This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

This same number called me saying i won $700,000 and a benz thru purchases i made on the apple app store with my iphone. Wanted me to western union him $237 for shipping purposes. I knew this was a scam off the rip and told him he wasnt going to scam me and he got really nasty with me.

also told me they may send you a check and then it bounces and your held relyable SO BE CAREFUL NOT TO BE A VICTIM !!!!!!!

another time they told me to go to the boarder and my car i won would be there waiting The antifraud centre told me to ignor the calls and hang up and not say a word if you happen to answer. a voice gives them ammunition, as well as lets them know your home and they call otheres to call you as well so be carefull anything with  1800 is a telemarketer and to not answer if you have call display look at the number and dont pick up they will go away eventually if you ignore them

Ive also been a victim. he calls himself mr mark myers or edmund williams numbers used 876 275 6883, 877 427 3368 or 702 722 9889 these numbers come up 7x a day and been on going for months. wanting me to pay 99.00 at a western union for shipping and handling and Id recieve 3.5 million as well as a mercedes. he claims to be calling from publishers clearing house gave me a password 2525 and only use that and not to speak to anyone else unless they know this password. also a cheif banker name marlando kerr honager jamaica ... W.I  meaning winners international and wait for a call back tonight as I told him western union is 3 hrs away so was gonna get back to me as to how i can get the s/h fee to him through the mail at a post office. Ive called better business beurea as well as antifraud centre this is a SCAM !!!! DO not give any info what ever you do !!!!!!!!!

i got a call from- supposedly- 'publisher's clearing house' saying I won 2.5 million dollars. they said my phone call was recorded for FBI and IRS purposes, verified my address ( I only said yes, was surprised that they had it), asked if I was under 65 years old, married/divorced/single, had a checking/credit account, and said that the check was going to be sent thru fed ex but i only had to send a deposit fee , totally refundable, or an ' insurence fee' of $249. I knew it was not right, told them I did not get anything in the mail. He offered to e-mail or fax me, I kept on insisting for something in the mail, saying I dont mind to wait couple of days. I didnt like the fact that he was trying to push me to act today. I called my atterney, who told me, it was a true scam. the real publishers clearing house NEVER calls you, (they write you, come to your house), NEVER ask for any money for anything. you can google stuff like this if you dont believe me. I thank God that I already prayed this morning with my family, as I was still sleepy and my head was foggy, but the Lord gave me wisdom to question everything and not to believe the guy who called.

today ii received a call stating that i had won a certified check they said theyr company name was super bowl or super ball im not sure since they have a strong accent, i realized it was a scam from the start, but it scared me a lil because they identified my adress without me giving them this info. i know better than to do so. oh and they asked me if i was familiar with fed ex because they were going to send somebody from there to present me with the prize, he kept insisting that i accept the price he even began to get hostile with both me and my husband saying the it was true and that they were going to send a lawyer to certify that it was true. anywho they have called me several times already and now they even changed theyr company name to publishers warehouse ITS A SCAM!!!! pls do not reply or give them any type of info!!!

same exact thing happen to me....and they keep calling back. It is 100% a scam!! Don't even acknowlegde them or give any information!

I have received 11 calls from 876-275-3973 in the last 4 days and many more in the past 3 months.  The man speaks with an accent.  Even if I hang up up he will call right back.  If I don't answer he will keep calling.  He might wait 2 weeks and then start all over again.  He asked me if I knew who the company Fedex was and I told him that I did, because my grandson was a manager of one of their stores.
He told me that a package would be delivered to me this morning for my grandson, but that I was not to tell him about it because it was supposed to be a surprise.  I know that it is a scam of some kind, but the only thing I know for sure is that it shows up on my caller ID only as Jamacia.  I have tried a reverse listing search, and can't find anything, except for sites that want me to pay for the search.  I have blocked that number, but after seeing the list of numbers, I am sure that he will just use another phone.  If he does then I will get a new unlisted number under another name.
