no message or anything.  just know it's another annoying call

I got a call from this number.  It was a Robocall push poll from the NJ Republican Party.    TWICE in the last month I have specifically told them to not call me.   I am also on the DNC list.   I sent a third e-mail to the NJ state and local committee and to Lonegan, the Senate candidate:

"I just received a robocall push poll from the Republican Party on 6 October at 2:13pm from phone number 866-940-2026.     Note that I SPECIFICALLY told you several times not to call, especially with robocalls.  (See previous correspondence)

How can I trust Republican politicians to listen to me when they are in office when the party ignores my VERY SPECIFIC instructions?   I guess you have lost my vote."


Good news and bad news. The Good news is that I got a call back from a REAL PERSON in Lonegan's campaign, asking about my e-mail.

We discussed the issue of obnoxious robocalls.  Basically his answer was  ?It is the way things are, we won't change?  It was almost as if we were talking about two different things.   He said that they are not covered under the DNC list.  I made the point that people put themselves on the DNC list for a reason and that most did not care what kind of annoying calls that they get, political or non-political and that their wishes should be respected.     He hemmed and hawed and gave various reasons why they cannot make DNC /etc lists work for them.  He said that they get all sorts of lists of likely voters and it would be hard to correlate them with any other list, especially a DNC list.    Looking back, it sounded like a bunch of excuses, not real reasons.   It  even sounded to me like arguments that telemarketers had about the establishment of the DNC list 10 ? 15 years ago -technical reasons why they could not make it work.   Legitimate telemarketers DID make it work because they had to.    If legitimate merchants and companies can and do make the DNC list, political organizations can too.

I recieve at least 4-5 calls a day from this number. I do not answer it and they leave no message.  I called the number back once and all I got was, " thankyou for calling research survey all our operators are busy"

I was hoping to have my number taken off their list.

I am on a no call list in my home state.

Last I checked this site was about harassing phone calls not politics.  If you'd like to spout you're political stuff please do it on Face Book or a Political Forum.  

You can call the number back and press 1 and  have your number taken off of their list.  I did and I haven't received another call from them.

Rec'd msg from Jenny at RNC (listed on caller ID as private caller) to vote republican because they will do a better job than the democrats.  I myself have done research on the signers on grover norquist's pledge and have decided I will not vote for any candidates who have signed this pledge.

Message from 'RNC not paid for by any particular candidate' asking to 'vote Republican' because of Democrat 'runaway spending' and other stump speech things. Mildly amusing...do they really think Americans are stupid?

Rather long recorded message left on answering machine.  A woman's voice speaking too close to the microphone, making it hard to make out exactly what the message was, but I did hear 'Republican National Committee" mentioned a couple of times. Rating: Nuisance.
