We've received numerous cryptic and ambiguous calls from the number in which the caller does not identify themselves, but instead says that this is not a sales solicitor, but we must speak with, then they name both, my wife and myself,  regarding an important legal matter. They always call at odd hours, and we've never answered nor returned the calls, as we know from googling the number who the calls originate from and that they are some fly-by-night law shyster's legal office located in Houston, TX. that buys bad debt in quantity and then proceeds to harrass people to the ends of the earth trying to force payment to them for debts that they are not legally entitled to collect upon. They do not possess and original contract documents, and therefore, by law are not entitled to demand, nor receive and funds which they may claim are due them on any so-called debts owed by anyone. the proper way to deal with them is to send a written demand to them requesting to see the original contract showing the parties involved in any so-called default, including the original creditor. They most likely cannot produce said document, since they don't have it. But may, instead, attempt to get a judge to issue an alternate form of validation of any alleged debt, and this judgment can then be used by them to circumvent the proper legal actions required by giving them legal claims to which they are not entitled. Recommended response is to send written response challenging the debt and their right to claim collection upon it,  and to demand that their harrassment cease. Then, if it doesn't stop, to file a formal complaint for illegal collection harrassment activities by this business: Sam Streeter, PLLC, P.O. Box 420848, Houston, TX77242, ph. 866-892-4185.

Sam Streetr is vicious! My husband had an old credt card, balance about $3000. Sam Streeter ended up with it & my husband paid on it for 17 months. Two months ago they accessed our checking account without our permission. And took $100.00. We called and complained and they said they would not do it again. I went to use my debt card tonight and it was denied. I called the bank and was told that his company CASV of Colorado had seized our checking account. They took over $90O. We can't do anyting!!!! They took our money and we had been making monthly payments for almost a year and a half! DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

For those with a legitimate reason for stopping these calls...Want to stop these idiots from calling?  Do what they say!  Call them!  Only don't say anything, hang up on them!  Do it again, and again, and again, and again!  Once they see this happening they will call and be more appreciative of what you have to say.  Tell them why they should not call and that you expect your number to be removed immediately and forever, or you will continue this practice until they do.  It took two series of this to work for me...haven't heard from them in two weeks.  I told them the next time I would put them on an autodialer and call them every 5 minutes.  My legitimate purpose was they are trying to find my daughter who moved away from us years ago...they have no right to call me.  For those with legitimate debts, sorry, but you deserve all you get from these and anyone else who calls.

I have been receiving phone calls from these people for a while now. They just called me today and told me that they will be proceeding with the courts if I do not pay. They continued to yell and scream and me, after I said that I don't have the money. Then they said that it was going to more then double in fees after lawyer and court fees. This is after them calling all hours of the night, and after my fiance' answering saying that they were the state patrol calling and looking for me on a Saturday. They are very rude, and very unprofessional saying that I obviously cant take care of myself, and never been able to, after saying that I needed to call my parents NOW and borrow the money. I said hell no, I pay my own bills and I am not borrowing from anyone. Do NOT trust them!

In January of 2008, my wife received a threatning call from Michael Alexander with Gunn and Clark. Told her that they need to get in contact with me right away. She would not give them any information. He yelled at her and told her that we had better get a good attorney or we would loose everything we own. He left a clal back number of 866-892-4185
In May of 2008, we received another call from them. This time they left a message requesting a call back. The name left was Gina with the same number as above. She gave the extention at 237.

This company called Gunn & Clark called me, Brandon was the contact.  He called my BOSS at my company!!!! Said it was regarding a personal legal issue!! WOW!  I wonder what defense the company would provide for someone harrassing it's employees to get at other employees.  This can't be legal.

This company, with someone named Giovanna of Gunn & Clark Law Offices, called someone who I hadn't seen or spoken to in 13 years! The person couldn't get in touch with me for lack of a published number. But, he found the number of someone I know in my city and that person contacted me about it. They exchanged emails and the info was forwarded to me with the above-named person. The number given to call is 866-892-4185, Ext. 252. I thought it was the most bizarre thing to have someone I know call me and say, "Guess who called me....he couldn't find your number...is Gunn Clark or Gunn & Clark familiar to you?...he's sending me an email with the info from this Gunn & Clark." Since this was so bizarre, I googled Gunn & Clark and found this site. Thank you for confirming my suspicions.

They Called my Father Looking for me stating there going to retain my finances or something along that line.  Donny Hicks was the guy at the other end of the phone.

I also received a call from this number. They said they were an attorney. The threatened to access my checking account and take my SSI check and anything else I owned. They called my daughter and asked her personal questions about me,discussed the matters with her.She did not let them know. It came up on her caller ID, something TEXAS. He said his name was Bill Coralis. There also was an ext. number. Of course, I'm not going to call. I've been dealing with the rudeness and ignorance of these people for over three years. I've been humilated to the point of tears and wouldn't answer my phone for days. Now I am hiring a lawyer, through the internet I've found info on phone abuse and creditor abuse. They have stepped over the line one to many times.

I received a call from this number to my home phone which is unlisted and unpublished.  They stated they were with a Law Firm in Texas and needed information on a relative of mine.  I don't recognize the number nor the name.  I didn't return the call

ATTENTION, the people who have the ""Law Firm"" of ""Atorney"" Sam Streeter--are NOT Attorneys. They ARE a collection agency. I found this out after conversing with a person I know who is with the Better Business bureau here in town.

After my conversation, I then phoned The Attorney Generals offices, and made them aware of this fact. After this, I called the State Bar Association, and also made them aware of these ""people."" The final step I then took, was to file a complaint against them at: www.TXUPLC.org

I state factually again, that Sam Streeter and his business, is not a licensed Attorney nor is the company a Law Firm. These people are nothing but a Collection Agency.

I read a few snide remarks posted above by ""Brandon"" saying something about wanting to see people take responsibility and pay their bills. That's fine and dandy but, ""Brandon"" also failed to mention that sometimes, mistakes can be made and the wrong person with the exact same name as the person they are looking for, is the person who is being wrongfully harassed.

Sam Streeter and none of his employees, are Lawyers and or Licenced Lawyers. They are lying to people misleading them and scaring some people into paying those collection fees. If anyone is interested? I am in the talking stages of perhaps filing a law suit against Sam Streeter and his cohorts for not only for harassment but for passing themselves off as Lawyers and lying to people. The Law Firm I will be using might be: Thomas J. Henry of Corpus Christi, Texas. Some reasons why I might decide in hiring this person and his Law Firm to handle my case are because he has already had prior experiance in handling cases of people who have been passing themselves off as Lawyers-the recent case in point was against a person by the name of Mauricio Celis (SP?) who not only passed himself off as a Lawyer but also as a member of Law Enforcement. Celis is currently fighting these charges in Court, and not doing a very good job of it.
