I got the exact same call from Mr. William Bradley badge Number 5930. Even gave me a second number to call and "verify" my case number. Clearly they are professional. He stated that I had money to be returned to me form back taxes from the IRS.  He said that I needed to go to western union to send them a clearance amount of $680.00 in order to receive my back taxes.
He wanted me to send the money to Maire Wirpzfeld in New York today so that they could deliver the cashiers check to me of Friday.  This is so wrong I just can not believe how hard up these people are.

Just received a call saying I won 2.7 million from the # 1-876-265-6596  He said they would deliver the check in person and Fed ex would be there and all I had to do is pay 400.00 for a card from Walmart. I asked him right out if this was ligit and he assured me it was, I didn't believe him and asked him why it would cost me that kind of money if the money was mine, he said for taxes. I looked up the phone # and found the same thing was happening to others, which I figured would be the case. I wont be rich today!!!!!

Well I got a call from William Bradley today. I wasn't home so I didn't actuallt speak to him. He just left a message saying that he was with the Treasury Dept.and that I should call him as soon as possible at the 876-265-6596.
My first thought was why is the Treasury wanting to talk to me? So my inquiring mind wanted to know about that 876  prefix. And it lead me to here. I figures as much. Jamaca Area Code. and a Scam.Is there any point in trying to contact The US Treasury ?

I got the same message today from a "William Bradley" identifing himself with the US Treasury Dept. advising me that the IRS had made a mistake on my taxes of $23,450 and he would be issuing me a certified check, sent out by Fed Express.  He had my address but said he needed to know the nearest airport, I almost laughed at him on the phone.  He told me it would be arriving tonight and all I needed was a valid drivers license no. to verify myself.  He then put me on hold and I hung up.
Mr. Bradley spoke English but had a thick broke.
The scam as I see it is if you follow up and call this no. back, as it is on your caller id, you will get a large charge put on your phone bill.

Prank Call
recv'd a call from a william bradley badge nbr 54693 a federal agent from the treasury dept. and advised
that i had a check for 18,350.00 for mistakes made when doing taxes for 1999-2002 coming to me with
intresest..when i had ask him a few basic questions..like what was the name of my spouse..he said that he did not have any of my personal info..of course i didnot offer any either..i kept asking why i was not
notified by mail from the IRS that i had money coming to me, he could not give me a good answer then he told me the check was to come to me by fedex to JFK airport. this i said to him i don't understand as
to why because fedex delivers in the area of homes by JFK this being said i was to get a pack reload  card for 123.00 from Walmart then give them the 16 digit nbr so as to give it to Fedex so Fedex could then release the check to me..so all he had was my name adddress and telephone which was taken from the white pages or from these people that sells your info for a quick buck..i asked him where his office was and he said in fort lauderdale Fla..I adv'd IRS of all the above info and that they will check on it and that there is No Treasury Office in FLL Fla. SO BE AWARE OF ALL THE SCAMS OUT THERE...
for old people and for all the young people out there (876)area code is yhe island of jamaica so be careful of nbrs starting with nbrs like (876) 265-6596 etc etc etc....

I got the exact same call from Mr. William Bradley on my cell phone about an hour ago. Even gave me a second number to call and "verify" my case number. Clearly they are professional. I asked simple questions about where their company was based and what state the IRS facility is "Actually" located. He fumbled at his answers.  Then he asked, "Do you still live at xxx address?"

This address was a mixture of inaccurate addresses I lived at and now live at. I then told him, "How interesting it is that the IRS provided the Outbounds Department with my living address to have it be completely wrong."

After that I asked him, "Do people really fall for this scam?" He insisted it wasn't a scam. I took down his number, name and "other number" along with the case number and jumped on the web to report it wherever I could.

Got a call today from a man who claimed to be a  William Bradley and said he was calling from the United States Treasury Department.  The call was from this number in Jamaica.  The guy actually left a message requesting that my husband call him.  We're thoroughly sick of all of these scam calls.  They've been going on for months now.
