I got two calls at around 4:00 a.m. from this number. I checked on it and others have reported spam calls from this number.

Since upgrading to a new iPhone on January 1st, 2012, we have been absolutely BOMBARDED with spam calls from Rogers. I mean -- what's the sense? What's the purpose? We paid for a new 3-year term, bought a new phone. Why do they continue to call us even after we've complained three times already in this new year to Rogers?

They will NOT remove us from their call lists. They keep telling us to check our marketing permissions (which have been configured properly for years). Last year, during September and October, we got THIRTY phone calls from them on both our home number and our mobile number -- always refusing to take no for an answer, sometimes hanging up on us.

Unfortunately, we're locked into a 3-year term but I swear that come January of 2015, we will NEVER use Rogers again. Thank you Rogers. You've made absolute fools out of yourselves with your neanderthal marketing tactics. Sell, sell, sell.

I finally filed a complaint with the CRTC this morning.

The calls always come from:

Now they're instant messaging us - absolutely relentless marketing techniques. I guess business must be pretty poor these days. We get it three ways now:

- marketing calls on our home telephone number
- marketing calls on our cell phone number
- marketing by SMS on our cell phone

Would YOU buy a cell phone and a contract from this company? Over 30 times now in the course of just one month, this company has literally harrassed us to no end. They won't stop no matter how many times we call them to ask to be removed from their marketing lists. Logging on to rogers.com and changing our marketing permissions hasn't done us an ounce of good in 18 months. Contract luckily runs out next month. Goodbye Rogers.

To add insult to injury, what happens - they call us AGAIN today on our home phone number. I called them back and asked them to remove us from their call list ONCE AGAIN and what happens? The telemarketer hangs up on me half way into the conversation. Click. Gone. So I called Rogers Customer Service and they have NO RECORD of this number but will only go as far as to say that this MAY be a third party company hired by Rogers (it is - a rude yankee outfit in the USA). Unbelievable. I told Rogers that I will be cancelling my service with them as soon as my partner gets back from his trip and I will be doing that. We've been a Rogers customer for over 10 years, since back in the Cantel days. Never have we been able to successfully remove our numbers from their telemarketing lists no matter how hard we've tried. Neanderthal, relentless marketing tactics. Anyone reading this - don't use Rogers. Go with Telus or someone else. Times must be tough for the big "R" if they have to resort to calling us 30 TIMES within ONE month.

After asking to be removed from the call list on October 8th, what happens? Yet another call today from Rogers at 866-909-2771. I'll bet you without a word of exaggeration that they have called us at LEAST 30 times in the last 6 weeks. On both our cell and home numbers. Telus here we come. This is absolute insanity. The most aggressive, persistent and relentless marketing campaign I've seen in the 21st century.

By the way, this DOESN'T work - the company won't honor your requests since their system is so badly screwed up. We've been trying for years and years to UNSUBSCRIBE from all marketing and nothing works. They are relentless:

This is Rogers (cell phone provider) calling repeatedly. Absoulte, relentless neanderthals calling about "special offers". They are spamming our cell number and our home number. It is nothing more than a sales pitch to get you to sign up for a data plan. Our contract expires at the end of the year. I've had enough Rogers Marketing experiences to do me for a lifetime. I will be signing up with Telus in December. Screen this number out on your phone as they do not honor requests to stop calling. Absolutely disgusting marketing techniques from a company this size. DON'T USE ROGERS AS YOUR CELL PHONE PROVIDER.

Survey
I have been called everyday from this number on my Rogers cell.

I picked up once and it was a "Quick Survey" for Rogers customers.

I gave the number a call back and got a recorded message stating that it is a Rogers Survey and Promotions number to get me new and exclusive offers for being a loyal Rogers customer.

I was called almost every day for last 3 weeks. Today finally I answered and they said it's a survey from Rogers for my cell-phone. I told them I don't have time to answer.

I'm a Rogers wireless subscriber & I've taken to adding such numbers as these to my contacts list under the category SPAMMERS & assigning the same unique ringbone to each so that I can just ignore these calls whenever they occur. A little time spent now saves a lot of hassle later.
What I don't understand is that if these calls are designed to generate business why don't they stay on the line or even pick up -- sounds like a fruitless & wasteful exercise to me.

I just phoned Rogers, they have no record of any outbound marketing calls for me, and this number calls me every day (I ignore it, obviously). The Rogers guy I was speaking to said that it's not to say it's NOT Rogers, but he suggested I ask them questions to make sure they're legit, and not just phishing for information. He told me to ask them details about my plan, how long I've been with them, etc, to verify that they're actually with the organization. If they can't answer it, hang up - I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

Spam call, apparently from Rogers but the number traces back to Verizon in the States.  She said that they were contracted by Rogers to call their cell users to offer lower cost LD.  Sounds like the kind of scam Rogers might pull.  I ported my number away from Rogers a while ago.

They called 5+ times, no one was ever there.

Called back finally. Rogers wanting to thank me for being their customer and offer me a deal.
I told them to remove me from the list as this number has been harassing me for a month now.

Okay, it actually is Rogers.
They have been calling my LAND LINE (which is a Shaw digital phone line) repeatedly- several times a day- about my Rogers wireless cell phone. I am on the National Do Not Call list- that fact that they are calling me from Canada makes it an illegal call. I have been hung up on, too.
Yes, they are calling about "GREAT DEALS and OFFERS", but they do not know who I am or what my account info is since they are making calls on a "dialer" and only have my phone number on outgoing calls. When they receive an incoming call, they need all my info to look up my account to see what "DEAL" I am eligible for.

When I told them to remove my # from their list, the REP told me that "since I have a contract with Rogers, they DO have a right to call" me.

I asked for the supervisor and had to be fairly insistent to get my name off the list. She says it can take 30 days and I will get calls in the meantime!!

This 8669092771 calls my home 5 times in the previous 7 days.

Every time I will push "Answer" button on the phone, and then leave it for 3 minutes before I
hung up.

I hope this little trick will waste their time a little bit.
