8669161093 continually calls Looking for someone who is not me my phone is a cell not a home phone so anybody can just give it out for no reason and say it's there number and after repeated attempts to get them to stop and giving me the whole we will take you off the list i get calls again. Is there any legal action i can take against these people.

Rude obnoxious collection agency from Toronto with ZERO business ethics. Several times called here looking for a deadbeat and ignors cease & Deceast (spelling) requests which is illegal!!! I have pressed charges legally!!!

This phone number is from Trans Canada Credit. If the person they are trying to reach is not you, just call them back and let them know. The representative will simply ask for your phone number and will remove you from their call list. It's easy.

The calls I have been receiving are looking for an individual. If you call the number back and explain that they have the wrong number they will 'remove' your number. I have called them back twice in the last 6 months, and the calls seem to stop. Just have to keep on top of them. FYI you do get charged to call the number. Be polite and people will respond, no matter how frustrated you are.

some stupid bill collector who is on piece work. told her that i have no intention of paying any bill and that my pay comes at month end whether she collects or not. that did not go over well. she called back repeatedly so i contacted my cell provider and got a new number. my cell hardly rings now.

The website to the company is on page 1. I went there and found an email address for just genreal inquires and to them I want a ceast and desist on the matter that the person you are calling is not the person you are looking for. Even if it is the person they are looking for it will still work and tell them that they have you phone number you must have my address to start contacting you by mail. I did this and it worked they stopped calling within 48 hours. Hope this helps.

I keep getting a call to my roomates cell phone for a Josh and he has called them back mulitiple times and explained that his name is Mike Farmer and Josh doesn't have the 403-801-3896 # any longer. He then got his girlfriend to call from my home # and ask to be removed from there list. A Ms. Chamberlein nows is calling our home # and harrassing us over and over again calling under private and asking for Josh. This is due to the call between her and Mikes girlfriend which by the way is also my mom. This needs to stop. This is never ending and now I have no peice at home.

I HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS!!! 17 years ago I had an account go into collection because of an ex as well.  The original account is from Trans Canada Credit. If you plan on paying it, then pay the full amount so that it shows paid in full on your credit report and move on with your life. If you choose to not pay them then do not acknowledge this account from day one because once they receive a payment even if its for $10 dollars then you have acknowledged that this is your account and they can continue to hassle you and take you to court if they wish to. As far as your credit report is concerned, after 3-7 years all inquiries and default accounts are removed from your credit report but if somewhere down the line you make a payment then the default account becomes active again and they 've got you and they can submit this information back to your credit file bringing any credit that you have established back to zero. HERE is the important information that alot of people don't know and it's how they get you. Every so many years the original collection company that your default account was with is SOLD to another collection account hoping to collect the original amount it went into collection for. This is often confusing because you will not recognize the amount so you call them and confirm who you are and then they've got you again. In my case my collection account has been SOLD to 5 different collection agencies in the attempt of reclaiming the original amount plus accrued interest to date. I usually get a 2 year break from calls and letters until its sold to another company and it starts all over. BE CAREFULL, this month I was behind a payment on my HBC credit card and when the phone rang I assumed it was them so I answered because I wanted to let them know that I had made a payment and they should be receiving it shortly. As it turned out it wasn't them and found myself explaining that they had the correct first name not last name. The next day I received a letter in the mail from collectioncomcredit  that's how I figured out it was sold to another company. Now I have to screen my calls again. This will last a few months even if I tell them that this person doesn't live here but they will eventually stop. I will keep posting updates and if anyone has any questions, please post and I will respond to them.

is there anyway that we can file or complaint against them in consumer court or any other small court  ?

They are calling me and harssing;  they are looking for person whom i don't know.

I have wrote to this company and asked for a cease and desist and it worked they stopped calling me within 24 hours. I told them that they can contact me by mail. Hope this helps

I have been getting the same calls, well not me but my mother and I haven't lived with her in almost 10 years. They are looking for me. I have recently written them a cease and desist letter and told them to stop calling. I am just waiting to see if it stops. This is annoying what is so important that they can't write a letter. My parents are sick and so not need this. I mean if they have a phone number on hand you'd think they would have a address

This number calls our business and just has an automated message that says: "Please continue to hold, your call is important to us", then a short blare of music, then the message again...over and over.

I'm not quite sure what kind of scam this is...

I called their number, gave them my cell and asked them to stop calling me.  "James" who answered confirmed with me that it had been removed and advised to not hesitate to call back if the calls continued.

this number has shown up on my phone several times. I do not answer it, but today it called me twice within ten minutes. I did try to call it back and they don't say who they are just to stay on the line and someone will be with you shortly. who is this???  anyone know???
