Same letter also in Charleston area; I'm reporting immediately to USPS Mail Fraud and FBI. Recommend all others do the same to ensure this is stopped immediately before anyone falls victim to this scam. These reports can easily be done online

I got the same letter with the exception of a different 866# 866-955-0874. You'd think if they're going to try to scam me they'd have the decency and foresight to at least create a fake website. There is no United Airways! There is no Amy Reed, Vice President. Google any airline and you're gonna find 100's if not thousands of sites to make reservations, check departures/arrivals etc... and you can Google virtually any company by the telephone and type the name of the person or just type Vice President and it will give you the information 99% of the time. Google United Airways and you get nothing! Donut! Zip! I'm not sure what the bottom line scam is, but with today's technology and creative hackers I'm convinced it has to do with calling the toll-free #. DON'T CALL THE NUMBER! Let them waste their money on postage, which by the way was a regular stamp.

I received the same letter today. I'm in the Chicago area. The fact that it says United "Airways" instead of "Airlines" was the tipoff. I googled Amy Reed and found this site as well as one from Scam alert back in July. I wouldn't call!

Received a letter with no return address with a stamped area from Phoenix AZ 852 dated 07 Jan 2013. The letter had a heading of "United Airways' and the phone number 1-866-955-4313.
Also with my name and address which is located in Charleston SC stating that I had qualified for an award of 2 round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S from any major international airport. The letter also stated that they have made several attempts to contact me without any success saying that this would be their last attempt. That if they did not hear from me soon, they may need to issue the ticket vouchers to the alternate. Letter was signed; Regards, Amy Reed, vice President
