I know rite I've been harassed a thousand times!!!!!! Same 876 # from Jamaica !!!!!!!!!

Carolynn, as you can tell by the number of posts in this thread, this particular colony of foul smelling, woolly headed little Jamaican beasts is THE oldest (i.e. longest running) still in operation.  What you might be surprised to learn is that over 30,000 calls are placed DAILY from Jamaica to the United States for the purpose of trying to swindle/extort money. In most cases, these foul smelling creatures have only your phone number and will try to extract additional information from you using the ruse of trying to verify your correct name/address so they can deliver the prize package.

More than a year ago, I was first contacted by these filthy, little animals, when I received a call from something calling itself "John Baker."  In any event, this "John" was calling to tell me I had won 2.5 million dollars from "Mega Millions" in Las Vegas. It instructed me to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS, load it with $499.25 to pay for my "registration fees." A few days after this call, I was shocked to see this particular scam featured on ABC World News. During that segment, they played the audio of a conversation between an elderly woman - who had already sent them $85,000 - and one of these black stained rodents.

It appears (and personally confirmed today, when "David Anderson" from Washington called) that these roaches have begun using much more aggressive, threatening tactics. There have been numerous reports (both here and on the local media,) of intended victims being contacted by bogus IRS agents. There have also been a few reports that they are specifically targeting spouses of our deployed servicemen. This rodent made several call-backs until, I calmly told him that I would fly to his home in Jamaica and help all of humanity by gelding him (or words to that effect.)

Spread the word, these vile creatures need to be stopped. Permanently!

Numerous annoying calls from Mega Millions from Jamaica. I have repeatedly asked them not to call, then I ignored calls, and finally I have blocked all of the numbers. They change numbers but I keep blocking them hoping that they run out of phones.

I just received a call from 876-798-0549 Mega Millions Company, saying that I won $850,000. I told him that if I won $850,000 on the Mega Millions, I would have filled out and signed my ticket and they would have all my information. I told him that I know it's a SCAM and hung up!

These nasty, dirty, rotten scammers got my wife to fall for this and she sent them 299 dollars and now they keep calling like 21 times a day! I talked to Lucas Rodwell, Michael Henry, Romain Tompson, and a few others last night. I was able to get addresses and a lot more info out of these devils. I called fraud protection agents and also reported it on ic3.gov. The only reason my wife fell for it was she has done a lot of stuff with Publisher Clearing House and didn't even think to call me or check into it. But PCH does not require you to pay taxes or anything to claim your prize. They've called from (876) 321-8011, (876) 281-1422

This guy named Michael Lorence called me and said I won the Mega Millions and that he was an official from Las Vegas. But it seemed fishy - the phone # read no caller ID. This is a scam!! And he keeps calling me!!

We have been getting "876" numbers for the last couple of weeks,  Unfortunately my 94 year old mother answered the phone and was told she won a million dollars etc, etc.  In the last three days there have been 12 different 876 numbers ( I had deleted some earlier ones).  The letters JM are to the right of the numbers. Today, they have called every hour - took phone off the hook.  There was one message for her to call the Mega Million Lottery Company.

I have been receiving calls from Paul the number is 876 509 8799. I just won 850.000.00 dollars. they want me to pay my 1% of 150.00 dollars. They don't even know math. Then Michael called me from UPS setting up a delivery as soon as I got my approval card from a lawyer in Washington. I still haven't talked to the Lawyer. I am having fun telling them that I have moved which is true but to a place that I have only visited. I am having a blast playing with their minds. The stupid Jack A***s, don't even know that in Texas we have a law that is called Castle Law and they don't want to threaten me or my family in any way.

His name is James English and i pretty much her the exact same story but this man was smooth and always calm. He even sent me a personal check because i didnt have the funds for those moneypacks.Long story short just found out it most likely is a bad check. He tells me this is your money i wanna show you this is for for real.

Long story short called me said his name was Andy Goldman and I won Mega Million lottery and wanted me to go to walmart then said his manager changed his mind to Western Union to pay $500 and I fell for it until I googled Mega Million Lottery Company (this is what was on the email he sent me) SCAM here's the he used # 876-384-9380

Megamillions / 2.5 million won. Thick accent .. named him Mister Alex Erin. Wanted me to pull out a white sheet and write details. I told him to email me information since I needed it to donate this money to charity of his choice.

my fiancé got the call today but the number was 876-299-4140

Got a call from a ray walker at (876) 557-8876 claiming I had to buy a Walgreen invitation card to claim my prize....yea right

It blows my mind when I see that "portfolio Recovery"  is an advertiser on this site.   The biggest bottom feeding,  low life, sewer sucking,   old debt collectors around.  Surely we have limitations to who we will accept money from?????????????

You do understand that the post that you are directing your comment at is almost 2 years old don't you?  Considering the scams perpetrated by these people,  I consider the insult less than adequate.

Apparently they are targeting young ones too. I'm 30 and just got a call from a man names John Marshall from 876-584-2953 claiming that ive won $250,000 and a 2014 benz. But claimed that I had to pay $800 bucks to receive the prize. I told him if I won just take it all out of the prize money then give me the rest! I simply told him I don't believe him....and then he had the nerve to bring God into it!!! Talking about hes blessing you and I have no reason to lie to you...what killed his hopes is when he said ill get my prize today if I sent the money today. Fail.... scam!!!

I received a cell phone call yesterday & today the number is 876-365-3239 name David Kennedy. I have won a truck & $2.5 million

Tell your Mom what so many say - If it sounds to good to be true it isn't. $200.00 is a fairly cheap lesson, but I'm sure your Mom would rather buy something nice for herself or possibly you.

Started calling yesterday, I requested a fax of all he was saying so I could possibly figure out who he really was, but no info on Fax Header. When he called back again 2 minutes later I ask him if he had a brother named David or John or any other name or if he was in Jamaica at which time he hung up on me. I had more questions, but dang it he didn't want to talk anymore.

Received a call this morning from a David William. (That's the American name they picked?) He told me I won 2nd place in the Mega Millions Lottery. The location of the call was in Jamaica which he denied and said he was actually in New York. He kept saying "my friend" after every single sentence. He honestly has never been to the States because no telemarketer says that. He asked me to purchase a prepaid card at Walmart. Then told me I have to pay them $150 to get the money. Ya right! If I just won 850,000 dollars you take the $150 out of it and give me the rest moron! Told him I'd call back in an hour. The number is now blocked and deleted. To the scammer that reads this. Go get a real job and be useful in society like the rest of us!

Oh yeah- they told me that I won $45M and a choice of either an Audi or Mercedes Benz, with 2 years paid insurance and a gas card that worked "island-wide."

When I asked him about his area code he told me that he was on the road, out of town, and his phone was roaming.  He said his company was based in Vegas and Brentwood, NY.  He said that I he could send the check to my closest Bank f America and all I would have to do is present my social security card and license.
