They have been calling a many times and did not leave any messages. Finally I was able to pick up the phone and the man asked me if I could help with mailing solicitations to my neighbors. I told him I was not interested in doing that and that I tried it once and did not like it because I don't want to impose on my neighbors. I asked him to take me off their computer list otherwise I will report them to the proper authorities and he agreed. It looks like all the displaced solicitors are now employed by charities.

Today, I called the number that was on the caller i.d. and a recorded voice identified the company as the American Red Cross. I was given an option to get more information by pressing 1. I did that and listened to the recorded speech. At the end of it, I was given an option to remove my phone number from their list. I did that too and it said my number would be removed within 30 days. I guess I can stand another months of seeing their number on my caller i.d.

Received call but did not answer.  No message on answering machine.  I am on no-call list.

Got a call from this number and when they asked "Is this Mrs. Crawford?"  I said yes and they asked "Is Mr. Crawford there?" When I said no I asked if I could take a msg and they said "No, I'll call back later"

I can't wait!  I am going to scare the begeezus out of them with the following dialogue: "Quien habla?!! Que quieres, pinche madre! Vale mas que no hablas aqui porque te voy darte un golpe en tu cabeza!"

Translation: "Who's calling!!!  What do you want, MOFO?  You better not call here because if not I'm gonna whack you upside the head!"

No money for these tactics.  They don't stop when asked.  If they did, I might give them money when I have some to spare.  Right now their constant harassment during a time in my life when I am flat broke will certainly be remembered when I finally get back on my feet.

They probably harass people with cancer too.

We are also on the DO NOT CALL NUMBER, if they can't be identified on my call ID I don't answer.  It gets frustrating when my phone is being tied up by some unidentified call.

I have gotten many calls lately.  All hours, daytime and evening & Sunday. There is never a message left.  The name shows as 800 Service.

I have never answered the calls from this number.  My 3 year old daughter answered one afternoon and when I took the phone away it was a lady who got me to accept a package, to stuff envelopes and then for me to provide the stamps and mail them out to MY neighbors!  It was from the American Cancer Society.  I agreed to do it but have never received the package from them.  But after agreeing with them they still keep calling my home...

I am on the "do not call list" and am getting calls and no message on machine and if I answer they don't talk. I am getting fed up and would like for it to stop. Anyhting I can do about it?

Got numerous calls from this number.866-897-2980 for weeks now.  What happened to the DO NOT CALL LIST?

On the do not call list.... got this call multiple times.

They have called me 10 times in the past three days. I don't know how to make them stop!!! I too am on the No Call list.

Have received 3 of these calls in last 5 days.  I did redial, someone answered and I was told it was a cel phone #.  I told her do not call again.  Just received another call today Feb.26, about 30 min. ago.

Got call, did not answer, saw it on caller ID. They left no message.

I got another call later that night. It was someone from the American Cancer Society asking me to collect money from my neighbors.

Continually seeing this number on caller ID, never leave a message.  Turns out the reverse is the American Cancer Society again.  They called us 11 times during the course of 2 weeks a month back to collect money from our neighbors.  We told them then to remove our name and stop bothering us - alas it is starting all over again!!

This number came up on my caller ID as a Toll Free number.  I did not answer the phone and the answering machine came on.  The man on the other end of the line said my name twice and the machine recorded his voice, then when he figured out that it was a machine he hung up.  I do not like callers that will not Identify who they are on the caller ID and I do not like when they will not leave a message saying who they represent.  If this number appears again, I WILL NEVER answer it!!!
