Jo Ann - what happened on your cruise? Was it worth it? I got an offer for 2 round trip airfares and 8 day/7 night cruise for 2 leaving from any major port?
Was it worth it?
DMD 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
what happened in DC? Did you ever get the free carnival cruise?
Dale 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
They are also calling from a number 402-982-0696, caller ID says voter research and out of Neb. Too many phone numbers not to be a scam
Paul 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Did you ever go to the presentation and get your free cruise? Or a waste of time?
maryland crab 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
The postcard came addressed to my husband. I know it's too good to be true but would really like a vacation with just my husband....sorry kids. Before I called (from work) I tried to check out the phone number with reverse look up but found nothing. A friend from work suggested using the "VIP offer number" and here I am. Thanks for your comments. It helps keep me grounded. As for phone calls...we have been getting a lot of calls the last few weeks with no one leaving a message. Now I know. Thanks!
Jill 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Did you find out if it was a scam?
compassrose 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
I got one of the postcards today. I knew that a 7-day cruise and free airfare had to be a come on. I wonder if Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Celebrity cruise lines know they are being used as bait?
The number I'm leaving is printed on the post card.
JoAnn 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
I received this postcard too but I did call the # and they are promoting a wholesale travel agency. They said to get this free cruise and airfare my husband and I would have to sit through a 90 minute talk about there services. They said you do receive a free cruise plus airfare for 2. Well needless to say we are going to sit through the talk and see what happens. I am hoping I am not wasting my time but I won't know till I try. I will let you all know what happens.

eileen 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown

Dylan 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
We got the same card, with "NCA TAMPA" at the bottom. It's nice to have sites like this where we can look things up and express our concerns.
Ashkay 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Wow! These people are crazy! I thought i was in a dream for a second.
My mom won one of these things, so we were all excited and called that number
1-888-811-5565, looks quite familiar to a few people above! Then they asked for the ticketing ID, 8993, the whole time the chick was coughing, sneezing, and making suggestive references.. I was very much offended. They then told us to come to DC in May for the 90min session on whats needed. I had to google this to see if it was a scam, and here we are, what a scam...i cant believe i gave them my number...now im going to be harassed with calls 24/7, JOYOUS!
I hope this is a help to everyone, its a scam! But i do wonder what will be going on at the thing in DC..

Same as above.
Cee 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Thanks for the info.
Received the same postcard with the VIP #958-0016, Toll Free #1-800-213-8281 and postage permit from Tampa, FL. Even includes a bonus gift: Round trip airfare for 2. I thought it sounded fishy.
John 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Dang. I wanted it to be true. I'm all ready for a free cruise.
VIP 958-0016, Toll free number 1-800-213-8281. My post card says NCA Tampa and the postage permit is from Tampa, Fl.
Wayne 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Just received a card. Guess what the VIP OFFER number is? Yup, 958-0016. Toll free number is 800-213-8281. The business is NOW operating as Blue Water Vacations out of Egg Harbor Twp, NJ.
This is a SCAM! Same people running the office as in several newscasts out of New York.
Don 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Yep! We've been getting these calls for about a month now, and last week the post card showed up with the same VIP OFFER# 958-0016. I've never called or answered any of these offers before, and I'm not starting now. This has scam written all over it!
Bobi 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
I recieved the same postcard with a different # 1-888-811-5565 It looks like they are using multiple phone numbers to avoid people finding these comment sections based on the phone number alone. Funny thing is, my VIP OFFER# 958-0016 is exactly the same as some others have already said was theirs.
Paul 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
These folks have been calling for weeks, leaving messages on the voicemail (which most honest telemarketers don't do). They say that "it is extremely important that I call them about the wiinning entry I made at the Summerfest" last summer. I never went to that (wasn't even in my neighborhood) and I never fill out those drawing cards (some companies might actually give something away but the intent is always to get names and personal info for building databases for sale). So, needless to say, I haven't called them back. I am going to lodge a complaint to my State PUC about telephone harassment.
Richard 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Received same postcard as others - same supposed offer - also NCA Tampa, BUT a different phone # 1-800-313-5032
Looks like the same deal!!
camille 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
Okay it's me again... called back for more information and got someone different on the phone. She asked a bunch of personal questions... basically looking for couples living together or husband/wife. She alleges that the promotion for single people is finished.
The couple has to have proof that they live together... because they are a wholesale travel company... selling travel packages based on household income.
Once she found out I was single, she hung up on me! Sheer waste of time but hope this helps someone!
Camille 2011-06-06 21:03:50 Unknown
I received a postcard with my name on it, regarding late birthday 8 day/7 night cruise on a major cruise line too!
I called the number on the postcard. The genius who answered the phone wanted me to provide the ticketing number with the "dashes" included... shouldn't she know where the "dashes" go?????
Do not waste your time calling the number! This is likely a hoax because it sounds too good to be true! Anything that sounds too good, usually is... unbelievable!!!

Look up this site. It is about a lawsuit where La Bonne Vie Travel\NCA TAMPA is taking consumers money and not providing services. What's funny is the company is located at Park Ave in Manalapan, NJ. The same address where MDU is located and presenting their seminar (and where you receive your voucher for your free cruise and/or airline tickets). They probably changed their name due to the poor publicity and lawsuit. Apparently, there are over 300 complaints filed with the Burlington County Consumer Affairs Office regarding the travel company.
After speaking to one of the gentlemen in sales Sat, he was suppose to have a manager or sales director call us yesterday.I still have not heard from them.
Paul 2009-10-25 04:37:40 Unknown
forgot to add ... I have no established business relationship (EBR) with these folks. We can also register complaints with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), info is at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/tcpa.html .

I too received a postcard promising a Free Birthday cruise. Its from www.dreamvacationsinternational.net. They want you to be married, be between the ages of 25 - 75 & make at least $40k/ year. You need to sign up for a 90 minute talk, after which you are supposed to get your vouchers. They give you a different phone number to call to get directions. Googled the # 7328515385. Guess what the top result was to http://www.ripoffreport.com/Cruise-Ships/Bentley-Travel-Five/bentley-travel-five-points-tr-272f3.htm
