is on the car, if you still own it, or if you bought it new or used.  And yes, I do believe they want you to bring the car to some specific location so they can try and sell you something else even though I didn't give them a chance to go that far.

The phone call is from a third party that deals with car dealerships.  They called me and knew exactly what make and model I drove and apparently recieved the information from when I had my car serviced at the dealership recently.  They want to persuade you to go in and have your car appraised in the hopes you will be willing to trade it in for a new model.

These people are insane.  I have gathered they are out of Ohio and encourage people to notify the attorney general of the state of Ohio, and you can notify your local police, after which, you can let your phone company know, and with the authorization of the police, they can look into it.  These people doing this to bother people should be in prison.

They have called twice now in the past 2 days. I don't answer as I don't know who they are but they don't leave any messages.

They call every day or ever other day. I never answer and they never leave a message. I figure if it's important they'll leave a message otherwise it is telemarketing crap.

To get rid of these calls just set up a fax to call them 24-7. The fax keeps calling till it get a fax tone which it won't. Ties up any voice phone and works great.

I just called this number - Its definetely for Honda.  The gentleman I spoke with was insistent on telling me he has "something important to tell me".  I explained over and over again that I dont care and to please remove my number from the data base.  Its for sure a sales call.  Incredibly annoying.

I've gotten calls from this number. I never answer and they never leave a message. I called the number back and an automated voice says to please hold for the next rep. Spencer answered, a rep for John Eagle Honda...where I previously purchased my last car four years ago. He didn't need to ask me who I was b/c my number pulled up on his ID (I'm sure) and he knew who to ask for immediately. I haven't owned a car in over a year b/c I moved and don't need one. They call me almost every year or so, despite the fact it's been almost five years since I've done business with them. Does anyone know the statute of limitations?

I just started getting these calls for about three days now, no one says anything.

Keep a whistle with you and when you answer just blow it as hard as you can into your phone when they start talking.

just keeps calling, house phone, cell and at work

I get calls from this number several times a day wither it be early morning and even late into the afternoon.  The calls will not stop and they never leave a message. I am very irritated by this situation

Whoever this is calls everyday - it's so annoying.

This number: 1 866-887-7682 is calling me at least once a week, this Sunday 10/10/2009 at 2:35pm and no one will respond when asked whom is calling????It is irritating and costing me minutes that are literally wasted air time on my trac-fone......

i got this call also - it's from a company hired to do "surveys" of past customers of a car dealership (mine was a ford dealership) - want to "update" their records - and then proceed to give a trade/sale pitch. Didnt answer questions, told them not interested, asked them not to call. They can get ard telemarketing b/ i had done prior business with them.

I suggest that you report them to the federal "do not call" registry https://www.donotcall.gov/. I do this for anyone who sets up automated services. If you are trying to sell me something at least put a live body on the other line.
