I have been receiving calls from this number lately. They are "pretending" to be USAA. I have reported it to USAA directly. (I am a member.)

IF USAA uses a third party to help verify information, they mail a notice in ADVANCE! I know, I receive them from USAA and I am never asked for identifying information. Also, if it was USAA they already have all the information on file. Lastly, they always leave a message. This number never leaves a message.

USAA asks that anyone getting calls from this number to please report them. This is not the first go-round they have had. They also said a lot of this has coincided with a couple of the internet bugs that stole peoples passwords etc. They said to remind everyone to update that information and change it regularly.

A private number we have has been getting calls from this number.  They do not leave a message.  My husband called them back from a different line, and they answered as "USAA".  When my husband asked what dept they were from, they hesitated, then answered "Debt Solutions".   They didn't realize that we had just called the true USAA, and the company confirmed that there was no need for them to call us.  In fact, they only have 2 other numbers listed for us.

This phone number has been reported to USAA's Fraud Dept. for review.  If you get a call from this number, please call the true USAA number on your card, if you have one.  Report the number to the Fraud Dept.  If you do not have a USAA account, please do not give them any information.

I am receiving many calls from 866-932-6821. My understanding is that this is a phishing attempt with criminal intent to attempt to render payments from individuals selected at random. Please report to proper authorities.

Most likely it is a legitimate call from USAA or one of their affiliates/partners. If you or a relative is with USAA do not give them any personal information including in the security questions. USAA acts like a Government intelligence collection agency but is not regulated by the legal and moral constraints the government is regulated by. USAA is fraudulent in their actions and attempts to collect debt, and in marketing. If you have been with USAA for longer than 10 years this is not the same company it was founded on. They can no longer be trusted with your information or decisions. They are working for profit and bonuses like all insurance and financial institutions.

Remember it is always bad to trust your money and banking decisions with the same firm/institution that is also billing you.Their motivation to keep your money is clouded and is not in your best interests. It is always better to trust your money with competing entities such as billing and saving. Banks make money from loaning your money and therefore want to profit from the money you have in their bank. Billers want to profit by providing you a product or service for sale. Combining the two is a bad combination since the biller knows your net worth, their competition, and information you would not want a biller to have.

Make no mistake. USAA is a for profit entity and it's business morals are only as deep as US law. Which is not very deep in protecting your rights. Further USAA has you sign multiple agreements that are not in your best interests but protect USAA, allows them to dilute your rights, and dilute all the financial and moral obligations they can get away with.

Do not sign or approve of any agreement/ or privacy agreement that states your personal, financial, or marketing information may be shared with affiliates or partners outside of the specific business you have paid the company for. Privacy agreements which most consumers simply rubber-stamp are there to erode your rights that protect you from marketing, collection, and a diversity of problems.

Received 3 calls from this number saying that they're looking for a person who owes a credit card balance to USAA.  I told them they had a wrong number, but still received more calls.  So I called USAA directly at a different number and asked them if they had any connection to the 866 number.  Yes, that's their collection arm.  She advised me that they're taking my number out of the system, and I shouldn't receive any more calls in error.  We will see.

The call me two times everyday. Once they claimed that they were "USA representatives" and after that call, I knew they were pseudos. I ignored their calls but eventually I picked up after two weeks. They had me on hold for 3 minutes without any information about the number. I hung up because I was out of patience. It is definitely a scam. I do not know what to do for the next calls.

I called 8669326821 from a different number than they called me at.  With all the noise in the background it sounded like a boiler room operation.  I told them I was returning the call that appeared on my cell phone number and they could not pull up any information on my number they had called.  I immediately hung up and dial the USAA number on the back of my credit card.  The USAA people put me through to their Fraud Detection Department.  USAA Fraud Detection Department looked up my account and told me they had not called me and that the 866 number is a phishing scam.

No it is not USAA. It is really ARM inc... USAA sold your accounts to a third party collection agency pretending to be USAA. They can care less about your membership with them, all they want is the money you owe them!!!
Google the number if you don't believe me.
ARM is located in Thorofare NJ 08086.

"Shocked" is right. It is USAA's collection department and they are ruthless even if you are an innocent party.

It is a bill collection leg of USAA, sorry Navy Mom.  My mother - was contacted in search of my brother in law - who has been avoiding their calls admittedly to avoid paying his debt.  They have gone as far as to contact a completely unrelated and unaffiliated person to close the case.

**Do NOT give them any info at all, not even your name or relationship to the person**

He's in the Navy and USAA is a ** Military Bank **

They said it wasn't a bad call, and was just wanted to update his contacts file..

Callers name sated to ask for was Elizabeth - at extension 7126

My son said they are a scam - and they are watching and checking his bank account for theft
He has No unpaid debts.. so it is not bill collection
