Called my house this morning at 8:27 a.m.  I was still half asleep so I let voice mail pick it up.  A pre-recording came on (no name given) that said they were calling about an overdue debt and to call back this number and use this reference number.  We paid all our debts in the past on time and are all up to date with on our current bills so I was immediately suspicious.  It turned out to be some company called NCO Financial Systems Co.  I researched them and found **TONS** of online horror stories on how they harass people for debts folks never even incurred, debts that were already paid years ago, debts that are several years beyond the statute of limitations for collection, etc. Even if you don't owe anything, I also read where this company tries to get as much private information on you as possible and then uses it to file false court documents, take money out of your account without your permission, etc. It even got to the point where they were found guilty by the courts for deceptive practices and charged hefty fines for violating federal law!  I decided to called my husband at work so he could call them back and set them straight.  When he called, he found out they were looking for a Walter Martins.  He explained no one lived here by that name, we don't even know a Walter Martins, and to please stop calling our private, unlisted number.  NCO said they would put him through to someone there who could help him.  But all my husband got the runaround from person to person and the matter never did get resolved.  The last person he talked even demanded to know my husband's social security number after my husband identified himself and explained NCO had the wrong phone number for Walter Martins. When he asked NCO why they needed his social security number if he wasn't Walter Martins, the rep said he couldn't help him unless my gave him his social! WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS PROCEDURE IS THAT?!?  Apparently, NCO Financial IS STILL DOING these low-life practices that it was accused and found guilty of.  DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!!!

Called my work cell phone looking for my husband.

Called at approx 10:40 AM on 2/4/12 and asked for me by name. He asked me to verify my name and address. I asked who he was and who his company represented. He replied, 'That's a private matter" and when asked what business he had with me, he said, " that's private". I gave him no information. This is NCO Financial Services, a debt collector. I owe no debt that i am aware of.

I received 2 voice mails on 2 different ocassions on my cell phone from from 866-894-0261.  They are a debt collection agency called NCO Financial Systems Debt Collection.  I owe no debt !!  Watch out for this scam !!
