I went to Take Care clinic in Walgreens. 2 months later I get a bill for co-pay amount that I had already paid at the clinic. Now the collection agency is calling. Im having the same issues with the collections people wanting me to give my personal info. Either bad business practises or a scam!

This number left me an automated message that says "Please call me back at: 8669401781". That's it. No name, no reason. I read some of the replies here and I've used the Take Care Clinic before so I'm sure it's them but we've been wrestling with them for months over the bills we already paid and the receipts we faxed in (which they again lost or have no record of receiving). It is very frustrating and unprofessional.

Had a good experience with this one. I called the number back and pressed 1 to speak to a representative. One came on the line right away and said I had a $25 balance from a Walgreen's clinic visit. I said I was waiting for a bill for that and hadn't received one yet. She said she would have a bill sent out right away and that it would have an address for me to send my payment. Very courteous and efficient, no nastiness.

Ahh...thanks for the heads up that it's the Take Care people. Interesting that they are calling me on a Saturday when the check for the bill has already been cashed. Once the rep actually picks up I should have a rather fun conversation.  *

So here is the deal,

TakeCare billing does not bill if your balance is 0 or less but will send you to collections for unpaid balances on a visit.

Feb Visit -$23 they own me money.
July Visit +$8 I owe them money
Total -$15 They owe me money.
But sent me to collections for an unpaid bill they never sent because my balance is not billable.

Call TakeCare direct do not collect the collections back unless you really TC.

That's not Take Care, it's a collection agency that Take Care contracted to handle outstanding bills. I got a call too and don't owe any money to them and never received a bill. Have my insurance company's Explanation of Benefits to prove they were paid.

Call Walgreens directly 866-825-3227 and talk to them to get it cleared up. Make sure you tell them to update their records with the collection company so they stop calling you.

This is a call from Walgreen's Take Care Clinic.  I got my first bill two weeks ago for a December visit after I called this number back and it said it was our final bill.  The people on the phone said it was about to go to collections.  Pretty ticked that it took almost 6 months to get a bill and told that it was going to collections.  Not only will they wait, they will not get my business anytime soon.  HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!

I'm assuming this to be a scam. I went twice, paid my co-pay, gave them my insurance, etc. Nothing more to be done. Just strep and a follow-up. I am angry that they called me and then promptly put me on hold telling me to "wait for the next available representative" and then it said that my call could not be processed (as if I called them) and for me to leave a message with name and account number. Account number for what? I never learned who or what they were. I left a message saying that I didn't appreciate being called, put on hold, and I have no idea what they're talking about, so it better not happen again. If it does, now that I know this, you can guarantee I won't be as nice.

The message that I got was "This message is for (insert your name here).  It is important that we speak with you.  Please call Erica back at xxx-xxx-xxxx."  No mention of who it was, so I kept ignoring the messages.  I finally looked up the number and found that it's for Take Care Clinic and apparently is regarding a bill.  I visited in late February (had terrific service, by the way) and received a bill in April which was dated April 3rd.  On April 28th, I paid the bill with my health savings account and the funds are shown as being out of my account.  I called the number back, and was finally directed to a place to leave a message as I had been holding forever.  The instructions were to leave my name, account number and message.  I gave my name, told them that I didn't know my account number as they had called me and I hadn't known why, and left a message that IF they were calling about a bill, it had been paid - I was looking at my health savings account information (which I wasn't going to give to them).  If they needed to call me back, I told them that I wanted a full message about WHY they were calling!

Got this call this morning and when I answered, nobody was there.  I called the number back.  It was Take Care Health.  My daughter went to a walk-in clinic in Walgreens and this was who bills it. I paid with online banking on Feb. 25 and it cleared my account on March 8.  They claim they weren't paid. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very polite but said if they can't find the payment having been paid they'll call me back. What????

Got these calls a couple times.First time left a message, nothing more than introducing themselves as "Take Care Health Systems" and instructing me to call them. As they didn't even bother saying WHY they called, I ignored it. Afterward, no message was left. I don't know if its a billing matter, as I did go there a couple times several months ago, but they took my insurance info and I paid a co-pay. Furthermore, they've sent me nothing in the mail. Smells to me like it might be disguised solicitation, but who knows. I know sure as heck I'm not taking any kind of action solely on the basis of phone calls. Heck, what action would I take?

Aparently this is a third party hired by take care health clinic to collect on unpaid bils. They called me and asked me for my social security number and DOB. I told them that if they are calling me, I have no idea who they are and would not give it out. They then said they would not be able to help me. To which I said, that is fine because I didn't call you in the first place.

Awful.  They call you and automated voice asks if this is "John Smith" (substitute your name here).  If so, press 1.  Then asks you again.  Press 1 again.  *Never* identifies who is calling.  Then it plays a message saying "Thank you for calling"!  Then it puts you on hold to wait for the next representative!!  Hah!
