This is a legitimate ph# for the Fraud Dept for my Visa Debit card with IBC. I called the ph# on the back of my card & they verified it was the correct ph# They will not ask you for full information only last 4 of the card, last 4 of SS# & month and day of birth. One charge was legit & one was not. Glad they called.

This caller is as fraudulent as the people that left positive comments about it. Do not answer, much less give them any information about your account.

I received a call this morning from the IBC Fraud Department and gave me a fiel number and ask me to call back to verify some charges. I called back the number and put in the file number twice and then they wanted my Visa card number. I hung up and called the local IBC Bank, they informed me they don't need my account numbers because they are all on my records and advised me not to answer them anymore.

Just received a call from this number claiming to be IBC Visa Fraud Prevention. Hung up immediately and called IBC directly who told me the number is NOT legit and not one of theirs. They had no flags, no records of suspicious activity, and no records of any call sbeing made out of their call center regarding my account. If you are ever leary I say contact the bank first.

This call was a recording from IBC's fraud protection system informing me I needed to call them immediately to verify suspicious usage of my Visa debit card. Instead of calling the number back, I called IBC and was informed the number was not legitimate and to disregard all calls from that number in the future. Just wanted to warn you all, and say that if you get a call such as this, hang up and call your branch to confirm if there is really a problem with your account first.

It really is Visa Fraud Protection Services. When you call, skip the "enter your credit card number" prompt and hit 0 to get an operator.
The nice lady who answered explained that they are an optional (to account holders) service contracted by banks who issue Visa cards. Their automated system flags purchases based on certain predetermined factors, such as my case, which involved several online purchases where the funds went to merchants in various countries.
They were flagged because the charges were made close together in time, but too far apart for me to have made the purchases in person. Once I confirmed the legitimacy of the caller, and my identity, she listed two recent charges, both of which I validated.
I asked if the merchants in question had already been paid, and she said all charges had been approved. Apparently the automated system only flags purchases - it doesn't actually prevent them from going through.
The lady also said that, if you want to opt out of the fraud protection program, you have to call the bank who issued your Visa card. I chose to leave it as is.

This is a legite number for IBC Fraud Unit. They called to confirm transactions we made on our card. They did not ask for card number or anything. I called my local branch and they verified the # as being the Fraud Unit.

This really was the fraud unit for IBC Visa card. I had not used the card for some time and used it online this morning and within a couple of hours they called me. However I did not call them back but went on conference call thru my local bank and talked to them.

I called the IBC number on the back of my card to verify that this phone number was legitimate because I was very suspicious after having not found Visa Fraud Protection Services on Visa's main website and after encountering numerous negative comments on various message boards including this one. The IBC representative to whom I spoke told me that the number was in fact legitimate and I requested that I be connected to it. I got a recording of my most recent transactions, verified that they were authorized by me, and that was it.

This is the frsud department for IBC. When they call, you just need to call the local number for your bank & they will transfer you to Visa Card Holder Support Services. They do not ask for your card number. They called me because someone made a fraudulent charge on my card.
