Received call from 874-000-5445 at 2:38 pm local time today, 7/22/09.  I did not answer the call, and the calling party left no message on my answering machine.

Called this morning to say the account was ok.

caller i d said name unavailable----recorded message offered the lowering of interest rates on a credit card---never asked for anyone by name or mentioned what credit card company was involved---we are on the federal do not call list---put these people out of business--please

I received a phone call this morning by this company and in the beginning the phone conversation started with a recorded message about lowering the interest rates of my credit card ,and when I pressed 9 to talk to a representative, she told me that I was a preferred customer and how I could lower my interest rates, when I do not bank with them or own a credit card through them hahahah, and when I mentioned that She hung up on me. It is definetely a scam and plus she could have the decency to be polite not to hang on the phone on me.

Same thing - claims there's "no problem with my credit card BUT" it's one of those scams where they're offering a limited time 6.9% on your credit card balances. Hmmm...what little I owe is locked in at 2.99 till it's paid off. When you ask if they can beat that (knowing full well what a scam it is) they call you a liar and then hang up on ya. Tried calling back to be removed from call list (even though we're on the do not call list) and call can't be completed. Must be an out of country #.
